HaneefahRN:pls I'll send you a pm... I'm fine too, the cold tho ![]() |
HaneefahRN:hey dear, I really want to have a talk with you how've you been |
shapman:That Newcastle game tho Newcastle is battling relegation and they're at home...and yet putting them a goal down...., well?? |
limpopo:if I were to play 1x2 sef, it must be with handicaps and never away win(everything wants to defend his home ground). |
picsOR:handicap could help... |
kodded:perhaps we should be thankful it's starting somewhere. Maybe the PDP should get their oars and give us the reason we should vote them in by 2019..., then they'll have all the time to probe this erstwhile government. Tho I wonder why the PDP didn't probe the aforementioned persons you stated, perhaps they were comfortable with corruption notwithstanding who is perpetuating such act. N.B...I'm not a political jingoist..but the level of corruption on this shore is soo rampant that I would celebrate a nadir of justice(esp of political office holders) no matter their party affiliation |
A political office holder jailed over just #51m in Nigeria??, then there is a ray of hope |
For we that voted in PMB on his anti-corruption promises, perhaps we're having the last laughs |
[Yola – A former Commissioner for Finance and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Adamawa state during Boni Haruna’s administration, John Elias has been sentecenced to 10 years imprisonment without option of fine by a Federal High Court sitting in Yola, presided over by Justice Bilkisu Bello Aliyu. The judge on Friday also ordered the Corporate Affairs Commission to shut down his company, ALHAKIM NIGERIA LIMITED as well as pay the state sum of N51.5 million which he stole while he held sway in office. The presiding judge who delivered the judgement under section 3 (2) of the miscellaneous act said the judgement will serve as a deterrent to occupiers of public office who may want to filter resources meant for developmental projects. Aliyu noted that Elias ought to have protected the public trust giving to him by living above board but instead, he decided to flagrantly helped himself with resources of the state and hence have to be punished. The judge convicted Elias on count 3 and 4 charges and sentenced him to 10 years on each charge though the two convictions would run concurrently. “I hereby sentenced the first accused, John Babani Elias for 10 years imprisonment on count 3 and another 10 years imprisonment on count 4 but the two sentences will run concurrently. “In addition, the first convict must return/refund the sum of N51.5 million to Adamawa state local Government joint account fund from where it was stolen and diverted by him and his Coy. “With regards to the second convict ALHAKIM NIGERIA LIMITED, I sentenced it to pay a fine of N5 million on the offenses in count 3 and 4 it is convicted of. In addition, the company would wound up by Corporate Affairs Commission as provided by section 3(2) of the miscellaneous offenses and all its assets forfeited to federal government of Nigeria,” Aliyu ordered.] http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/12/adamawa-ex-finance-commissioner-jailed-10-years/ |
I mistakenly played this game; Kuwait League - Al Nasr - Qadsia Scdate: 04/12/2015 16:35odd type: (1:0) 2 Hodd: 1.48 0 - 6 lol...I had meant to place the handicap on the away team, but hey, providence made a way... sometimes, the luck may on my side. may the premier league receive sense tomorrow...a *need to pay school Fees |
modath:I quoted this coz it brought succour to my soul that a month I spent here was not a waste... thank guys for your inspirational posts on the development of my motherland... the good work of a man speaks after him. |
I wonder how the man is successful with this attitude ... *spit*...I would rather be low class and be good to my fellow man than being an high class dude who lives on exploiting and degrading others...Tufiakwa |
drmikeadams:right...congrats man |
drmikeadams:what did u play on them?? |
drmikeadams:lol...seems Palermo is intent on casting my midweek game... lol, that's better than waiting till night b4 it casts.... see my under 3.5 disappear in just 5 minute to stoppage time... 1-2 to 2-3...lol |
ShokiScientist:well...to your tent O Israel. I believe in hard work... and a tint of luck... but Bill gate wasn't a lazy man in himself...needless to say he was an A* student... ain't saying you're wrong tho.... may today be greens... |
Bbsharon:I'm into medicine....and I like you...eheheheh. truth wouldn't you want to look beyond me as a cardiologist (to be) to seeing me as a man that cares?? lol...essence, career should be the least defining criterion |
only a lazy man takes punting as business. I take it as fun....that can earn me money. stake a thousand Naira to win #4000 per week....always sure 1. stake what you can lose(punting can be surprising, e.g., the Barclay's premier league this past weekend drained me of a thousand naira) 2. never borrow to punt... you've no assurance of returns...hmm. 3. I have goals, I don't punt in random e.g once per week, or wen I have fees to pay... I hope today shows green....good luck to everyone doff my cap for you guys work here |
chukwudi44:now you're officially daft and irreparable silly....no apologies |
kleek:you insult people quite much.... u want to engage people in reasonable conversations, try to be more civil I understand your heart cries tho, I am also of the opinion that we, African Blacks, are low in IQ (we're still technically slaves anyway...abi, if BILL GATE WAS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ERADICATION OF POLIO IN NIGERIA, we've been sold out) |
cycle of poverty |
aNAIJAFAN:then the title shouldn't have been "how we spent the Abacha loot"- world bank the world bank didn't participate in the allocating, spending and monitoring of the loot, they only helped in accessing it from the Switzerland's thiefry banks... but as per the loot, lol, that one's bygone joorr. we should focus more on stopping this carnage of corruption from continuing by strengthening our justice system rather than this white horse race SERAP should go first after the bloated senators and governors first, then I'll start giving them some credibility |
Dbrainiac1:well, I used would....and that wasn't wrong if you had followed the pattern of my sentences, it was pertinent I used 'would'. you can use would in lieu of will modal auxiliaries don't follow concord rules. you could use one in place of the other depending whether it's American or British English. For example; "shall I help you with the homework?? is British while 'should I help you with the homework??' is American 2. Whether you're being authoritative, exacting, commanding or rather pleading, expressing possibility, requesting politely(respectively) says much on the one to use... can you bring that box??' could you bring that box?? would is used for habitual things- whilst expressing the future judging from the past(the reason why I used 'would'); I would be paid at month end(you've always been receiving ur payment at month end, this one no exception) I will be paid at month end(no reference to whether you had been having ur payment b4 at month end) 3. would, could, and should could be used as past form of will, can, shall... I don't really know why I'm typing this tho |
ADBSunkanmi:for now, officially, medicine is 6yrs in OAU...albeit, due to incessant strikes, you could as well put it @7yrs... Anyone that spent 10 yrs in oau medical school must have had a repeat(which not uncommon in medical school). All medical students in Nigeria must undergo a compulsory 1yr internship b4 being fully registered(not to worry, you would be paid) |
daretodiffer:well let's call it off....to me it was just euphemism. no one had thought the op was as black as that... but if it's sensitive to you, I'm sorry on his behalf |
daretodiffer:Every reasonable knew the poster was being euphemistic... lol, and you said the poster was taken it too personal??... lol, you've got to learn how to respond to post with civility yourself. pls take care of yourself.... I can see ure looking out for someone to displace your frustration on.... |

sukkot:did you see 'have a nice day' in my previous post?? now you don't really want to have a nice day...but I've not got your time now adieu, tufiakwa |
