PMBmustGo2019: Nigeria: Virgin Atlantic May Have Pulled Out of Nigeria, Sacks Nigerian Staff
Quote: "We fought daily battle against government agents who wanted to daily make fortune from us, politicians who saw the government 49 per cent as a meal to seek for all kinds of favour... watchdogs (regulatory body) that didn't know what to do and persistently asking for bribes at any point... Nigerian people are generally nice but the politicians are very insane... that may be irony because the people make up the politicians." http://allafrica.com/stories/201511090151.html

You sef, why are you bringing Iara's husband inside this matter now? Stop tempting me oh. The fake comrade Go & Die looted Edo state like crazy.
sunmike065: because when other states were busy chasing investors IGBO was chasing Biafra..
Chasing investors indeed. I bet you think that is what barawo bubu has been doing flying all over the world instead of sitting his ass down to work and fix our country. Jonathan systematically worked with technocrats to make our country the biggest economy in Africa. Barawo bubu and his 40 thieves cabal presidency of the All Poverty Congress, APC wrecked it in six months.
Daboomb: When will Yoots of this country learn to focus on the more important things (like how will your Reps serve your interest in areas of good infrastrucures like Roads, Eduaction, hospital, housing, Jobs, e.t.c), instead of all these infantile "party rants" that you guys have turned to food?
Saraki's daughter is still doing over One Month of Wedding all over the world, Saraki himself is busy buying Bullet-Proof SUV's without paying import duty on them all over the place..... while you are here piting yourself into PDP Vs. APC!

Freegift75: Code Of Conduct Tribunal Freed Bola Tinubu In Error – Rotimi Jacobs . . . Rotimi Jacobs, a senior advocate of Nigeria and the Federal Government prosecuting counsel in the 13 count charge of false assets declaration trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki on Thursday said the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) was misled to discharge former Governor of Lagos State Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he was arraigned before it in November 2011.
ashjay001: Even d US, dont have it perfect, talk more of our very own nigeria! U'll just need to realise, it could av been worse! Can u envision, d past admin, giving bailout to states? By d time dey were evicted, dey'd already ran out of ideas! If Jona had saved in d time of plenty, pmb would av been a footnote in history!
Stop recycling fake propaganda and lies. Does you no good. If Jonathan did not save despite FALLING oil prices, where did barawo bubu find bail out money for governors immediately he became president? Cheers.
BetaThings: Yes, Jonathan, Atiku's dream president, was borrowing to pay salaries
Stop twisting things. It only shows how shallow minded you are. Atiku was not the vice president to Jonathan, so how can he be his dream president? Oil prices dropped from 2013 hence the borrowings in 2015 to fund the budget. Oil prices have risen since then plus:
- loot recovery - Paris Club refund - subsidy removal - TSA savings - bank stamp duty
yet the All Poverty Congress, APC barawo bubu and his governors are unable to pay salaries even with loans. Because they are looting like crazy You should be ashamed to be associated with such rogues.
Firefire: ‘A budget that moves domestic spending in Aso Villa from N580m to N1.7bn cannot be a budget of change’
Abuja – Sen. Eyinnaya Abaribe (PDP Abia South) on Wednesday in Abuja, berated the 2016 budget and called on President Muhammaduu Buhari to withdraw it and go back to the drawing board.
Abaribe while making contributions during the consideration of the budget, said the proposal was faulty on many grounds and could not be implemented at it was.
He said that predication of oil benchmark at 38 dollars per barrel when the crude oil price had fallen below 30 dollars per barrel made the budget unrealistic.
Abaribe faulted the government for increasing spending by 30 per cent based on borrowing.
“Mr President, my colleagues, this budget is indeed unique. After the budget presentation, the finance minister has never come to explain the details of the budget as it is normally done.
“It is a budget of change I agree, but it is a change in the wrong direction. I say it is a change in the wrong direction because it says that it is based on zero budgeting requiring all expenses to be fully justified.
“Mr President, a budget that increases spending up to 30 per cent based solely on borrowing, in what way are we justified? That is the question we want to ask the people who brought this budget.
“We know what is going on in the global economy: this budget is predicated on an oil benchmark of 38 dollars per barrel and I can now say that with oil being 28 dollars today, this budget is dead on arrival.
“The job of the opposition is to help the government to get its priorities right, so I want to please urge this government to withdraw this budget and go back to the drawing board,” he said.
The senator also faulted the adjustments made in the budget as well as allocation for spending in the Aso Rock Villa, saying that it was too exorbitant.
He said that the adjustments rather than reduce spending in areas where they were not necessary only spread it into different offices. “Mr President, a budget that moves domestic spending within Aso Villa from N580 million to N1.7 billion cannot be a budget of change.
“We were told that in the revised budget there was an adjustment due to error, we agree but what has happened is that up to N7 billion were moved from buying vehicles and spread to offices.
“It also increased the spending that is due to renovations within the Villa.
“They are going to renovate the Villa with N3.9 billion: what else do you want to renovate there that Nigerians will see in the Year 2016?” he asked.
However, in his contribution, Sen. Ahmed Lawan (APC Yobe North) blamed the previous administration for the lack of funds due to the embezzlement witnessed in previous governments.
He said that this was the 17th budget he would be debating as a legislator and noted that not more than 40 per cent implementation was achieved in the last 16 years.
“The proposal before us is the first budget where the executive has deemed it necessary to give ordinary Nigerians genuine hope.
“N500 billion allocated for school feeding and social SAFTEY NET is commendable.
“It is time to say oil should not continue to play dominant role as we have suffered economically and politically: it is time to diversify this economy.
“The direction of the executive is the way to go. `That is, we should make every effort to have the real sector-agric mining and manufacturing.
“The budget deserves the support of everyone, including my colleagues on the other side. When we were in the opposition we supported the PDP, they should support us,” he said.
I doubt. Lies don't affect the price of garri nor that of bread. It never has in the past. It doesn't in the present. Propaganda and lies are aimed to affect All Poverty Congress, APC zombies. May we not be part of them. Amen.
SalamRushdie: Hahahahaha..confusion don hit zombie
Abeg make we enjoy some underground gbedus from the Abami Eda himself o jare. We no send the All Poverty Congress, APC zombies of BMC Double wahala for their deadi body and the owner of their deadi body oh.
GavelSlam: Are you so bereft of common sense to know that a project that a project never even kicked off after years of budgeting was simply a conduit for PDP to loot as usual? It never kicked off therefore never existed.
Moving the goal post? You said that it was AWARDED by the present administration. You have been shown by two people that it was awarded by Yar'Adua. So, who is bereft of common sense here Continue to open your nyansh for public disgrace. I say, continue.

agbangam: So $26 billion is missing Abeg wen we make dat kind money cos d last time i checked d price of oil was below $28 for roughly 6months. Stop lying man and it is dat same mouth u will use to pray to God, na wa for u oo.
Do I resemble Kachilwu or Baru or even sef Sanusi
Since I was born, I have never witness the kind of hypocrisy, double standard and demonisation that is currently perpetrated by Muhammadu Buhari, the APC, Alhaji Sanusi, Osinbajo and their "good governance crusaders" against the person of President Goodluck Jonathan, Allison Madekwe, and other government officials.
Alhajis Buhari and Sanusi and APC have been going about using every platform to talk about a "missing $20b", cheered by their hypocritical followers that pride themselves as good governance crusaders. They have deliberately gone blind over the fraud of CBN under Sanusi as outlined by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria report in February 2014.
Sanusi Indicted And Removed For Fraud According to the report (see below) Sanusi was indicted for Gross Misconduct that bothers on fraud and financial recklessness among other offence. The FRCN subsequently advised Mr President to remove Lamido Sanusi from office for further investigation and probe after the explanation of Sanusi appeared more like a tale and outrightly illogical according to FRCN. The council indicates that the explanation provided by Sanusi is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”
The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”
April 2014: VP-elect Yemi Osibanjo Filed Case To Stop Sanusi Probe Rather than Sanusi to prove his innocence in court, he filed a case in Federal High Court, Lagos to STOP FRCN and Other Security Agencies from investigating and prosecuting him through three Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Dr. Kanyinsola Ajayi and Kola Awodien. http://www.theguardianmobile.com/readNewsItem1.php?nid=24587
13 May 2014: Lagos Judge Tshoho Grants Sanusi Prayers High Court Judge John Tshoho rather than uphold the constitutional powers of FRCN to investigate probe Sanusi, he granted the prayers of Lamido Sanusi and BARRED FRCN from further investigation or probing Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. In his own words... “Prejudice is very pronounced in the language of that document. The language of the briefing note (transmitted by the FRCN to the presidency) conveys a sense of the defendant desperately goading the presidency to deal with the plaintiff,” “The plaintiff submitting himself for investigation (by FRCN) is like the cockroach finding itself in the midst of fowls. Such a cockroach cannot be innocent,”. http://www.tv360nigeria.com/?p=11923
Despite the fact the President Jonathan commissioned PWC to audit NNPC books to ascertain the veracity or otherwise of Sanusi's claim, Buhari, APC, Sanusi and their online agents that parade themselves as good governance and anticorruption apostles have been crying blue murder but refused to comment on the FRCN report nor the APC's VP elect role in shielding Sanusi for probe.
April 26, 2015: Buhari's Display of Hypocrisy In his usual hypocrisy, General Buahri vowed to re-visit the $20b allegation but said NOTHING about the FRCN report. In his own word... “Imagine a situation where the former CBN governor who by God ‘s grace would later become the Emir of Kano raised an issue of missing billions of money, not in Naira but in Dollars, $20 billion. “What happened, instead of investigating to know whether it was true that the money was missing or not, they simply found a reason to remove him. So these are the issues we are talking about…" Contrary to the lies of Alhaji Buhari, Sanusi wasn't removed because he raised alarm, he was removed because he was indicted by FRCN. Jonathan also never kept mute, he commissioned PWC to audit the books. Buhari was also blind to talk about prosecuting Sanusi for the CBN fraud. Perhaps the Emir is as "incorruptible" as him(Buhari)
The decision to suspend the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido was based on a report of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria dated June 7, 2013.
The report was made after a review of Sanusi’s response to the query issued to him by the President over the apex bank’s financial statement of 2012. His response was dated May 20, 2013.
According to a copy of the report obtained by our correspondent on Thursday, the council indicates that the explanation provided by the suspended CBN governor is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”
The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”
The report read: The particulars of the infractions against Sanusi are:
Persistent refusal and/or negligence to comply with the Public Procurement Act in the procurement practices of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
(A) By virtue of Section 15 (1)(a) of the Public Procurement Act, the provisions of the Act are expected to comply to ‘all procurement of goods, works and services carried out by the Federal Government of Nigeria and all procurement entities.’ This definition clearly includes the Central Bank of Nigeria.
(B) It is however regrettable that the Central Bank of Nigeria, under his leadership, has refused and/or neglected to comply with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act (PPA). You will recall that one of the primary reasons for the enactment of the PPA was the need to promote transparency, competitiveness, cost of effectiveness and professionalism in the public sector procurement system.
deomelllo: [s][/s]What I asked for was documented news articles or even government documents that says GEJ awards so-so and so contract for power plants and not the source-less nonsense you crooks fool people with. You also need to show us the list of the so called former PDP officials in charge of electricity and the power funds now members of the APC.
Obasanjo endorses APC moves, as party leadership visit Abeokuta 22.Dec 2013
The push by the opposition, All Progressives Congress, APC to dislodge the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP received a boost yesterday as former President Olusegun Obasanjo openly threw his weight behind the APC’s current initiatives. The APC leadership, comprising some national leaders and governors visited him Obasanjo in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Saturday to solicit the former president’s support for the party in the forthcoming elections. The party leaders, which started converging on Obasanjo’s Hilltop Mansion around 5:22pm, included former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party’s Interim National Chairman, Bisi Akande; former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari; former speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Masari; former Borno State governor, Senator Ali Modu-Sheriff; Senator Osita Isunazor; Senator Bukola Saraki and Lai Mohammed. Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State came to the former president’s house in company with the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissioin, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; the former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode and others in a convoy of three black jeeps. Other APC governors at the meeting included Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Abdulfattah Ahmed (Kwara), Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers), Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano) and Senator Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo). The Chairman of the New PDP, Kawu Baraje led some of his members and the former Kaduna State Chairman, Yero Makama, to the meeting. Presenting the party chieftains and the APC governors to Obasanjo during the opening of the meeting, Akande said the party was in support of the former president’s 18-page letter to President Goodluck Jonathan. The APC National Leader, Tinubu who alluded to Obasanjo’s contribution to the building of the Nigerian nation, lamented that the country was divided more than ever. Apparently referring to Obasanjo’s recent letter to Jonathan, he enjoined the former president not to shy away from speaking the truth. Tinubu added that the APC had resolved to rescue Nigeria, appealing to Obasanjo to lead the mission. “You’ve come out of tribulation and held the highest position in this country. We are here because of your courage. Nobody can say he has information more than you. You have surmounted a number of crises. Nigeria is divided more than before; to realise stable Nigeria, we want to encourage you to continue to speak the truth. We’re resolved and determined to rescue Nigeria. We want you as navigator,” he said.
GavelSlam: Stop lying. Kashimbilla was awarded by the present government.
So who is telling lies now
deomelllo: Construction started back in 2008 with 2015 completion date, but obviously, they looted the funds and nothing was done or commissioned by 2015.
Obviously means that you don't know but you are only speculating, right
bkool7: what did he actually just say? Just thank ur stars we've qualified already . Cos I am still finding it hard to believe a Federation like NFF could be só negligent.
Is our barawo bubu presidiot not negligent Otherwise why is he abandoning us in

texazzpete: Good thing the Gospel in the New Testament tells us that giving to the poor is the same as giving to God. If you truly worshipped Jesus, you’d know this. Don’t take offense when people tell you to stop worshipping false gods and focus on Christianity instead of pastor-deities.
Abi oh. Many who claim to be Christians don't read, study to meditate on their Bible.
Matthew 25:31-46 King James Version (KJV)
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

What Fela calls Confusion Break Bone, CBB. The kind of stress that comes with defending the indefensible, corrupt barawo in Aso Rock with his 40 thieves cabal ehn! Not easy earning their 30k peanuts from BMC.
The co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG, group, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s letter to the Senate on why he cannot sack and prosecute indicted Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal.
Recall that Babachir had been alleged to have diverted money meant to fight humanitarian crisis in the North East, and the senate had called for his arrest and prosecution.
But Buhari, on Monday had explained why he cannot honour the senate’s report calling for Lawal’s arrest, prosecution and sack.
In her reaction, Yesufu called out the President, saying the reason for his defense was because he was corrupt.
In a series of tweets on her Twitter handle@AishaYesufu , she called on Buhari to resign.
She tweeted: “Does the President need the senate to even sack d SGF? You must not only talk tough. You must act it.
“It’s surprisingly amazing. President Buhari that was using sachet of milk and beverage now carrying teapot in London. Wahala dey.
“I will rather die imprisoned for saying the truth than become Defender of the Corrupt like President Buhari.
“Democracy is not fraud. The win for me was that we changed a sitting government and we would again Insha Alla.
“If Pres Buhari @MBuhari has any shred of honour, character & integrity he should RESIGN. Enough of the damage that might last a generation.
“If President Buhari can clear someone that stole 200m from vulnerable IDPs in this type of recession, then imagine what he would have done in abundance.
“Either Babachir looted on behalf of Buhari or President Buhari has looted more and Babachir has evidence or PMB is going senile.
“In Nigeria when one is poor one is faceless, nameless and voiceless. President Buhari whom the poor supported massively just reaffirmed it.
“Rich Nigerians must get fair hearing. The rest can be lynched for whatever reason on the streets. Whatever you do, don’t be poor in Nigeria.
“In Nigeria it seems stealing is not crime. It’s stealing small amount or stealing while you are poor or with no connection that’s the crime.
“Rich Nigerians must get fair hearing. The rest can be lynched for whatever reason on the streets. Whatever you do, don’t be poor in Nigeria.
“And I would give up on it if you actually stood up for him.”
onatisi: very very good time for nigerians to start showing their grievances rather than keeping quiet he was even walking majestically towards them , thinking they wont attack him
Show our grievances against the right people- the pen robbers and barawos in our midst instead of praising them while stoning the petty thieves.
Shuku0kukobambi: OBJ started the NIPP program. Yaradua continued it, GEJ took them over and Buhari is also continuing them as it should be. The final conclusion is that we want light and we should encourage the govt of the day to continue the projects even if it's an Atikulating one
True to some extent as confirmed by Femi Adesina.
nawtyme: Previous Govts Initiated ‘Most Of The Things This Administration Is Doing’ – Adesina
A majority of the projects the Muhammadu Buhari administration is working on was inherited from previous administrations, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity has said.
Mr Femi Adesina said this when he appeared on Channels Television’s special Independence anniversary programme on Sunday.
“Most of the things this administration is doing – 60 to 70 percent of them – were initiated by previous governments,” he said.
“That shows you that in the past a government will come and say ‘this is not our project’ And it will discard what was being done and start fresh ones.”
As a result, Mr Adesina said there are many half and quarter-completed abandoned projects. But rather than abandon the project, he explained that the current administration will complete it.
An example is the Abuja-Kaduna rail project which the Presidential aide said was up to maybe 60 to 70 percent complete when the last administration left.
“This administration came, completed it and inaugurated it. Then you will still find some people shouting, ‘they are claiming credit for what the past administration started,” he said.
“It shows there is a mentality in Nigeria that makes governments not want to complete what previous governments have started. But this administration is not going that way at all, it is just doing what needs to be done for the good of the country.”
Another example is the Mambilla power project, which has been in the works since 1972, but has now started taking shape under this administration.
In going about its activities, Mr Adesina said the Federal Government follows due process in the awarding of contracts, stressing that projects worth above N50m will require the permission of the Federal Executive Council before such a contract can be awarded.
“One thing this government does scrupulously is to follow due process in the award of all these contracts and projects.
“Anything that is above N50m must come to the Federal Executive Council. Before the FEC will endorse any project or contract, the Bureau of Public Procurement must have signed off on that project that it is worthy to be done and the projections are good, that this government does not joke about.”
This is surely better than what Buhari did when he was military dictator in the 80s.
Splashme: The first civilian governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, on Tuesday, said that the cancellation of the Lagos metroline project in 1985 was a major mistake and disservice to many Nigerians.
Jakande spoke in Lagos during the launch of a book which chronicled his life in politics and journalism.
The book, entitled, ‘Jakande: Leadership in Action’ is written by Dr. Bola Olaosebikan, who told the audience at the event that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), was not responsible for the cancellation of the project.
Jakande said, “Reflecting on the metroline project, I think it is a major disservice to many Nigerians. Imagine how many people would have benefitted. It would have made life easier and changed the face of transport in Lagos. Whoever cancelled it or gave the advice towards its cancellation didn’t do right.”
The former governor asked Nigerians not to vote for unserious leaders in the coming polls, saying the elections presented Nigerians with a good opportunity that should not be squandered.
Expressing the hope that Nigeria would soon overcome its developmental challenges, Jakande said hope would be actualised faster if credible people emerged as leaders in the next dispensation.
He said, “This book comes at a very auspicious time in Nigeria’s history as we need leaders who can act. We need leaders who would not compromise the standards of good governance. God has blessed this nation the most in Africa, although we have not reached where we should be; with the right leaders, Nigeria would overcome its challenges.”
SalamRushdie: If you are smart you woul have seen that most of the people who looted 20 billion power funds are now in the APC
Starting with the All Poverty Congress, APC solicited navigator, Ebola Owu who stole $16 billion. No wonder some call APC the Association of Pdp Crooks.
Some $2.2bn-worth of Nigerian energy contracts were awarded without a bidding process by the former president and his energy minister, officials say. One was to a company with less than $200 of base capital at the time, a witness told a parliamentary committee.
It is investigating why $16bn of investment in the energy sector during Olusegun Obasanjo's eight years in power failed to end power shortages.
