cyclops: visit all d country visit all the embassies none will will make impact on Nigerians yeye oldman
Siddon there dey call yeye old man. He has abandoned us to the recession, suffering and insecurity he brought upon us in the last three years. We are in trouble until 2019.
MrHistorian: The Nigerian embassy décor and embroidery does not reflect the lives of Nigerians.
Good observation, bro. You have sharp eyes and a critically empowered intelligence. The same way the dressing of the barawo bubu and the 40 thieves cabal presidency doese not reflect the recession we are suffering under the All Poverty Congress, APC federal administration.
Desyner: How many heads rolled when innocent corpers where slaughtered in 2011? If a muslim group is warning the public, the they must be warning the non-muslims.
We are still waiting for heads to roll for the deaths of the southern youth corpers and MURIC never said anything about them. Bloody hypocrites.
Paperwhite: So It's because of the corrupt, visionless and lopsided Magu that idiots are threatening the peace of Nigerians? See the effect of joblessness?
Very corrupt, just like his boss- barawo bubu who is the leader of the 40 thieves cabal of the All Poverty Congress, APC.
Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has rented a mansion in the elitist Maitama District of the Federal capital territory (FTC) Abuja, News Express can report this morning.
The storey building located at No. 8B, Rudolf Close, off Katsina Ala Crescent, in the highbrow Maitama District, was the abode of a former federal minister who died some time in May 2014.
An impeccable source said: “The property was rented to the Acting EFCC Chairman for N40,000,000 at N20,000,000 per annum.
“Furthermore, the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) curiously awarded a contract to Africa Energy, a company owned by Rtd Air Comm. Umar Muhammad, to furnish the residence at the cost N43,000,000, in a Government where the President is known to have frowned at and rebuked his ministers for requesting N20,000,000 each to secure accommodation and furnish them.
“It is shocking that the man spearheading the anti-corruption crusade of the government will be involved in such a venture. More surprising is the involvement of FCDA in renting a house for EFCC and under what arrangement.”
News Express made efforts to get the reaction of Magu and EFCC but the commission’s spokesmen Osita Nwajah and Wilson Uwujaren did not respond to text messages sent to them seeking their reaction to the story.
Is this CORRUPTION happening under the nose of our able retired General, only saviour, fighter of corruption, the DullardPoo of Daura? If the senators confirm him on the job what more will Magu do?
hisgrace090: This is what I call real change for good.
That is what celebrities do abroad to keep their society developed and good for everyone, unlike the yeyebrities whom we have here.
Kanye West Charity Work, Events and Causes
Multiple Grammy Award-winning producer/artist Kanye West has already established himself as one of the premier artists in the recording industry, but put away the microphone, bling and neon, and you’ll find a crusader against poverty, hunger and poor education.
In 2005, West and his late mother, Dr. Donda West, co-founded the Dr. Donda West Foundation with the goal of reducing the number of kids who drop out of school. The Foundation’s first initiative, Loop Dreams, challenged at-risk students to learn how to write and produce music while simultaneously improving their academic skills.
“During my high school years, it’s the music that I really felt saved me,” said West, “It kept me out of the streets, it kept me from getting into trouble, it gave me something to do when I got kicked off the basketball team. You just get lost in the music. That’s what I did.”
Through donations, concert proceeds, and his foundation, West has been a vocal and outspoken supporter of broader education issues, and of organizations such as Doctors Without Borders, Human Rights Watch and Oxfam America.
West contributed to a CD compilation benefiting victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Kanye created a lunchbox for an auction benefiting The Lunchbox Fund and the Food Bank For New York City.

Most people kicking against tithing don't even tithe. Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, Bill Winston, etc preaches tithing and own Private Jets. You guys should stop making it a Nigeria thing. For me i will tithe till eternity....let my pastor use it however he likes, it's not Freeze business.

Did he steal a mobile phone? Did he steal some other poor guy's wallet in the market? If none of the above or some other similar petty theft, no one is going to mob him. He will rather be honoured with chieftaincy titles and hailings by the youths whose electricity, good schools, jobs, hospitals etc that he has stolen.

How much is the pension of a former Army General in a country of N18,000 minimu wage yet he:
- sent all his children to school abroad - campaigned four times for presidency - went to Supreme Court each time with expensive SANs. - wife donates N35 million to IDPs while husband is pretending he is too poor to buy All Poverty Congress, APC nomination form.
oloripelebe2: Good, Awon Omoluabi Waiting for Fayose to force the likes of Adeyeye and Olujimi out of pdp in Ekiti
Alao Akala is omoluabi Since you are opening your 32, I guess that you are joking.
Toonice: A former governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, was on Tuesday arraigned at the State High Court, Ibadan, accused of misappropriation of state funds, concealment and fraud.
Alao-Akala, slammed with 11 counts by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, was arraigned before Justice Mashood Abass, with his former Commissioner for Local Government, who is currently representing Oyo North in the Senate, Senator Hosea Agboola; and Chairman, Pentagon Engineering Services, Mr. Olufemi Babalola.
The three pleaded “not guilty” to the charges preferred against them.
The ex-governor’s counsel, Mamman Osman (SAN), asked for bail following which the judge adjourned till Wednesday (today) for ruling on the bail application while Alao-Akala and the others were ordered to be remanded in the custody of the State Security Service.
However, the arraignment of an ex-governor of Ogun State, Otunba Ghenga Daniel, did not take place in Abeokuta as expected; ditto that of an ex-governor of Nasarawa State, Akwe Doma, who was billed to be arraigned in Abuja on Tuesday.
Alao-Akala, Daniel and Doma were all picked up by the EFCC last Thursday and detained in Abuja over allegations of misappropriating a total of N101bn public funds.
The anti-graft agency had said on Monday that the governors would go on trial beginning from Tuesday.
Aides and supporters of Daniel waited in vain for hours in the premises of the court on Abeokuta. There was no official clarification as at the time of going to press on why the arraignment of Daniel did not take place.
One of his counsel, Mr. Yemi Oke, however in a statement at the court announced that Daniel had commenced hunger strike to protest his non-arraignment.
“Because of the worsening condition under which he is being held and the curtailment of his fundamental rights, the former governor has declined food and medication, which has raised serious concern about his health,” Oke said.
He faulted the EFCC for allegedly flouting court processes seeking to enforce the fundamental human rights of the ex-governor.
He said Daniel’s continued detention without formal charges amounted to infringements on his fundamental human rights.
He said, “Under normal circumstances, Otunba Daniel should have been arraigned in court since he has spent more than the required period specified by law in detention. But at the time of issuing this statement, he has not been arraigned in court and no charge has been preferred against him. Yet he is being detained and his fundamental human rights curtailed for no just cause. Only his wife is allowed access to him.
“This morning (yesterday), the EFCC has been served with court processes by Otunba Gbenga Daniel’s lawyers led by Professor Taiwo Osipitan (SAN) and Mr. Tayo Oyetibo (SAN) seeking to enforce his fundamental human rights. This has been ignored by the agency.
“This disposition of the EFCC has left us with no alternative than to conclude that there are other motives for the continued detention of Otunba Daniel other than the investigation of an alleged crime.
Otherwise, he should have been admitted to administrative bail or formally charged to court.”
gocac: I pity Rivers State.... while yoruba Governors are busy transforming the west to a mordern egalitarian society, through vision and will for a better and advanced yoruba land. Wike is busy empowering youths with arms, sponsoring PDP convention with Rivers money, without any meaningful development, no vision, no intelligence, no wisdom, just wastage, this is the most empty headed Governor ever, with the hugh funds at his disposal yet nothing to show. scribble: Dollarization Of The APC Primaries: How Amaehi Vanquished Atiku #saibuhari
The blogosphere was inundated with reports of the excessive sharing of dollars at the All Progressives Congress which took place during the latter part of last week.
One APC supporter and Special Adviser to Osun Governor on Environment, BolaIlori had blown the scandal open after he saw the beginning stages of the dollarization in action.
He took to his Facebook page and scribbled, “Crazy things are happening here!!! Some of these cannot represent the change Nigeria is yearning for. Excessive dollarization by one of the aspirants to is to say the least obscene. I have been involved in political process for decades now, I have never witnessed this volume of raw dollarization of party primaries. I only read about this kind of things in PDP primaries. A question been asked by conscientious delegates is that whoever can be giving out between $2000 to $5000 to…delegates certainly does not represent the kind of change Nigerians want…those who contributed to the pauperization of Nigeria now revel in dollarization… majority of Ondo delegates are still standing with Buhari but have been reduced from 85% to 70% within 24 hours…the remaining has gone with dollars ooo.!!!!!”
One has to wonder how Buhari was able to win the primaries in this era of stomach infrastructure where dollars are like the Biblical manna that God sent down from heaven to nourish the Israelites as they made their way to the promised land.
Sources close to the APC with knowledge of the way the Primaries unfolded have revealed that it was Rivers State Governor, Amaechi who flew back to Rivers State and returned to Lagos on Thursday morning with enough dollars to make Benjamin Franklin blush.
It has been revealed that Atiku offered the delegates $5000 each, but Amaechi doubled it to $10000 a pop. Thus turning the tables in favour of General Buhari.
Since his adventure into the APC, Amaechi has gone out of his way to prove himself a party loyalist, always the first to shoki or azonto at the many events the APC holds, which he himself is usually the chief sponsor.
According to party insiders, Amaechi has overtaken Tinubu as the major financier of the party. One does not need to wonder why he is always at President Jonathan’s throat over misappropriated oil wells or other such business. Anything that diminishes from the State’s coffers will have a ripple effect on his funding budget for the APC.
ijekul: As the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by the Rivers State Government to probe the sale of valued assets of the state and other matters continued its sitting on Friday, the technical consultant to the state on the monorail project, Arcus Gibbs revealed that he advised former Governor Chibuike Amaechi against continuing with the project.
Managing Director of Arcus Gibbs Nig Ltd, Wiero Viguezang, however said his company gave the advice only after collecting N22.9bn from the Rivers State Government since its services were enlisted in March 1, 2010.
Viguezang spoke when he appeared before the commission to explain the role played by his company in the monorail project being probed by the commission.
While being cross-examined by counsel to the commission, Dr. Zaccheus Adangor, Viguezang, stated that the monorail project was no longer tenable considering the shortfall in the state’s revenue and the inability of its original technical and equity partners, TSI Nig Ltd, headed by the former military administrator of Rivers State, Brig-Gen Anthony Ukpo (Rtd.), to fulfil its obligations to contribute 80 per cent of its equity holdings.
He disclosed that the state owes his company N1.1bn for its services. He also said the company had in a letter to the Rivers State through the ministry of transport, in April, made a six-point recommendation to the Rivers State on how to unbundle the monorail project in such a way that the state government can salvage some financial benefits out of the N33.9bn so far invested in the project. The monorail project was originally estimated to cost about Euros2250m.
The technical partner had in its sixth point of recommendation suggested to the Rivers State Government to unbundle the monorail project and approach the manufacturers of the mechanical components and rail tracks in Germany and exploit the possibility of reselling components at a lower price to the manufacturers.
He said the company also advised the state government to consider the option of using the monorail facilities for other commercially viable purposes, mentioning the spaces between pillars and surrounding areas of the monorail project, stressing that the area between Azikiwe Road and the UTC axis could be put into very fruitful commercial purpose. Viguezang also told the commission that his company and the state government had planned to unveil the monorail project last April specifically to mislead the people of Rivers State into thinking that the project, which has gulped N33.9bn, was still on course.
He admitted that his company wrote a memo to the commissioner for transport to arrange the unveiling of the project essentially for media coverage since the project was “technically uncompleted”.
According to Viguezang, “We actually wrote to the ministry of transport in January, to arrange for the governor to unveil the monorail project in April for the attention and coverage of the media based on the expectation of the people of the state.”
When asked to clarify if the unveiling was to deceive the people of Rivers State into believing that the controversial monorail project was ready, Viguezang admitted; “It was to deceive the people into believing that the monorail project was at last ready”.
The managing director, however, stressed that “apart from the media coverage and public attention that it is expected to generate, the monorail was not technically and commercially ready. Only phase 1a within phase 1 of the project was ready. So, there was no way the public would have been able to use the monorail as at April when we asked the ministry of transport to unveil the project to the media”.
Viguezang admitted that the Rivers State government enlisted services of Arcus Gibbs at the cost of N600 million from March 1, 2010 to December 1, 2010, after the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with TSI collapsed because TSI could not raise revenue to fulfil the payment of its 80 per cent equity share capital.
He stated that part of its role as the technical service provider to the Rivers State government concerning the monorail project was to evaluate and assess the activities of TSI and give an independent opinion to the Rivers State government.
..............allowed by the IDLERS who complain and whine but do nothing else. How much have YOU contributed to the campaign of a politician Have you ever attended any protest march? Did you ever initiate or promote a petition? How many signatures did you collect in the process. No pain, no gain. No investment, no dividends, bro.
seguntijan: Old men who have held the country hostage for years hold meetings day and night. They travel far and wide for conventions to discuss how to further wreak havoc on us. They are not just stealing from the treasury, they have the keys to the vault. When given tasks, they accomplish them swiftly. And that is why we feel the pain immediately.
But you the young man who is not too young to run, anytime we call for meetings, rallies, protests, we practically beg you to partake. When you come, you spend the first 1 hour chatting with a fellow nuisance on your phone. When we eventually plead to you to be attentive in the meeting, you listen to respond and attack. Not to learn and contribute. For protests, you are too handsome and neat to walk the streets. 30 minutes into the protest, you are already complaining of backache, headache and even brainache. When we call for press conferences to address issues, you are always busy. At the end of the year, show us the proceeds of your being busy- there is nothing to show. Being BUSY but not in BUSINESS. I pity this generation.
Is it not oríburúkú ('unfortunate' would not pass the message powerfully as I want) that in a population of over 180 million people with 60% as youths, we are served in 2019 with the choice of Buhari or Atiku? If you don't know, brother, it is called 'eríibú' in Ilorin dialect.
There is a name given to you freely by the generous people of Oyo. It is Òpònú ayíradà. Òpònú ayíradà is someone who wants to enjoy the dividends of democracy without giving his shares in the struggle. Show me the Bank that gives dividends without receiving shares! Show me! So I can report to the E.F.C.C.

Thank you sir. Well said. Will this prod our youths into taking appropriate ACTION? May the God enlarge you richly. Amin.

In the same way that YOU did in 2015 Make una come see this joker oh.
gateleo: The All Progressives Congress has lost five House of Representatives seats to the Peoples Democratic Party and a seat to the Accord Party in Lagos.
Investigations by our correspondent showed that most of the reps lost in Igbo- dominated local government areas.
Sources in the APC said the love the people of the South-East have for President Goodluck Jonathan positively affected the PDP candidates, some of whom had not even been rigorously campaigning.
In Amuwo Odofin local government, which has a very high Igbo population, especially in areas like Kirikiri, Satellite Town and FESTAC, the PDP candidate, Oghene Egboh, who is from the Niger-Delta, defeated Mr. Ganiyu Olukolu of the APC.
In Ajeromi/Ifelodun, which is one of the most densely populated areas in Lagos State and is home to Ajegunle (another Igbo dominated area), the PDP candidate, Mrs. Rita Orji, who also hails from the South-East, defeated Taiwo Adenekan of the APC.
The story was the same in the Igbo-dominated Ojo LG, where the PDP candidate, Mr. Tajudeen Obasa, won the seat.
In Surulere federal constituency 2, which is home to Aguda and a few Igbo settlements, Mr. Tunji Soyinka of the PDP defeated Mr. Hakeem Bamgbala of the APC.
It was learnt that apart from the ‘Igbo’ factor, the incumbent rep, Mr. Aliyu Kazeem, had been in court with Bamgbala over the conduct of the primary.
It was learnt that the division within the party gave the PDP the opportunity to penetrate the community.
An APC leader in Surulere said, “We are still in shock. Haliyu Kazeem, who is the incumbent, lost the primary in December last year and refused to work with Bamgbala. He took Bamgbala to court and they are still slugging it out.
“If they had put things in order, we would not have lost. Bamgbala is a former chairman of Aguda Local Council Development Area and a good grass roots politician.”
In Mushin federal constituency 2, the APC candidate, Yemi Alli, lost to Dauda Kako-Aare of the Accord Party.
Kako-Aare, who is the incumbent, lost at the APC primary last December to Alli and defected to Accord.
In Oshodi/Isolo federal constituency 2, the incumbent, Mr. Akeem Munir, lost to Mr. Tony Nwoolu of the PDP.
bankyblue: PDP just lost OYO as a state, is official Others to follow suit I once said it that the PDP convention is the beginning of the end again for PDP. The political decider of Nigeria election is SW. If u like quote me and say rubbish, Ogun will fall on u and shupuno will follow u.
Luxuryconsult: stop decieving yourself oga.. I agree with you that Jonathan is liverless.. Cool but to assume Buhari is a saint is just something i won't accept. Just relax till after his tenure.. Jonathan was too cold t be a president, he doesn't know how to make decisions. He shouldn't have backed out of OBJ, Babangida instructions. And by the way these northern people are ready to use their own parent just to play the politics game so he couldn't have done much. If you are not cruel or been in the military once, you can't rule Nigeria especially when you are from the south. GEJ was just too good a man to rule the country. He is nothing but a good man.
Why did Ebola Owu (a retired Army General and former military Head of State) not deal ruthlessly with Yerima and other northern governors, including Yar'Adua when they introduced Sharia criminal law in January 2000, only eight months after he was sworn in, when their plans to kill him in a coup did not succeed
profmiganigal: Is no news We all know.... Shettima, buhari, tinubu and el-rufai.......... Masterminded the abduction Is a fact.........
Irrefutable FACT. You forgot Ebola Owu and Sanusi. That was why Shettima organised All Poverty Congress, APC governors visit a few days before Jonathan to dent his image and secure Fulani return to power. Why did Boko Haram not attack when barawo bubu and other Association of Pdp Crooks, APC were having big rallies in Maiduguri
bappahman: 1. Pre-empting the president The ability to out-manoeuvre your opponent is key in politics. And with the visit, the APC governors did that very successfully. For a while, questions have been asked about President Jonathan and why, despite the fact that Borno state has arguably been the most troubled state since he became president, he has not deemed it fit to visit the state since he became president. Earlier this year, the government of that state, accused the FG of ignoring the state because the state government is of a different political persuasion to the government at the center. The FG strenuously denied that allegation. And even the vice-president was dispatched to the state to help thaw the ice. But still, the president hasn’t showed. There are reports though that the president might visit the state in the coming weeks. But, the APC governors did it first, and undoubtedly, to the press and in the court of public opinion, that might count for something. Even if it doesn’t, constantly repeating it helps the APC score some political points. 2. Another avenue for publicity Even though the APC is a new party, it cannot be said that it is an unknown party, especially because of the heavyweights involved. However, considering that it hasn’t yet started the hard work of actively getting Nigerians to buy into their idea and ideology, it needs all the positive publicity it can get. And with the visit on Thursday, it sure will get lots of that in the coming week. Already, they are milking it. The Osun governor, Rauf Aregbesola wrote on his Facebook page after the meeting that: “Our (APC Governors) visit clearly underscores the need for COURAGE, CONSCIOUSNESS, COMPASSION and DECISIVENESS which is presently lacking in the country. The progressive Governors forum a.k.a “APC GOVERNORS” has demonstrated what is needed to stabilize Nigeria and bring security to bear.” Of course, his post was a gross exaggeration of the impact of their visit, but what do they care, they’ll claim it anyway. 3. Endeared themselves into the heart of the people The APC governors reportedly visited a market and a female school. Very strategic. According to Gov. Aregbesola, “they walked freely among the masses to a rousing welcome and great admiration.” Another score for them. 4. Opportunity to do some good In their communique read at the end of the visit, the governors said they “collectively donated N200 million to Borno and Yobe State governments for emergency relief and support in the light of the Boko Haram insurgency affecting the two states.” N200 million is a drop considering what is needed to get that state back on track. But it’s a sign of goodwill. People remember things like that, especially if the money is used for the purposes for which it was actually donated. 5. Shaping the conversation The potency of the visit in redirecting the national conversation cannot be overemphasised. Through their visit, the problem of insecurity in the country was put back on the front-burner of national conversation. And of course, if insecurity is mentioned in Nigeria, whether in a PDP or an APC state, it ends up putting the government at the centre and the president, who is the Chief Security Officer of the country on the wrong foot. The interesting thing is that despite the fact that the APC communique carried an upbeat tone on the security situation, it still cannot make the president look good. A win situation for the opposition. They said in their statement that: “In solidarity with the government and people of Borno and Yobe states, we are pleased to witness an upsurge of tranquility and happy that the situation has calmed down considerably in Maiduguri, contrary to the image of rampant violence that has been painted to the whole world. We have discovered the people are going about their businesses without hindrance. We wish to commend the efforts of our brother- governors in the two states and the security agencies for the restoration of peace and stability.” 6. Chance to talk some more about their party A visit to Maiduguri was done and yet, over 70 percent of the communique was about the forum’s “irrevocable commitment to the emergence of the new party, All Progressive Congress (APC),” and commendation of “the Central Merger Committee of the APC on the progress so far made in the establishment of the new party, particularly the recent inauguration of three major committees on constitution, manifesto and legal/INEC compliance,” and how they wished to “inform Nigerians that we shall soon embark on a national outreach and sensitization activities and we call on Nigerians to support our effort to rescue the country from a visionless leadership.”
