Hello, I am also going to Leeds Beckett but haven't applied for CAS yes as I was told I must present a 28 days pof to enable me apply and my POF is just about 18 days now.. please let me know when you get your CAS and how long it took.. thank you Same with my daughter, but trust Leeds Beckett it will surely come out |
Visa Alert! Application date: 16th of July Biometric: 23rd of July (The two days Muslim break really delayed my biometrics date, first time I'd ever hate public holiday) Application type: Priority VI Application transferred to VAC: 30th of July Collection email: 30th of July with visa sitting pretty on my passport Declared: previous USA study visa denial , and schengen visit visa approved I'm really lost for words. I have followed almost all the study threads on this nairaland, I tried German study route but I was denied admission, same with Canada, Even Unilag denied me admission... Eventually when I got over 4 offers from schools in USA, Trump's visa people dashed my hopes. Already gave up studying abroad then this UK 2 years post study came up and I decided to give it a try. Thanks to nairaland for all the priceless information. May all of us achieve our japa dreams. ✌️ Congratulations |
Thanks again. Like you stated, even the 2 mentioned are for September only. That exactly is my challenge. I need several options for January. University of Chester is the only one for now. Bravo!! Social work is not like business programs, like other health programs, the selection process is little more stringent. Also. some schools already have prospective students on the waiting list from previous applications. So, apply to as many that you can the price is right. You also have to check average rent if you intend staying outside school accommodation. The tuition may be affordable but rent isn't. Try Kent (10,300) , Huddersfield. Yes, ALL SEPTEMBER. Try Leeds Beckett University |
As at on that same Friday Standard visa plus priority was about $810 Thts what was debited The rate for conversion was 1.4255 Wow! Thank you, I appreciate |
Jesu!!! Ask her how she got that..that rep dey para oo..abi it has other things she told you? I don't gerrit..its too much. Later told me that it's both Visa and priority |
I guess your rep has added Visa fee (348pounds) plus priority fee (220 pounds) together and then she converted the total to Dollar ( times 1.5xxx) 348+220 = 568pounds then * 1.55 = 880 Dolls Note that as Naira to Dollar fluctuates, Dollar to pounds also is not fixed Perfect, this is what she just explained to me after posting on nairaland. You will increase more in wisdom..... Thank you
|
It's £220 Thank you |
Before you travel to the UK. You should buy the test kit, you will need the reference number to enter the UK Thank you so much |
Good evening friends. Please how much is priority? The university Rep told me that priority is $880 and this was what she paid for someone on Friday. Please help me to know if it's correct. Thank you |

Walk in is strictly for biometrics. Priority or Super Priority is for the duration is going to take to get visa decision which is 5 working days and 1 working day respectively. The purpose of walk in is if you need to do biometrics asap and don't have much time to wait till appointment date. Hope you understand now? Please is it possible to pay for walk in and priority? Kindly help me |
Yes including weekends and public holidays |
Visas Received Main Applicant: Priority Dependant: 3 (Standard) -Biometrics: 09.07.2021 (all) -Decision and collection mails: 15.07.2021 (for all) -Pick up: 16.07.2021 (for all) Gratitude to everyone on this platform. Congratulations to your entire family. *** Please aside from the tuition fees and maintenance, how much did you spend on Applicant IHS and Visa 2 Dependants Please kindly help a family of 3 God bless you all.
|
Thanks so much.i really appreciate Please like how much will be the proof of fund for family of 3 ? I don't really know anything about the cost for families. But the applicant must pay the deposit of the Tuition fees and maintenance and the POF can be in the account of either the applicant or the husband as long as they will travel together. ***You can open back to thread 1, you will get the full details You can also make the questions open to nairaland family |
Walk-in means you probably have already booked a date which is very far from your application on either Ikeja tls or vi and you are not satisfied you want your appointment now, you wish to walk in by going there early write your ref and name. This is for Either self-service or assisted whichever you selected when filling your appointment form online. So just walk to the centre you already picked at the application and write down your reference number and name, for Ikeja it's complicated enough people due to the rushing period, I heard some people do go as early as 2 am. Because tls resume by 8 am they will pick about 10 or 20names among the walk-in of yesterday they will then continue calling people with appointments. Remember your walk-in will be for the next day, you're looking for the next day. In conclusion, I will advise people to choose Victoria island which is well organised, ikeja is a no no nooooo no no go area except you know any staff..won bad gan. Thank you so much for your thorough explanation. I am applying from Abuja and will do just exactly as you have advice me |
Good morning, pls do you have any update on MMU CAS? Good morning family. No news yet o, my daughter in the UK have been disturbing them with phone calls, they kept promising this week and today is Thursday now we are still having faith. POF interest is killing us now. God will answer all our prayers |
Good morning everyone.... Please I want to ask if we can apply as a family Or my husband apply first then others apply few weeks after ![]() ??Please advise me.......I'm confused bec I don't understand the chances. Don't be confused Sister, if you can read/scroll up, you will read about family of five that has gotten their Visa, they applied together. If you and your husband have the funds, I adviced you to apply together but if the funds will not be enough, let the applicant apply first. I see this last option very stressful. My own suggestions |
Good morning to all Nairaland family. Please kindly explain the Walk in process, Is it after choosing self service before I will go for the walk in? Please I need your explanation and anyone can also help me. Thanks |
Good morning family, the waiting for CAS from Manchester Metropolitan University is frustrating. Documents were sent on 28th June and till date no response. I have sent many emails and made phone calls, but still the same. Please who is going through this experience in the house? |
