The oil wells in the nd is owned by Nigeria, cos it was not planted by anyone.
Who planted the FERTILITY of the soil in the north so that cotton, groundnut, onions can grow there?
Can the oil be produced without someone WORKING it with machines such as you would work a FERTILE land with hoes, seeds etc?
Meanwhile the soil in the Niger Delta is destroyed by the northerners who own 80% of the oil wells and exploit in a nonchalant way since it is not their own environment being degraded.

FG, States, LGs Share N568.4 Billion for Oct
15 NOVEMBER 2013

Also, $1billion was proposed for distribution to complement shortfall in expected revenue." The $1billion is a compromise by the FG over its words in September not to augment shortfalls anymore.

Responding to the presentation, the chairman of the States Commissioners of Finance and Ebonyi State Commissioner of Finance, Mr Timothy Odaah, lamented that the statutory allocation was getting smaller and smaller. "It appears this is the worst in terms of returns. This is the least in allocations as far as this year is concerned. We are mourning the dearth of funds and this is a wakeup call for states and local governments to buoy up their internally generated revenue."

While appreciating the "magnanimity" of President Goodluck Jonathan to approve the $1billion from the excess crude account and to be shared among the federal, state and local governments, Odaah expressed disappointment with the returns made by the NNPC.

He said that the states had requested for $2bn to complement for the shortfall in revenue but got only $1billion. In September, Odaah and fellow commissioners had walked out of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) when the federal government said that the framework of the 2013 budget was no longer realistic and it won't augment shortfall in revenue. Odaah raised issues with the statutory allocations of previous months.

The useless APC government has already outperformed the previous Democratic and Military government of Nigeria as the worst ever.

May God run the lifes of all them that helped bring in this demonic and oppressive government the same way Nigeria is been retrogressively managed.

Kidnapper, Terrorists, Militants, Arm Rubbers, Criminals - find something legitimate to do with your life. The next President of Nigeria is NOT into Military-Costume-Wearing. He is a Retired Major General. Trained in Nigeria, India, United Kingdom and the United States. He is an over performer. He is not shy of the Facts. Our Senior Military Commanders will not eat Military budget and clean mouth under his watch.

Don't mind those that tell you that Nigeria Cannot be Changed. That things can't be better. They just want to keep looting. When they exhaust their lies, they will start mocking, insulting and posting cartoons.

While PDP are hoping to rig themselves in, Buhari and the entire APC team believe you have the capacity to elect Buhari with your votes alone. Let see who wins (PDP Rigging vs The Votes of the Masses).

Everyone screaming "Buy Nigerian", you don't understand. I used to say that as well. But I know better now.

It costs more to buy a Nigerian finished good compared to its foreign counterpart. Labour, infrastructure, lack of power, lack of tax incentives and technology, all these make Nigerian goods hard to compete with their foreign counterparts (whom have solved all those problems). Which means even though my salary has not increased and I'm buying Made-in-Naija, I'm spending the same or more to be patriotic. And worse, I'm being patriotic to a country whose own government is not serious about fixing those problems or even enabling its parastatals to do their jobs and make sure the Made-in-Nigeria goods are of a decent quality. I just found out proof of this is a hard way that would have cost me a trip to the doctors and we even saw Water Bottling companies breaking laws with impunity, even Cway has not bothered to dignify the public with a response to the fact a dead frog was found in its product. Then someone will tell me to sacrifice my family for the betterment of the Nigerian economy? When my own government runs abroad for Healthcare and Education, I am to stay here and be patriotic? When my government is rewarding its cronies with contracts to import fuel instead of slash their salaries and pour it into the power sector and Transportation sector and make it easy for any manufacturer to source for materials locally and abroad, am I to sit tight and wave the Nigerian flag and watch my children suffer?

Is this what I voted for?
Great post except that you, like many of us, do not realise that WE are the government.
The government is simply an aggregation of our values.
It is not just about voting a president or governor. I am sure that in those countries where they have all these better value products that we prefer, the vast majority of their citizens don't simply queue and vote. Not so huh

So if you are thinking that Lagos revenue would be able to cater for the deficiencies in infrastructure, sir, then you are the one who I'm sorry to say is ignorant.
Is it not the increased population that rather leads to increased revenue or WHO do you think generates the revenue? Is it the land by itself or the people working the land?
