A 17-year-old boy has been arrested for stabbing his 24-year-old teacher to death. Photos of the boy brandishing a knife before carrying out the crime have now been released. Photos of the injured teacher lying on his hospital bed before his death have also been shared online.

According to reports, the boy stabbed his teacher last Thursday in full view of a class that was in the process of writing an examination at Ramotshere Moiloa High School in Zeerust‚ North West, South Africa (read here).
It was gathered that the teacher named Gadimang Daniel Mokolobate reprimanded the student on Wednesday, September 12, for skipping the queue at the school’s feeding programme. The next day, September 13, the boy arrived at school armed with the weapon.

The department of basic Education national spokesperson, Elijah Mhlanga, said:
On Thursday, he didn’t come to school on time. He arrived at 11am and went into the classroom where other learners were writing.
Two teachers were in the classroom invigilating. He approached the teacher who had reprimanded him yesterday and stabbed him in the chest several times.
The boy ran away shortly after stabbing his teacher but a security guard and other students tackled him.

According to the department, in March the suspect was given a warning for coming to school in possession of a knife.
Police confirmed that the teen was in police custody and would be charged with murder.

Corps member Emetor Ikenna,26, and his girlfriend, Jennifer, a 24-year-old female student of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, were crushed to death killed in a fatal accident which occurred on Monday, near Ozubulu Boys Secondary School along Owerri/Onitsha Road.

It was gathered that the accident occurred when the driver, Ikenna, while on speed lost control and ran into a stationary trailer with registration number XF 383 AWK from the rear.

Adewale Olakusi, 30, has been arrested by the police in Ogun state for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl (name withheld), in Ota area of Ado-Odo/Ota local government.

In a statement released by the state police command's spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Adewale was arrested on Saturday September 1st following a complaint by the father of the victim.
''The father reported at Onipanu Division that he discovered a sudden and unusual demeanor on his daughter as well as loss of appetite for food.
Upon the report, the DPO Onipanu Division SP Sangobiyi Johnson detailed detectives to effect the arrest of the suspect who happened to be living in the same house with the Parents of the victim. On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime but blamed it on the devil handiwork.
The victim has been taken to the hospital where medical report confirmed that the girl has been carnally violated.'' he said

According to a statemnt released with mugshots read:
The Fraudsters start by befriending you on social media(Facebook) and once you accept the friend request they initiate a friendly chat that promises the victim goodies to be sent through DHL at the airport.
The following day a call will be made and someone will pretend to be an attendant at the DHL office. They will tell the victim to pay clearance fees for the same parcel they claim to have sent you.
Immediately you send the money through Mpesa another call is made requesting for some more money for other documentation and taxes.
After paying the dues demanded, your calls demanding for your parcel will not be picked. That’s the time you realize that you have been conned.
This is therefore to warn members of the general public against such fraudsters.

The Akwa Ibom State High Court, sitting in Ikot Ekpene Judiciary Division, on Thursday, sentenced Friday Uko, a father of seven, to death by hanging for the murder of his pregnant wife.

According to journalist Harrison Essien, Uko, a native of Ikot Ossom in Obot Akara Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, was said to have pushed his three-month-old pregnant wife, Patience, with full force on 14th August, 2014, because she removed N1000 from his pocket and used it to cook food for their seven children (6 girls, 1 boy).
