OK undecided Millex

I think you should leave these guys alone. They're just childish and well acting disappointingly. whatever happened to reading the piece and move on if u don't understand them.

the fact still remains the nma wouldn't index more than around 3000 medical students in year two despite circa 300,000 applicants every year.

and as you've rightly said, many-a-people chooses medicine outta ignorance.

bro, is nt hw sm1 is admitted dat ll tels hs successfulness, either admitted 2ru 1st list or vc's list, dy ar both admitted

Hello...,
I ain't talking about future here. I'm talking about nepotism. The same trend that has been a bane to our development. Whatever happened to everyone getting admitted via merit.

Some guys who far more than merit admission are home, coz no one to aid their case(i have a guy with 328 post ume and 231 ume) yet u see some people with far lesser score getting in coz of they know someone who can "corruptedly smugle their names in. Yet they come online and shout around shamelessly.

Leaders of tomorrow indeed

A glaring example is someone with 275 admitted into medicine while someone with 285 has got nothing. Rubbish
Education / Re: 2015/2016 OAU Aspirant Thread. by angiography(m): 12:34pm On Apr 10, 2016
Arguing over VC list which in itself signifies an act of nepotism.

If u can come online and shamelessly claim you're admitted via "VC" list or waiting for it...., then I weep for my country.

Saw something like Mathematics for biological sciences

We gonna be doing Mathematics?

No, we don't do.

the mathematics, math105, is for nursing, pharmacy, geology step 2 in 100l and for bot, mcb, zoo, et al in 200l.

Medicine doesn't do maths in oau.

Value what? Let me tell you a short story. The first son of a family friend sat for JAMB (UTME) in 2010 and scored 231, he sat for post JAMB and scored 63/100. At the end of the day he was not admitted, but someone I know that applied for the same discipline and scored lower was admitted because he was able to bribed his way. Thereafter this family friend of mine applied to one university in UK and was given admission without stress. Please let's agree that our system has failed, so that we can find solution.

I know a pal in Canada, he had 84 percentiles yet he wasn't admitted despite someone having 75 percentiles was admitted based on a letter of recommendation got from a faculty member of the school.

As it is in Nigeria, so it is in the West.

Your friend should have come to OAU. if he had met the cut off mark, he would have been admitted.

no you are getting it wrong ,bro we all know GOD'S WILL for us is of good and not of evil in the sense that YAHWEH wills for us to resume 24th April 2016 but it can also be not HIS WILL for us cause but what so ever it is HIS WILL is the Best for us so we should trust HIM with the whole of our hearts and relax. In conclusion let's pray to HIM and have an faith in HIM and trust fully in HIM and relax plsssss that's all am trying to say for our own good. It is well in JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN ! we shall resume 24th April 2016 in JESUS NAME AMEN! and we shall start registration on the 17th of April 2016 in JESUS MIGHTY AWESOME MARVELOUS NAME AMEN!!!

I'll be glad if you can tell me, by the spirit, when it's really God's will for us to resume. At least God's will can't be bent by human.

Coz, a lot of Christians mix "FATE" with "God's will".

Albeit, I appreciate the fact that you're trying to calm us down in that que sera sera.

I'm a Christian too, but I don't believe it's God's will for me to waste almost one year of my life. He wouldn't have made me got admission last year then.

But then, I agree with you, there's just little we can do.

oga, forget that rubbish "it's God will to resume anytime he wishes" o. Your mates are resuming second semester already, you're saying God's will.

Really, religion is the opium of the masses. No wonder Nigerians are complacent with a low-standard of living coz they believe it's God's will for them.

The protest should continue this time with civil servants(both state and federal) inclusive. Let no one be coarsed into it but be carried along. Igwe bu ike umuigbo. Shutting down a region and other friendly states will be a major headline across the media world and will achieve more. Of course the barbaric Nigerian Army will be out to do their usual acts of terrorism which we should try to control by having international media anchors covering the protests. We should also have powerful cameras that can zoom into far distances so that we can cover the faces of the soldiers that would involved in any shooting. Buying such expensive cameras should be nothing compared to our struggle. Let's also have big placards with non provocative but well worded message to tell our story to the world. Igbo, o bu anyi ji onwe anyi. Na njedebe, nmeri g'abu nke anyi.

I don't consider myself a nigerian anymore sir. Everywhere in the world people have the right to renounce citizenship if it becomes an albatross to their survival, even Americans do it to protect their off shore investments from taxation.

I prefer to remain stateless until the sun rises.

tnx sir
i jst wanna ask if it possible

cn u shed more lyt on med rehab as a course. tnx in advance

you can get more info by typing that on Google than I could type here.

I hope you understand me. But to give a picture, it involves using physical methods (heat, light, massage, muscle exercise, percussion) in maximising muscular physiological functioning. E.g, a doctor can stop the progress of stroke in a patient, however a physiotherapists bring such patient to a relative optimal functioning of the muscles again. There's also a sub-degree of occupational therapy.

The pay is on the same scale as pharmacists.

on a lighter note, u fit work in arsenal FC. lol

Nairaland is a secular forum and therefore supports no religious ideology. Some members of this forum are Christians; others belong to one religious group or not. I, for instance, is an atheist so when you see posts that don't support your faith, learn to ignore them or otherwise pray for the spirit of salvation to descend from heaven. You could win some souls for Christ doing just that!

Tolerance is is respecting other people's believe. And it seems you don't understand what "secularism" mean before u used it. If this forum is bent on Micki Christianity on its front pages, then it ain't secular anymore.

I've found out that Atheists are the most intolerant peeps o'er here. Something I put down to 'insecurity'
