How I do keyword research?

I use premium keyword tools like ahrefs and an in-house keyword machine at the IT firm where I work to track your close competitors and see what keywords they rank for.

Then I look for close synonyms of these words that are easy to rank for with at least 90k search volume a month from tier one countries. (Where I work, we actually have an AI machine that automates this whole process after which we only have to verify manually)

How I do backlinks
Depending on your revenue generation model.
I use expired domains or guest posting on highly rated platforms like Newyork times and Bloomberg etc.

Writing a few posts based on keywords generated above and posting them on high authority sites in your niche will make those posts to start ranking immediately. If I then link back to your site, you will have a high value backlink that will send you massive traffic.
This is how the new Google algorithm works now. They track how many of your backlinks are valuable which is a measure of how many of these backlinks actually send you traffic and what volume of traffic you receive from each of them a month.

This is why a new site might have just 40 backlinks and start ranking immediately (not to ignore other SEO optimizations)

If you think of it, this makes sense since, over the years people have found ways to heinously cram their links even into high value sites (like I said it is very easy to do this if you know the trick )
