NgeneUkwenu: Sun Newspapers, Daily Telegraph, Daily Independent, Tribune and Vanguard are a set of moronic IPOB)PDP propaganda vehicles....
Pay them No Heed....They are Bittered that people that matter have ignored the blatant lies they planted about an invisible infighting in the presidency, hence their attempt to hang on to the lies as possible, to see if any crack would emerge...
Useless Tabloid!
Is Sun newspaper no longer owned by Kalu, who was pardoned of his EFCC case and made a senator of the Alliance of Past/Present Crooks, APC? Did you mix things up this morning
Nuzo1: I appreciate your valuable insight. I also appreciate your kind gesture for a hangout. I really do.
But please permit to clarify my earlier opinion. GEJ's government was very corrupt but because he had intelligent crooks working with him, they were very smart to improvise and quickly reposition things before things get very bad. But underneath, the entire system was massively deteriorating. A collapse was imminent.
Buhari has no plans/focus and no remedy should any little plan he made go bad. So, he will rather not make any plan at all.
For me, it's hard to choose one over the other. Corruption has never built any known society on this earth. It has the potential to collapse even a prosperous society overnight.
On the other side; No policy at all can also stagnate a society and gradually collapse it like we are experiencing now.
The only edge I feel GEJ has over Buhari is that unlike GEJ, Buhari does not truly believe in a true Nigerian project. He is only interested in two things: His health/comfort and settling any willing foreign Fulani comfortably in Nigeria.
I salute you bro.
You have believed too many lies and propaganda of the Alliance of Past/Present Crooks, APC. The system was not about to collapse and the corruption under Jonathan was not worse than in other regimes/administration except you know better than Transparency International on measuring the trend. Do you Most prosperous societies have corruption, which well defined is abuse of power/office/authority for private/personal gain. Trump is exhibiting a lot of that in the US currently. Read more about the matter. Jonathan's administration worked the economy to make money and LESSENED corruption, with money flowing around to people in the south who would normally not have seen federal money. Buhari does not know how to work the economy to prosper and he has said himself that he does not know how to make money. However he knows how to steal money and protect others who loot, as long as they remain loyal to him.
eyeview: In what appears a brazen mockery of President Muhammadu Buhari’s war on corruption to date, a former governor accused of absconding amidst his ongoing fraud trial has been seen attending a rally of Nigeria’s ruling party.
Orji Kalu joined other politicians of the All Progressives Congress in Umuahia to stomp for the party’s candidates ahead of the general elections next month.
The appearance comes amidst pronouncements by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that the former governor was wanted after departing Nigeria for Germany on purported health grounds in November 2018.
The N7.7 billion trial had remained stalled ever since, although the court fixed further hearing for later this month.
Mr Kalu left office as governor of Abia State in Nigeria’s South-east in May 2007, and has faced allegations he squandered state resources during his reign.
After several judicial manoeuvres which critics said were designed to frustrate his prosecution, the EFCC ultimately reactivated Mr Kalu’s case last year, filling amended graft charges of up to N7.7 billion against him.
At the resumed hearing at the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court on November 5, 2018, the EFCC expressed shock that Mr Kalu had departed the country despite seizing his travel documents.
The former governor’s lawyers said he travelled to recuperate in Germany following a surgical operation.
The judge scolded Mr Kalu for departing the country without due notice to the court, and gave him seven days to return to the country for his trial.
Although the matter was subsequently adjourned till November 12, 2018, Mr Kalu failed to show up. He has been reportedly sighted at different parts of the country by those who know him.
Last week, the Buhari campaign announced Mr Kalu as a key member of the president’s reelection committee.
The announcement drew nationwide outrage, even though the politician was not sighted in public.
But at the rally in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, today, Mr Kalu was shown on NTA wearing white clothes with an APC campaign lapel Friday afternoon.
It was not immediately clear why Mr Kalu seamlessly roamed about in the country without being apprehended by law enforcement authorities.
A spokesperson for the EFCC told PREMIUM TIMES the agency was not aware that Mr Kalu was in the country, much less attending a public event.
A spokesperson for Mr Kalu did not return requests for comments Friday evening.
A Trend
The seemingly sloppy manner with which Mr Kalu’s corruption case is being handled suggest that the Buhari administration has not been as enthusiastic in going after corruption suspects in his own political party as he had been with opposition, said political analyst, Sola Olubanjo.
“We have seen cases and cases where the Buhari government turns a blind eye to its allies who have been formally accused of corruption,” Mr Olubanjo said. “But we may say the soft-landing they have given Orji Kalu is the most brazen since 2015.”
Mr Kalu was a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party since 1999. He joined the APC in November 2016, and critics immediately added him to a growing list of opposition politicians moving to the new ruling party to dodge trial for fraud.

efighter: Pls help ask GEJ what he thinks about Deizani Madueke's $40 million jewelries seized by EFCC and 3 billion Naira jewelries stolen from imPatience Jonathan by some unscrupulous elements in the society. Were Diezani and imPatience forefathers part of those that donated jewelries used by Israelites to carve their fake god in the wilderness?
You don't know what you are saying or you have not recovered from the propaganda and lies of the Alliance of Past/Present Crooks, APC.
dre11: The Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs . Winifred Oyo -Ita , has said President Muhammadu Buhari is aware of the reinstatement of a former Chairman of the Pension Reforms Commission , Mallam Abdulrasheed Maina, into the civil service. She however said she warned the President against it .
Oyo - Ita said that her warning was based on the implications such reinstatement would have on the anti - corruption war of the Federal Government .
The HoS stated this in her memo to the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr. Abba Kyari . The memo , with reference number HSCSF/ HCSF/ LU/ COR/FCSC/ 750 / T, was dated October 23, 2017 .
The memo , titled , “ Re : Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina, ” was received in the office of the Chief of Staff to the President on October 23.
A copy of the memo was sighted by our correspondent in Abuja on Monday .
The President had directed the HoS to investigate the circumstances that surrounded the return of Maina to the civil service.
He gave the directive following the public outcry that trailed Maina’ s reinstatement.
Maina, whose whereabouts is still unknown , has been accused of embezzling pensioners ’ funds running into billions of naira and is currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Explaining further , the HoS said she met the President after the Federal Executive Council meeting of Wednesday, October 11 , where she verbally warned Buhari against bringing Maina back to the service.

platinum131: All those blaming Sowore and claiming he supported Buhari are really not serious...Does it mean someone is not free to support someone and when they discover the truth allowed to change their mind? If we continue this way...Nigeria will never change...Its quite unfortunate that this government have turned this way....#freeSowore!
You don't know what you are saying. Nigeria changed already. In 2015. And we have moved beyond that change. We are now in the next level. Enjoy.
Abdulhakeem7: Can you point to one thing that Sowore reported about GEJ that was untrue?
Read below for your free education and feel free to respond if you any rebuttal element. Thank me later.
odinceblog: Reno Omokri Blames Sowore for for campaigning for Buhari in 2015, says without Sowore, Buhari won’t be president.
READ HIS TWEETS:
If you say Omoyele Sowore is a liar, I will agree. He tells deliberate lies to destroy the reputation of those he‘s against, using his Sahara Reporters website. He did it to me personally and my boss. But neither Jonathan, nor I ever contemplated his arrest.
I sympathise with Sowore, but I cant help but feel that his travails are self inflicted. I know his nature. He will come out of jail, read this, and use saharareporters to savage my reputation. But even at that, he created the Buhari Frankenstein monster
What is happening between Sowore and General Buhari is just a bromance gone sour. Sowore is not some innocent activist that General Buhari is persecuting. He was an ally of l Buhari, who sold him to Nigeria. We must not rewrite history or will repeat it
Using saharareporters, Sowore dishonestly DEMARKETED then President Jonathan as a “DRUNKARD”, a “SLOW POKE”, “CLUELESS” and MARKETED Buhari as an “INCORRUPTIBLE”, a man who would “CRUSH” Jonathan, and was “BETTER” than Jonathan and “GOOD” for Nigeria
In 2014, when Jonathan said “I am the most INSULTED president in the world but when I leave office, you will all remember me for the total freedom you enjoyed”, he was referring to Sowore and saharareporters. Nigerians mistook his TOLERANCE for WEAKNESS

Today, General Buhari is trying Sowore, his former partner in propaganda, for insulting him. If insulting a President is a crime, both Buhari & Sowore are guilty due to what they did to ex President Jonathan. But it is NOT a crime. Sowore should be freed!
Sowore is not the victim here. The victim, who refused to be a victim, is former President Jonathan, who Sowore accused of thievery, yet all his children schooled in Nigeria while he was President. 5 years after leaving office, no one has found GEJ wanting
It is possible that people around Jonathan made money, just as people around General Buhari are making money. But, Jonathan was NOT the THIEF, DRUNKARD or WEAKLING Sowore painted him to be. He is God fearing. To fear God is weakness to men like Sowore
Then President Jonathan is MEEK. MEEKNESS is not WEAKNESS. MEEKNESS means you have POWER, but you RESTRAIN yourself from ABUSING it because you want to BUILD, not DESTROY. Moses was MEEK. Nigerians dont deserve a MEEK leader. We deserve a General Buhari!
On 4 occasions, Sowore visited Nigeria while Jonathan was President. We knew his whereabouts. He met then CBN Governor, Lamido Sanusi, and was in contact with Buhari and Elrufai. But Jonathan NEVER ARRESTED him because he believed in PRESS FREEDOM
Sowore marketed Jonathan as corrupt and weak. GEJ would never make a man indicted by the army for theft, as reported by PremiumTimesng, a minister. GEJ deported South Africans in retaliation when SA deported Nigerians. It is Buhari who is WEAK & CORRUPT.
The problem with the average Nigerian, is that we CRY over CONSEQUENCES, and LAUGH over ACTIONS, not realising that CONSEQUENCE follows ACTIONS as DAY follows NIGHT. Sowore and Saharareporters are the ACTION. Buhari is the CONSEQUENCE. We are the AUDIENCE!
I look at those shedding tears for Sowore and I remember when Jonathan’s son was crying after his classmates laughed at him because they read on saharareporters that his father is a drunkard. Even children believed what they read on saharareporters!
Without Sowore, General Buhari wont be President. It‘s an indisputable FACT. He and Saharareporters poisoned the mind of Nigerians against then President Jonathan. As Christ said “offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!”-Luke 17:1
It is a different matter if Sowore and saharareporters used the TRUTH to turn Nigerians against then President Jonathan, but they used LIES. Deliberate and malignant LIES. You cannot DESTROY another man and expect Providence to BUILD you up! ko le work!
What Gen Buhari has done to Sowore is a common Northern tactic. I lived in the North. I know. Abacha used it on Abiola. He used Abiola to destroy Shonekan. After Abiola destroyed Shonekan’s government, he was of no use to Abacha, so Abacha threw him in jail
General Buhari and Elrufai know what they used Sowore to achieve in destroying Jonathan. They are not fools. These guys are more political sophisticated than even Sowore/Tinubu know. It is brinksmanship. They wont sit and watch them do the same to Buhari
All of you were FOOLED when General Buhari rubbed mentholatum on his handkerchief and used it to induce crocodile tears. Shebi you are now seeing the genuine Buhari now? Who is crying now? Buhari or you? When we told you did you listen? Enjoy your Buhari!
Gen Buhari used Sowore & saharareporters against Jonathan and he will NEVER let them be used against him. Sowore should have known that the first person a feudal king kills is the kingmaker that got him the throne. So he cant remove him from the same throne
What an irony! Sowore used saharareporters to remove then President Jonathan from office, but today, he cant use the same saharareporters to remove himself from jail. Don’t dig your enemy’s hole too deep so that when you fall into it, you can also escape.
SEE REPLIES:
Sir Reno you said it all cuz to some point I was beginning to hate GEJ for no reason, even when I don’t know anything about politics, I cheer Buhari like the man that will make Nigeria great not knowing I was making a great mistake..I voted this clueless govt in 2015 & I feel bad
tete7000: Oby and others, including that greedy Tinubu should watch their back. The man is still coming for mny. He will do alll possible to perpetuate himself in power, that is his ultimate goal. A man who poses Abacha as a model of morality will not be different from. Abacha in thoughts and deeds.. Little wonder five years on, he refused to change army chiefs who have long attained statutory r tirement age. Who does that in a democracy? We live in another era of a despotic ruler...
I think that Oby is the next weakest link, among his 2015 supporters turned opponents in 2019, to join Sowore in prison. Should we pity her and the others
tete7000: You all brought Buhari on us. We enjoy the tyranny together...
Unfortunately for them, barawo bubu is deaf, dumb and blind now that he has consolidated power. Let them blow all their grammar. It won't move him at all. Should we pity the hailers who are turning wailers
Another failed scam like the Air Nigeria logo scam
The only legacy of the Alliance of Past/Present Crooks, APC is scam, fraud, stealing, looting and corruption everywhere. Their wuruwuru change has turned the biggest economy in the continent to the extreme poverty capital of the world in four years.
Any person who gives less fvcks about what his oppositions say is fit to be called a true leader.
Too much garri or too much water? Which one is the problem? Talk and do since 2015 still on the same promise, will do, shall be? Future impossible tense of baba promise & fail. He made himself minister of petroleum but failed woefully as usual. Only God knows how many villions or trillions were claimed for the fake overhaul of 2017.
Fuel Crisis: Over two years of Buhari govt, Nigerian refineries still in terrible shape December 29, 2017
On assuming power in May 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari pledged to revive Nigeria’s minimally performing refineries to optimum capacity, in what appeared a recap of same promise as contained in the manifestoes of the then opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, during the 2015 electioneering period.
In September 2015, the NNPC in its report said Nigeria’s refineries worked at a combined capacity utilisation of a measly 1.96 per cent.
The report stated further that the combined value of output by the refineries amounted to N9.9 billion for crude processed in September 2016, adding that the associated crude plus freight cost stood at N6.3 billion.
This, the report said, represented a loss of N8.8 billion after an overhead cost of N12.4 billion.
In December 2016, the NNPC promised that the three refineries will work at “full blast” by 2017.
Ndu Ughamadu, the corporation’s spokesperson, said in a statement that NNPC would embark on a comprehensive rehabilitation of the refineries to achieve optimal capacity utilisation.
“The plan for next year (2017) is to get the comprehensive rehabilitation programme done,” Mr. Nghamadu quoted Anibor Kragha, NNPC’S Chief Operating Officer, Refineries, as saying. Mr. Kragha added that the corporation would also draw up a chart for routine Turn Around Maintenance, TAM, of the refineries.
seborrhic: This is so childish. To say I am disappointed will be an understatement. I am honestly embarrassed on your behalf for what you typed above. People mentioned irrelevant topics gracing fp,gave you examples which you also embarrassingly asked for, implying you don't even visit a site you created. There was also examples cited of blogs using Nland as a dumping ground for all sorts of stories reserved for when people are drunk on N20 shekpe. To compound issues these blog stories are littered with the kind of grammar some kindergarten pupils would feel ashamed to be heard speaking or typing. What happened to promoting original content on nairaland to make it a go-to source for information by other media?Heck, there were times when mainstream media like Punch and blogs like Lindaikeji sourced news stories and opinions from here, but your lackadaisical attitude and freedom given to more or less some glorified poorly schooled secondary school graduates in name of moderators may have curtailed that. What also happened to upgrading the appearance of the forum itself or you think upgrade is an exotic term reserved for foreign sites alone? This your reply clearly summarises that you and the moderators are on the same wavelength of allowing"anything goes"on nairaland. It's a shame.
Well said. Very well said except for the upgrading the appearance part. Google has remained about the same in appearance since like forever.
