Please assist with this.

TB test for UK is the fastest. You will get the results that same day, you need to wait to collect it.
It won't take time to get the test done.

Abuja experience.

Please people, I have my money in dollars, but I want to change to Naira for form A, is it advisable to change it now as I am waiting for admission, or wait until they give me the admission before I change it? I am asking because I still need to keep the money for 28days in my account. After admission and before issuing CAS, will the time given to me by the school be enough to get the 28days?

I will advice you to go to Eco Bank, Wema Bank or any other Banks to find out if you need to change your dollars to naira, I am saying this because even with the form A they use dollars for the Pounds transaction and bank charges too can also be deducted from the same dollar Account.

My suggestion

Do you mean the bolded statement negates the 50% payment to enrollment?

It all depends on the total tution fees for one year, I don't know the total Tuition fees.

If you deposit £3,000 or more, at least she will enrol and start class either online or physical. But with £1,000 you will have to pay more to be able to enroll and attend class, remember that you have spent a lot before Travelling and she can't start work to assist immediately you get to Sheffield.
That is why the 50% deposit is very good then you can pay the remaining by instalments through the jobs you get with ease.

This is my daughter's experience, paid 50% before applying for visa last year August and didn't pay anything until February 2021, she's at Leeds Beckett and work in Sheffield, she pay for her accommodation by herself through the jobs she's doing and before four months she sent money home for me to pay through form A to balance her remaining fees, not having any issues with the school.

Long and short of it is that when you pay 50% you will have rest of mind to focus on payment of your accommodation, taking care of yourself and payment of the remaining balance will not be stressful.

The dependant can work full time to help the students, while the Student work 20hrs, but when you get there God will grant you wisdom

Good evening boss, please, what was GTBank rate and the transfer charge, thinking of using them. Thank you.

GTB charges is on the higher side and they don't process as fast as you expected like some other Banks mentioned in this thread

Good afternoon everyone.

Please i would like to know a better city to stay with the family between Portsmouth and Sheffield as my wife got offers for MSc Geographical Information Systems from both universities.
Portsmouth requested for £3500 tuition deposit while SHU requested for £1000.
I'm more concerned about life in both cities, raising a child and eventually job prospects as tuition would still be paid in any case.

Sheffield is not far from Leeds Beckett, if you choose Sheffield, she can still work at Leeds.
But don't be carried away by the 1,000 deposit, if you choose this school pay up to 3,000 so that she can enroll as soon as you get there. Raising your children will not be an issues.

Portsmouth Tuition deposit is okay but I don't know much about Job opportunities.

But those two places are good for Children

Hello house, does anyone have admission to Swansea university?

I just want to ask if the university ask for bank statement of account before issuing CAS to student.

Swansea and most UK Universities don't joke with POF before issuing CAS

]Hello Everyone,

I received a conditional offer from Nottingham Trent University and one of the condition is an English Proficiency Test... I didn't use my WAEC when applying bcoz of a mistake in my date of birth in my WAEC result... I would like to confirm if I could still forward the WAEC as it is to them... Or kuku write an IELTS test to avoid issues.

I will advice you to go to a federal high court and get an affidavit that will state your date of birth and that the mistake is from WAEC. When you get to the Federal High Court they have a format that they will use.

I know someone who have been using this affidavit for years and used it for all Admission and Visa application and twas successful

Try it

Is your daughter the main applicant? For student visa at bsc, msc or PhD level....

Regardless yes its ok to pay from any personal account. It might be cheaper to pay any deposit using form A

2. Yes it can start even before making cas or after. What you just need to ensure is you have the right amount then you can start counting your 28 days

Yes she is applying for student Visa MSc

Thank you so much

1) Please can I use my personal account to pay for my own daughter Tuition Deposit?

2) Is it okay if I start the 28days for POF to get CAS immediately I make the Tuition deposit?

Thank you

Morning Peeps! @Justwise & others who have successfully secured their visa, kindly help check my account attached stmt particularly the Total debit vs. Total credit. Does total debit/credit matter even when you have the right total balance? Will it be an issue considering the fact that expected balance in account at submission is N19,500,000.

Please help as I do not want to make any stupid mistake. hope to submit in 2 days.
Hope for your response.

Before you print your statement, use OANDA to check if what you have in your account is correct, this is because of Currency flunctuation. Also before you print out your statement, pay in some money like N1,000

Good morning to everyone,
Thank you all for given your thoughts and opinion on every question shared on the group.

Can I use a bank account belonging to me but doesn't have cash flows but only the money meant for the study permit will be credited into the account?

Or it has to be an account that is operational with cash flow?

Even though the rules for showing proof of funds in a bank account is to have the money in the account for 28 days, can deposit and withdrawal be made during this 28 days window, can I have more than the amount needed for the visa in my bank account during the 28 days required?

You can use your normal Bank Account that your tuition balance and maintenance fee are kept for 28-30 days.

Because of Currency flunctuation, you need to be saving some money into the account, you can also withdraw, the more funds you have the better. BUT DON'T LET THE FUNDS GO LOWER THAN WHAT YOU NEED.
Always use your OANDA to know if you needed to add more, OANDA is what UKVI is using
My own opinion

Hello House

I would like to know if it’s possible for someone that doesn’t bear same surname as mine to be sponsor me to get a student visa.

I am just wondering, for how long are we going to talk about who to be or who not to be a sponsor.

Please if you don't want stories that break heart, let the funds be in your own account.

You can't use your brother or sister even inlaws, except your parents.

If you read through this thread backwards or recently, ukvi was unable to contact a sponsor through email and the Visa was refused.

The best thing is that your sponsor should transfer the funds to your account, with this you don't need too many documents to submit.

I appreciate everyone who commented on my question about my husband, as my sponsor. To avoid stories that touch the hearts I have transferred the needed funds to my account and count for another 28days. Once again I am grateful to all who shed some light to my query.

Try to be adding some little change to the account in case of currency ups and downs, let there be no shortage

Can I use my sponsor's account or it is better I move the money to my personal account? Kindly help suggest banks that processes the form A request within 7-10 working days.

Thank you

Please and please to avoid long story, let your sponsor transfer the money to your account. Then if the interviewer ask you the source your money, tell them that it's your Mum or Dad that transferred the funds into your account, and you too have been saving to support your self.
Be ready to know the income of your Mum/Dad and what job or business they do.

I used WEMA Bank, it was debited within 5 working days. I didn't give them any breathing space and telex was sent to my email
Eco Bank and Stanbic Bank is also faster

Please I need enlightenment, when paying my deposit, am I to use western union or bank transfer? Or Which one is the form A I see on the thread all the time?

Form A is much cheaper for payment of Tuition fees. Use a Bank that it's transaction are faster. Don't try Banks that twill take a month before you are debited.
When you get to the bank ask for Form A, go with the following documents: admission letter, university invoice, BSc Certificate, international passport and Authorization letter written by you to Debit your naira account with the equivalent.
Some Banks takes 7-10 working days before they debit you and a Telex will be sent to your email address.

Question:
Is it possible to be denied visa after all necessary requirement has been made. As in u make payment for ur sch fees, do all necessary requirement and den still get denied for visa

Can be denied for following reasons:

If your names are not the same on all your documents.

If your POF is reduced due to Currency flunctuation.

If you use sponsor whose Account cannot be verify or not your parents, not bearing the same surname, you can be denied Visa.

Removal of POF before Visa ETC

I started my application for my Uk visa last month. Initially, I applied to USA (Fall 2021)wrote Toefl and GRE all my applications has been waitlisted. This is why I shifted my focus to Uk now......So my question is on this prof of fund my mum has 11 million in her First bank account and I plan to use it for the visa interview. A friend of mine advised me to open a first bank account and transfer the money into my own account. But I am skeptical about it considering that The embassy might call the bank to investigate on my account.
Is it a good move to open an account now and transfer the money there ?

In my own opinion, you don't need new account. If you have any bank account your Mum can transfer all the money into the Bank account.
If you also wish to open an account, research on the Bank that is form A friendly with early transaction for your Tuition payment. Also make sure that your names tally with the account holder as it is in your international passport.
Ukvi will surely make calls to the bank, that's not a problem since all your informations are correct and let the money be intact in your account, you can also be adding more money into the account because of increase in exchange rate.

[quote author=Jafaar post=100482168]I mean a proof of fund of at least 28 days is required, now am expecting like 15 million naira 20 days to my school resumption date.
I will use express Visa,so my proof of funds won't reach 28 days,so in order to start school on time I want to pay for the accommodation and school fees.now my main question is can I show this at the embassy as proof of funds with like a 4 million naira 28 days bank statement?

Be careful of Automatic refusal, there's no short cut in UK visa. Balance of your fees and living expenses for 28-30 days. Ukvi will not see you physically to explain

[quote author=olaness post=100461589]it's not too early. if you have your admission and money, go ahead and apply. you can apply up to 6 months before your program start date. and it will still be processed within the normal time for the amount you paid. Besides, applying now will give you an edge because you will avoid the 'rush hour' so to speak.

Thank you so much

No one is going to Swansea University? Or is there something wrong about the school.

Nothing is wrong with the school, it's a very good University. There are many Universities that people applied to and they will never mention their names on this platform.
Students like schools where they can pay 6 instalments and deposit of say £1,000 or 2,000 deposit.
Go ahead with the university
