redroom: Yorubas are id*ots TBH, South East Senator Stella Oduah sponsored establishment of South East Development Commission , lots of Northern APC senator supported the Bill
But one afonja senator from oyo opposed the bill wicked and devilish pple.
Thanks for this timely reminder that is very relevant to the issue of discussion. Can you please explain how one senator equals each, every and all Yorubas? I don't get it. If he is an idiot, please let him have & enjoy his label alone without roping other millions of Yorubas with the idiotA.
Realadey: And most of those senators that are against bills that will benefit Southwest have businesses here o,that's life for you. Yoruba ronu
Awon omo ale Yoruba kan won ko le ronu nitori Extra Level ti won n le kiri. That is why they asked where are the cows when people were mourning the death of Pa Fasoranti's allegedly by herdsmen.
Okoroawusa: Good appointment. Take some one from within the agency. It encourages.
You did not read between the lines to understand why the agency has been in such a rot and someone like him will ensure the rot continues to worsen.
Jamoh, who hails from Kaduna, is also the current president of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (CIoTA).
The 56-year-old holds a PhD from the University of Port Harcourt, specialising in logistics and transport management.
He also holds a master’s degree in management from Korea Maritime and Ocean University, a post-graduate diploma in management sciences from Bayero University, Kano and a diploma in accounting from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
TheCable also understands that he has 32 years of professional experience in the transportation and maritime sector.
He is also the author of the book, Harnessing Nigeria’s Maritime Assets: Past, Present and Future.
Jamoh joined NIMASA in 2003 as an assistant chief commercial officer, eastern and central zones.
He served with the Kaduna state government before transferring his services to the then National Maritime Authority (NMA) in 1994.
How virile has NIMASA been since 2003? What was the performance of NMA from 1994 to 2003? How many southerners transferred their services from their state governments to the federal in the Fulani Republic of Naijeriya, FRN?
MelesZenawi: North again and again. Few weeks back I boldly stated that north patronises east well and the other side of divide descended on the thread with sentiments. You're only interested in using media propaganda to tarnish the Image of the north but the good side you don't want to hear or see it. Well this is another from a northern governor by name Governor Abdullrazaq. I wonder if this one is another sentiment as thet will call it
Kwara is north when it comes to enslavement but not for the benefits of the Fulani Republic of Naijeriya, FRN. Thanks but no thanks.
comos: The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, on Friday justified the arrest of only suspects of Yoruba extraction over the recent clash in Ile-Ife, Osun State, which resulted in the death of about 46 persons. He said crime neither has tribe nor identity.
Idris spoke with State House correspondents shortly after briefing President Muhammadu Buhari of security situations in parts of the country inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The police had been in the eye of the storm for arresting and parading 20 Yoruba persons, including a monarch, over the clash while not a single Hausa/Fulani person was detained.
The pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere; and the Oodua Peoples Congress are among groups and individuals that have been criticising the police over the development.
Idris however said the police would not hesitate to apply the law once criminal cases are established against individuals, irrespective of their tribe.
He said, “You know we are police officers. Crime has no tribe. If you are a criminal, you are a criminal.
“Crime has no face. We don’t look at crime in the identity of where you are coming from.
“As far as you are a criminal and the police find you wanting, we apply the law.”
He said investigation had revealed that the crisis started with a disagreement between two people selling food along the road.
Nasir123: Mr man, how is your Governor fairing? How has your own state develop so far? Is it still the fault of Tinubu?! You guys should go and seat down! Tinubu did this, Tinubu did that, why can't you guys checkmate him?! Must you make noise?! When or where did Tinubu had an agreement that he's going to be doing your thinking? You guy should better be smart. Tinubu did this! Tinubu did that! Yet your court couldn't convict him during Obasanjo and Goodluck. You guys should stop playing stupid politics that has taking us this backward.
I am sorry for you. Datsall!!!
Freegift75: Code Of Conduct Tribunal Freed Bola Tinubu In Error – Rotimi Jacobs . . . Rotimi Jacobs, a senior advocate of Nigeria and the Federal Government prosecuting counsel in the 13 count charge of false assets declaration trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki on Thursday said the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) was misled to discharge former Governor of Lagos State Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he was arraigned before it in November 2011.
Gten: It took South Africa's recession to make Nigerian economy 1st. This does not in anyway indicate progress, cos our economy didn't get any better, South African economy just got bad. In other words, South Africa now have their own Buhari. Sense will not kill me!
Please list how her position will benefit you as a Yoruba? How did Obasanjo's eight years benefit the south west and even Abeokuta his hometown? What of Otueke/Bayelsa/South South of Jonathan? How far with better life for the people of Daura and Katsina despite Buhari dictator, Yar'Adua and Buhari presidencies? Do you think before you talk
pacespot: Keep deceiving yourself with your superstitious believe in metaphysical powers, but you cannot use your juju to fight off boko haram and banditry herdsmen.
FrLukas: You think Lagos is the only Yoruba state? Or maybe you think there isn't a huge influx of non Yorubas into other Yoruba states. The IGR of Lagos isn't so much of over-bloated population as it is that of high concentration of companies and industries as well as presence of a viable and functioning seaport. Of course, human resources is important and needed to drive that economy. But when majority of that population begins to cause a strain on the infrastructure of the state without a corresponding contribution to the state, such that more is needed to maintain and refurbish these, then we have to ask ourselves, is it worth it? Also, there is the issue of security and safety. That was why the Lagos state government banned commercial motorcycles and tricycles recently. There are European countries whose population is less than that of Lagos and they are doing very well. As it stands, the current estimated population of Lagos is 21 million. DO you know the current population of The Netherlands? 17.18 million (2018 figure) Do you know the population of Sweden? 10.12 million (2018 figure) Do you think Lagos with its bloated population is doing better than The Netherlands or Sweden? It isn't about population explosion. That's why Canada doesn't just open up her borders to every Tom, Dick and Harry. The question is, what are you going to contribute, or can you even contribute to the society. Most people just up and leave their region and head westwards to Yorubaland without any plans, or place to even sleep. Yorubas are over 40 million people and majority of them live in Western Nigeria. Even Canadian population is not as much. Canada is just 37.6 million. So are you saying that Yorubas can't have a nation of their own?
mrvitalis: 2 million dollars ...720 million per month ...over 8.4 billion a year ...I doubt this
No need to doubt. Let him show us his personal income tax returns since he is saying he personally does the charity and not the church. If it is the church he should also show tax filing returns for exemption. Easy.
Oshigun: Bruv, I am beginning to agree with you. I previously thought Nigeria can work if we all pull our weight. Many events of late just show that many are simply not interested in doing that and only want to continually reap where they have not sown. There is no way a man can win a race, even if super fast, while carry two men on each shoulder and one on his back and racing against others who have no burden or baggage slowing them down.
This is my major worry for Amotekun. Of course we need it. Yet if it becomes a massive success and SW subsequently becomes by far the safest zone in Nigeria then we can expect a huge wave of migration into the region from all other regions of Nigeria with worthless, indolent and incompetent leaders.
Why can't discriminatory taxes, rates, levies etc be applied to deter people from coming into a particular LGA and state Is there any constitutional provision against that?
FrLukas: The Yorubas have a saying: Ohun ti aye ba so eni da, ohun ni won maa fi bu eni lola. Are you surprised that the same people who won't stay in their region, but will come and overpopulate the West are the same people who will be the first to point to brown roofs and slums in the West?
Brown roofs are signs of a history of old towns that should be cherished as tourist attractions if we don't have a destroy and replace mentality.
The burden is way too much on the West. Meaningful development will continue to elude Yorubaland if we remain in this contraption called Nigeria, fending for everyone who has enough money to take a trip to the west, leaving their own governors to grow fat on their own collective wealth. Those who said the unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable are enemies of progress.
Where do you think the fat IGR of Lagos is generated if you only think of burden of high numbers? Should you not be more concerned about the money from Lagos going into the federation account shared to northern states who contribute next to nothing, but take the lion's share due to their fabricated population figures and federal presence through quota system? Are you not on a misplaced priority trip?
Anikulhapo: Kemi Adeosun, minister for finance, says more than half of Nigeria’s value added tax (VAT) comes from Lagos state alone.
Speaking at the parley between the federal government and progressive governors forum (PGF) in Abuja on Tuesday, Adeosun said the 87 percent of Nigeria’s VAT is derived from four states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In other words, only 13 percent of Nigeria’s VAT comes from 32 other states in the federation.
According to her no country in the world with high tax compliance rate is poor, and no rich country has a low tax compliance rate.
“There is no poor country that has a high tax compliance rate, and no rich country that has a low one,” Adeosun said.
Quoting current VAT collection data across Nigeria, the minister said “55% of Nigeria’s VAT is collected in Lagos State. 20% in FCT, 6% in Rivers, 5% in Kano, 1% in Kaduna”.
“I’m hoping that one day Finance Commissioners will stop needing to come to Abuja monthly to share FAAC, because IGR (internally generated revenue) will be sufficient.”
haffaze777: From the same hole u crawled out from,we won't see you people in any thread that talked about ur useless leader,u only regain ur voice whenever southwest leader matter hit the front page,Are you a lagosian?why do u carry tinubu matter for head like gala as if he ever governed ur state?I'm from Ogun state and I don't poke nose into Lagos state affair even though we share almost every boarder with Lagos, why is it only people from eastern part that carry Lagos matter for head?
You know people are from the eastern part when they criticise your Thiefnuibu because you are a winch Or how do you know where anyone is from on a faceless forum like this?
punisha: Stupidity comes with a price... Who knows a tattoo parlour in PH? I will like to draw a fake eye, so when I close my eyes n sleep it would look as if I'm still looking at you. I don't trust my cousins anymore. High level of crime going on in my house. Time I caught who always steals the meat in d pot.
haffaze777: I used to argued with my brothers,my colleagues even my lawyer why I don't like tinubu but I will keep defending him when one useless Igbo crazytain or jew try to criticize him, because u won't see any of them criticize any of their useless leaders or governors, they know the value of tinubu in Nigeria politics and they are bitter they don't have someone like him in there mist, their consultant criticism f Tinubu will only make someone like me who don't like tinubu to started defending him even make him our role model, one think I've noticed about Nigeria politics is that Igbo crazytian and jews will only oppose what is good for Yoruba nation
So anyone who criticises your leader looter is not a Yoruba? Where did you crawl out from?
fuzek: THE General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly and running mate of Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) during the April 16 presidential election, Pastor Tunde Bakare, declared that it would be fool-hardy for “any bastard and the son of a concubine” to assume the leadership mantle of the Yoruba.
While preaching in his church in Lagos on the topic: “It is time to speak”, the fiery cleric said: “Look at the madness going on in Yoruba land. slowpoke, nincompoop, people without family background causing problem because of money, ill gotten wealth. If a town or settlement is at peace, the bastard there is yet to grow up.
“If you are a bastard, there is nothing you can do to cover up with money. Where is your father’s compound? A bastard pretending to be a patriot. We are proud of our heritage because we have goodly heritage. There are those who call themselves nobles who are under the influence of Jezebel. Until they drink kainkain, they cannot function. They pretend to be larger than life,” he added.
He likened the person angling to take over the leadership of the Yoruba to the Biblical Abimelech who forcefully took over a kingdom that did not belong to him and was eventually destroyed.
The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) Vice Presidential candidate declared further: “If you are trusting the son of a concubine to deliver you, you are in trouble”.
oodua1stson: I'm a Yoruba man. And any man who is working against the Yoruba nation because of his own selfish interest automatically becomes my enemy. It doesn't matter if the person is buhari, fulani herdsmen or the traitor in Lagos who asked the most foolish question in history; where are the cows
Is it not a bastard who uses the left hand to point out his father's house who can be so foolish as Thiefnuibu was on that occasion
oodua1stson: I know tinubu is your lord and saviour but to me, he's nothing but a traitor. So please, whenever you feel like svcking his diseased d1ck online please don't quote me if you don't want to soribu
The worst traitor to ever happen to Yoruba after Afonja of Ilorin. Such a pity for his crowd of defenders here.
haffaze777: At least Lagos is millions times better than the hole you came from Don't u think ur state need the same Tinubu guidance As salam alaekum my Igbo muslim friend
Oshigun: Guy, stop the mischief. You want to feign ignorance of how Tinubu grew the economy of Lagos dramatically to the extent the State would now be the seventh biggest economy in Africa if an independent nation? The work of Tinubu and Fashola, as Governors of Lagos, are still hailed worldwide today as dissertation material on economic management !!!!! That is how well-regarded Tinubu is by non-Nigerians who are able to think dispassionately because they are not weighed down by the yoke of tribalism as many Nigerians are. Tinubu, as a pioneer, began using PPP arrangements (private-public-partnership) to aid a broke Lagos when other Governors had never even heard of the concept and even mocked Jagaban when he initially proposed it. E.g Gbenga Daniel of Ogun back then. Wise and intelligent Nigerians know that Tinubu is not responsible for how Lagos is a victim of its own success with literally many, many thousands trooping in daily to live in one of the few sane States of Nigeria where things work moderately and comparatively ok and people are still able to earn whereas they could only previously sit and starve in their respective villages before joining a bus to Lagos. You are not even aware of your own unfairness at attacking Tinubu when the smallest State in the whole of Nigeria is home to 18-20 million Nigerians putting immense pressure on the infrastructure and wealth of this State that is geographically tiny in comparison to others. You will sit here daily pouring vitriol on Tinubu daily but what manner of a person are you when you have no criticism for negligent Governors who abandoned their own jobs to then make their people the burdensome migrants of Lagos and her headache?
Wasted words. How much has Thiefnuibu achieved with all the trillions in budget of all these years? How many schools built? How many teachers employed? What was the ratio of students: teachers in 1999 and what is it now? What is the ratio of students in government schools compared to private schools in 1999 and now Etc etc. Ordinary water, how far? Single phase of light rail, not delivered. And you are comparing with the rogues in the other 35 states. Is that how you improve your life personally? By comparing yourself with the worst people around you? Are you okay
oodua1stson: most entertainers in Lagos don't really make much money from their job. It's either they make money through prostituti0n or through political beg beg. Politics aside, if you ask the fool of his opinion from his mind he would speak sense, but because he has no source of livelihood to sustain the life he lives in Lagos he will speak what tinubu instructs him to say
Nasir123: All you alighted is the truth. If we can have a Tinubu in every state regardless of his or her progressive strategy, Nigeria would have been great . And that's a fact some people have refuses to learn and adopt simply because of the wickedness, envy, and lost in their minds.
Thiefnuibu has been in charge of Lagos state for over 20 years, is the state great? How is it great?
ZombieNation: The canker worm Tinubu was the first governor to turn state house of assemblies to rubber stamps. The Lagos state national assembly passed a pension bill for elected officials which included Tinubu. Under the bill, Lagos is saddled with maintaining Tinubu for the rest of his life on the prevailing full salary a sitting governor is entitled to. The pension bill for Tinubu also includes choice properties bought and paid for by the state in Abuja, Lagos and abroad. Tinubu also has the choice of 5 executive cars to be replaced every 5yrs. Recall also that Tinubu is on record to be the only elected governor in the history of modern democracy to have had 4 deputies in 8yrs! The man is a rotten egg who spear headed corruption in Nigeria to new levels and the financial bankruptcy of acn states under his leprosy grip is evidence of his systematic kleptomaniac.

WHO SAYS 4 YEARS IN OFFICE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS?
IT'S A FACT THAT 90% OF GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA SINCE 1999 WITH REVENUES AT THEIR DISPOSAL CANNOT BOAST OF A QUARTER OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN WITHIN THEIR EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE.
Let us focus on the positives of the greater numbers of both groups instead of the negatives by the tiny but vocal minority who are motivated by their own narrow, parochial benefits and worldview. Not only do we need each other for easier disengagement from the yoke of the Fulanis/northerners, we are linguistically related more than we care to admit. Shalom.
FrLukas: I don't need to. I'm sure you are an Igbo person who was raised in Yorubaland, hence your proficiency in Yoruba language. This may seem like a new moniker but I have engaged you quite some in the past years where you be shown you are decidedly Igbo and how much you despise Yorubas. Yorubas won't need to go to war to secede if they decide to toe that option. We've always believed in brains over brawn. Firigbon o s'ilekun...no be by gragra. See how Amotekun was achieved without bloodshed despite naysayers from your region? That's how to do it. And if it becomes necessary for the Yorubas to go to war to achieve their independence, I'm sure they can hold their own. It'd be silly for others to join the Fulanis to tey and decimate the Yorubas, but I'm sure you and your people would love that so much. No qualms. Yorubas are not the problem of the southern part of Nigeria. We stay in our region and mind our business. We don't put other ethnicities down and claim their land is nobody's land just because they are accommodating. We don't boast and brag and beat our chest that we are the best of all the ethnicities in Nigeria. We don't go to other regions and commit crimes. If you want to make the Yoruba an ally, then stretch your hand across the Niger. Owo atoroje lo ma n gun...
The bold is applicable to both ethnic nationalities for some of their people.
