Politics2027 Presidential Race: Key Scenarios And Power Alignments Taking Shape by AnonPoet(op): 12:51pm On Apr 27
Nigeria may still be months away from the official campaign season, but political activities are already shifting from speculation to strategic positioning. Alliances are emerging, interests are consolidating, and early indicators suggest that the 2027 presidential election could rank among the most competitive since 2015.
At the center of evolving realignments is the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which is increasingly being viewed as a potential coalition platform for major political actors. However, the broader political environment remains fluid, with the incumbent administration and opposition figures actively positioning for advantage.

In Nigeria’s electoral system, outcomes are rarely determined by popularity alone. Instead, results are shaped by regional voting strength, elite coordination, voter turnout, institutional credibility, and the neutrality of electoral and security agencies. This makes coalition-building and geography more decisive than individual ambition.

Understanding Nigeria’s Electoral Structure
Presidential elections in Nigeria are not driven by uniform national voting patterns. Instead, they are determined across six geopolitical zones, each with distinct political behaviour:

The North-West remains the largest voting bloc and often decisive in national outcomes.
The South-West is widely regarded as the incumbent’s strategic stronghold.
The North-East and North-Central regions are highly competitive and often swing based on alliances.
The South-East and South-South tend to show more consistent voting preferences, though turnout varies significantly.

Winning the presidency typically requires a broad coalition that performs strongly across multiple regions, rather than dominance in only one or two zones.

Key Political Actors and Their Positions
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
As the incumbent, Tinubu enters the 2027 cycle with clear structural advantages, including strong party networks and nationwide political influence through the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). His long-standing political machinery remains particularly strong in the South-West.

However, incumbency also brings scrutiny. Economic challenges, inflation, and security concerns may shape public sentiment, potentially tightening the race if opposition coalitions become more organized.

Atiku Abubakar
Atiku remains one of Nigeria’s most experienced political figures, with deep networks across the North and strong connections in business and political circles. His strength lies in coalition-building and mobilisation capacity.

Still, repeated presidential attempts may present challenges in appealing to younger voters, making broad-based appeal critical for his 2027 prospects.

Peter Obi
Peter Obi’s 2023 presidential run significantly reshaped Nigeria’s political landscape. His campaign generated over 6.1 million votes and strong performances in several key states, including Lagos, Rivers, and the Federal Capital Territory.

His “Obidient” movement also translated into legislative gains across national and state levels, signalling a strong youth-driven political base. However, questions around nationwide reach—particularly in parts of the North—remain a key challenge.

Rabiu Kwankwaso
Kwankwaso maintains strong influence in Kano and the broader North-West. Recent political realignments in Kano have further strengthened his grassroots structure, making him a significant force in determining northern voting outcomes.

His ability to shape the Kano–Kaduna–Katsina political corridor remains strategically important in any national contest.

Rotimi Amaechi
Amaechi brings extensive governance and federal experience, particularly from his time in key national roles. His base remains rooted in the South-South, but his current national electoral appeal appears more limited compared to other leading figures.

He is often viewed as a potential supporting figure within broader alliances rather than a standalone frontrunner.

Nasir El-Rufai
El-Rufai is widely regarded as a strong strategist with significant influence in northern elite political circles. His organisational skills and policy experience remain key strengths.

However, controversies from his tenure as governor may limit his appeal as a presidential candidate, positioning him more as a behind-the-scenes strategist or campaign coordinator.

Possible Coalition Scenarios
Several possible political combinations could shape the 2027 race:

A Peter Obi–Rabiu Kwankwaso alliance could merge strong urban youth support with deep northern grassroots structures.

An Atiku-led coalition with a southern running mate would reflect a more traditional north–south power balance.

Alternative alignments involving figures like Amaechi or El-Rufai could serve strategic roles, depending on how coalitions evolve.
In all cases, success will depend on the ability to merge regional strengths into a unified national structure.

Key Structural Factors Beyond Candidates
Beyond individual politicians, several broader issues will shape the election:

Coalition stability: Opposition unity has historically been fragile, often breaking down due to competing ambitions.

Regional performance: Strong results in the North-West and North-Central remain critical to winning nationally.

Voter turnout: Public engagement will be decisive, with mobilisation efforts on both sides likely to determine participation levels.

Electoral administration: Confidence in the electoral process, from polling to result collation, remains central to credibility and acceptance.

The Incumbency Advantage
Despite growing opposition activity, the ruling party retains institutional advantages, including established political networks and control of key administrative structures. However, economic pressures and public sentiment could influence competitiveness more than in previous cycles.

Conclusion
The 2027 presidential election is gradually taking shape as a contest defined by coalition strength, regional balance, and voter mobilisation rather than individual popularity alone.

While the opposition may have an opportunity to build a broader alliance than in previous cycles, its success will depend on coordination and compromise. The incumbent, meanwhile, remains structurally strong but not immune to shifting political and economic realities.

At this stage, the race remains open, with its outcome likely to be determined by how effectively political actors manage alliances and voter engagement in the months ahead.

PoliticsParty Guidelines Recognise Consensus Or Direct Primaries — Ogun East Leaders by AnonPoet(op): 5:51pm On Apr 24
APC Has No Rule for Endorsement, Party Guidelines Recognise Only Consensus or Direct Primaries — Ogun East Stakeholders

Prominent leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun East Senatorial District have declared that the April 20 endorsement of Governor Dapo Abiodun as the party’s consensus senatorial candidate for the 2027 elections is legally void and politically illegitimate, arguing that the APC’s amended electoral guidelines make no provision for endorsements and recognise only consensus or direct primaries as valid pathways to candidacy.

The stakeholders, operating under the BATOGD Movement, a support vehicle for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, spoke at a press briefing held at Daniel’s Sagamu GRA residence, where they formally rejected the outcome of the meeting held at Adeola Odutola Hall in Ijebu Ode.

Retired General Olumuyiwa Okunowo, who spoke on behalf of the group, said the gathering was not a legitimate APC caucus meeting but a closed-door affair orchestrated exclusively by the Governor’s loyalists. He said qualified members who arrived with valid invitations were turned away at the entrance and told the event was “a DA show” open only to those loyal to the governor.

“They should have been bold enough to make the notifications clear about their true intention, rather than using the name of our great party to drag our leaders into ratifying a premeditated show,” Okunowo said.

Former Ijebu North East Local Government Chairman, Otunba Tayo Onayemi, questioned the legal basis of the entire exercise. “Consensus, as recognised by law, must be based on voluntary agreement by all aspirants. Has the governor formally declared? Has he obtained nomination forms? Without these steps, there is no consensus,” he said.

Former Commissioner Akogun Kola Onadipe was equally direct, stating that the party’s guidelines require all aspirants vying for a position to individually sign a consensus form, formally agreeing to the consensus arrangement before it can be considered binding on any party. He said the absence of that process rendered the Ijebu Ode event worthless in the eyes of party law. “Consensus requires that all aspirants willingly agree and endorse the candidate in writing. If one person disagrees, the party must conduct direct primaries. What happened on Monday falls short of these requirements,” he said.

Beyond the endorsement dispute, the group also raised alarm over what it described as a security siege on Senator Daniel’s Ijebu Ode residence the following day. Okunowo said armoured vehicles and hundreds of police officers were deployed around the property without any justification, alleging that the Ijebu Ode Local Government Chairman misled security forces with false information to engineer the clampdown. The group said it had written a petition to the Inspector General of Police and acknowledged his prompt intervention in restoring order.

The BATOGD Movement said its community assessment and empowerment tour of the Ogun East Senatorial District, which has covered seven of the nine local government areas since September 2025 without incident, would continue as scheduled, with Ijebu Ode next on the calendar.

It would be recalled that the April 20 meeting at Adeola Odutola Hall was itself mired in controversy from the outset. Former Ogun State Governor and current Senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, was reportedly denied entry to the venue. In a video that has since gone viral, Daniel spoke from his campaign bus, branded with the OGD/PBAT Movement insignia, confirming that he had been barred from the hall. The footage added a dramatic dimension to what his supporters had already described as a choreographed exclusion, and it has continued to circulate widely on social media ahead of the 2027 contest.

PoliticsDavido Appointed Youth Mobilization Lead For Osun Governorship Campaign by AnonPoet(op): 7:55am On Apr 24
Afrobeats star Davido has been appointed as the Head of Youth Mobilization for the re-election campaign of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

The singer made the announcement on Tuesday via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, expressing enthusiasm about taking on the role within the campaign structure of his uncle, who is also the flag bearer of the Accord Party.

In his post, Davido wrote that he had been given the appointment by the Osun State governor, stating: “I have been appointed by the Governor of OSUN STATE @AAdeleke_01 and flag bearer of the ACCORD PARTY as HEAD YOUTH MOBILIZATION OF CAMPAIGN COUNCIL!”

He added that the campaign team is looking forward to a smooth election season and a successful re-election bid, using the slogan “4+4.”

The appointment comes as political activities intensify in Osun State ahead of the August 8, 2026 governorship election, where Governor Adeleke is seeking a second term in office.

Davido has long shown public support for his uncle’s political career and has increasingly become involved in related activities. In 2025, he was also named Chairman of the Osun Sports Trust Fund, aimed at boosting sports development and investment in the state.

His new role is expected to strengthen youth engagement in the campaign, particularly among young supporters in Nigeria and the diaspora as parties ramp up mobilisation ahead of the polls.

BusinessZenith Becomes First Nigerian Bank To Cross ₦5 Trillion Capitalisation by AnonPoet(op): 4:15am On Apr 24
Zenith Bank becomes first Nigerian bank valued above N5 trillion and the most Valuable bank.

In a year marked by measured but decisive gains, Zenith Bank Plc has crossed a symbolic and financial threshold, becoming the first Nigerian lender to surpass a N5 trillion valuation on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).

The milestone follows a N2.97 trillion increase in market capitalization—roughly N3 trillion, or $2.2 billion—since the start of the year, reinforcing the bank’s standing not only as Nigeria’s most profitable lender but also as its most valuable.

The rally is linked to a sharp rise in its share price on the NGX, which climbed 116 percent from N61.8 ($0.046) on Jan. 1 to N134 ($0.099) at the time of reporting. That surge lifted Zenith’s market capitalization from N2.54 trillion ($1.88 billion) to N5.5 trillion ($4.07 billion), placing it firmly among Africa’s most valuable lenders and at the top in West and Central Africa.

At the center of this growth is Adaora Umeoji, who took over as CEO in June 2024. Her tenure has coincided with a period of steady financial performance and deliberate balance sheet expansion. For 2025, Zenith posted profit after tax of N1.04 trillion ($753.76 million), a modest increase from N1.03 trillion ($748.2 million) in 2024. The 0.74 percent increase in profit stands out against a backdrop of higher operating costs and persistent macroeconomic pressure.

The bank’s underlying fundamentals have continued to hold firm.

Total assets rose to N31.46 trillion ($22.8 billion), up from N29.96 trillion ($21.7 billion), supported by growth in loans and investment securities. Customer deposits climbed to N24.33 trillion ($17.6 billion), underscoring strong liquidity. Its physical and digital reach also expanded, with 456 branches, more than 2,148 ATMs, and over 473,000 point-of-sale terminals, reflecting a steady push to strengthen retail access while maintaining scale in corporate banking.

Investor sentiment has also been shaped by forward-looking developments in the Nigerian market. The country is set for reclassification into the FTSE Russell Frontier Market Index on September 21, 2026, a shift that typically triggers passive inflows from global funds. Estimates suggest that the move could bring between $840 million and $1.04 billion into Nigerian equities, with large-cap names positioned to benefit as capital rotates back into the market.

Zenith’s appeal to investors has been reinforced by shareholder returns. The bank proposed a total dividend of N10 per share ($0.00725), double the N5 ($0.00362) paid in 2024. The payout reflects both capital strength and a willingness to reward long-term holders. For founder Jim Ovia, the distribution translates into about N58.01 billion ($42.04 million) in dividends, a reminder of the scale of value created since the bank’s early days.

Beyond Nigeria, the lender has taken steps to widen its footprint. It recently completed the acquisition of Paramount Bank, marking its entry into Kenya as the fourth Nigerian bank operating there, alongside United Bank for Africa, Guaranty Trust Bank, and Access Bank. The move signals a steady push into East Africa, with a focus on building regional scale.

Regulatory readiness has also played a role in shaping the bank’s current position. Zenith moved ahead of schedule to meet new capital requirements set by the Central Bank of Nigeria, surpassing the N500 billion ($370 million) minimum threshold for an international banking license. The bank closed at N614.7 billion ($454 million) after raising N350.46 billion ($259 million) through a hybrid offer, comfortably ahead of the March 2026 deadline.

That expansion is complemented by its new Manchester branch in the United Kingdom, designed to support corporate banking, trade finance, and treasury services for clients operating across the UK, Europe, and Africa. By positioning itself closer to businesses engaged in cross-border trade, Zenith is aligning its operations with the needs of companies navigating international markets

PoliticsReality Will Prove Our Strenght - Kwankwasiyya Tells Governor Yusuf by AnonPoet(op): 9:11pm On Apr 23
The spokesperson of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Habibu Saleh, has dismissed concerns over the defection of Abba Kabir Yusuf to the All Progressives Congress, insisting that the movement remains solid and resilient.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Post, Saleh responded to suggestions that his principal, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has lost grip of Kano’s political structure following Yusuf’s exit.

He argued that the situation is not unprecedented, recalling how former governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje once left the movement with a significant number of loyalists, yet the group eventually bounced back stronger and reclaimed political relevance.

According to Saleh, despite past setbacks that saw the movement lose key elected officials and appointees, it successfully reorganised and regained power — a pattern he believes will repeat itself.

He further claimed that cracks within the current political leadership in Kano are not being effectively managed, a development he said could ultimately favour Kwankwaso in future elections.

Saleh maintained that doubts about Kwankwaso’s political influence often stem from a misunderstanding of his long-term strategy and history.

He stressed that the movement is now more structured and better prepared, adding that its performance in the next political cycle will surpass previous outings.

“On paper, it may seem otherwise, but history tells a different story. We’ve faced this before and returned stronger,” he said, expressing confidence that unfolding events will ultimately validate their position.

PoliticsMalami Money Laundering Trial: Court Accepts Key Bank Documents As Evidence by AnonPoet(op): 8:07pm On Apr 21
A Federal High Court in Maitama, Abuja has admitted nine documentary exhibits into evidence in the ongoing money laundering trial of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), his wife, Hajia Bashir Asabe, and his son, Abubakar Abdulaziz Malami.

Presiding Justice Joyce Abdulmalik accepted the documents, which were presented by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as part of its prosecution of the former minister on charges valued at N8.7 billion.

The EFCC is pursuing the defendants on an amended 16-count charge that includes conspiracy, procurement, disguising, concealment, and laundering of proceeds from unlawful activities — all in violation of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.

The exhibits were introduced through the fourth prosecution witness, Mashelia Arhyel Bata, a Compliance Officer at Zenith Bank Plc. Testifying before the court, Bata revealed that he had received a formal request from the EFCC for financial documents connected to accounts belonging to the defendants and several associated companies. He confirmed that the bank provided both digital and physical copies of the requested records, covering accounts tied to firms including Rayhaan Hotels Limited, Rayhaan Bustan Agro Allied Limited, Nashab Limited, Golden Age Global Ventures, and Rahamaniyya Properties Limited.

The documents, spanning the period between July 19, 2024 and March 12, 2026, were admitted as Exhibits D1 through D9. Defence counsel J. B. Daudu (SAN) raised an initial objection, noting the clustering of dates around March, though the court proceeded to admit the exhibits. The witness subsequently elaborated on the details of the transactions contained in the records under further questioning by prosecution counsel Ekele Iheanacho (SAN).

Justice Abdulmalik has adjourned the case to May 13, 2026, when the trial is expected to continue.

PoliticsGbenga Daniel’s Loyalists Challenge Abiodun’s Endorsement Strategy by AnonPoet(op): 7:45pm On Apr 21
Political tensions are mounting in Ogun East Senatorial District as fresh alignments ahead of the next election cycle spark disagreements among key stakeholders. Supporters of former Ogun State governor and current senator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD), have openly criticised recent endorsement efforts believed to favour Governor Dapo Abiodun.

In a statement issued by a supporter, Mr. Adebola Odunsi from Odogbolu, concerns were raised over endorsement meetings reportedly held in Ijebu Ode. The gatherings were described as “selective,” with claims that attendance was largely restricted to political appointees and individuals aligned with the governor.

The group compared the meetings to a separate endorsement event for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as “Yayi,” which they said attracted a broader mix of political actors, including former and current officeholders as well as aspirants. They argued that the latter demonstrated greater inclusiveness in participation.

Supporters of Senator Daniel also alleged that the governor’s camp is showing signs of “political desperation,” though this claim remains unverified.

They maintained that Daniel is well-positioned to secure a second term in the Senate, pointing to what they described as his track record and sustained political influence in Ogun East. According to them, retaining his representation is vital to advancing regional interests, including the long-standing push for the creation of Ijebu-Remo State.

The statement further touched on past political grievances related to state creation efforts, drawing parallels between earlier campaigns and ongoing advocacy within the district.

Reaffirming their stance, the group expressed confidence in Daniel’s electoral prospects, insisting that voter sentiment would not be swayed by political manoeuvring.

Observers say the developments highlight deeper divisions and shifting alliances within Ogun East, as political figures intensify preparations for upcoming elections.

As of the time of filing this report, Governor Dapo Abiodun’s office has not issued an official response to the allegations.

CrimeRescued Benue JAMB Candidates Identify Arrested Herdsmen Behind Kidnap by AnonPoet(op): 5:17am On Apr 21
SECURITY OPERATIVES ARRESTS SUSPECTS BEHIND BENUE KIDNAP OF UTME CANDIDATES

The Benue State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the successful rescue of all 15 passengers abducted along the Makurdi–Otukpo road, following a coordinated operation involving security agencies. The Command also announced the arrest of suspects linked to the incident.

The Benue State Police Command has pushed back against swirling narratives over last week’s abduction of passengers along the Makurdi–Otukpo highway, insisting that victims themselves have identified suspected herdsmen as those behind the crime.

Commissioner of Police, Ifeanyi Emenari, disclosed this while presenting the rescued victims to Governor Hyacinth Alia in Makurdi, stressing that preliminary investigations and eyewitness accounts point to militia herdsmen operating as bandits in the area.

The victims, who included candidates of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) travelling to Otukpo for their examinations, were all rescued unhurt after a multi-agency security operation mounted intense pressure on the kidnappers.

According to Emenari, the rescue unfolded in phases, beginning with the release of five passengers, followed by the recovery of the remaining 13 on Sunday morning.

“With the earlier release of five occupants of the vehicle, the remaining 13 were rescued this Sunday morning unhurt,” the police chief said.

He emphasized that the breakthrough came after the deployment of tactical teams ordered by the Inspector-General of Police, which forced the suspects to abandon their captives.

More crucially, Emenari revealed that the testimony of the victims has become central to the police narrative.

“We already have eight suspects in custody, and out of this number, seven are suspected herdsmen bandits connected with the crime. Some of the victims have been able to identify them,” he stated.

PoliticsDapo Abiodun Is Buying, Manipulating His Way To A Senatorial Seat - Wale Onifade by AnonPoet(op): 7:13pm On Apr 20
Ogun East Ticket: How Dapo Abiodun Is Buying, Threatening And Manipulating His Way To A Senatorial Showdown By Wale Onifade

The envelopes are already packed.

Governor Dapo Abiodun has ordered financial inducement packages for no fewer than 400 persons, each envelope calibrated to the recipient’s political weight, to be distributed at the Adeola Odutola Event Hall in Ijebu Ode. The occasion is dressed as a stakeholders’ endorsement meeting. The substance is a cash-and-carry operation designed to manufacture grassroots consent for a predetermined outcome in the Ogun East Senatorial District.

It is the clearest possible signal that a governor approaching the end of his tenure has decided to use the machinery of office to guarantee his own next political address-the Ogun East seat in the Red Chamber, while simultaneously handpicking loyalists to occupy every other National Assembly slot in the district.

The Ogun East situation is explosive precisely because Abiodun’s personal senatorial ambition puts him on a direct collision course with President Bola Tinubu. Multiple party sources confirm that the governor has been aggressively pushing for endorsement as the APC’s Ogun East senatorial candidate, while simultaneously moving to install handpicked loyalists across the district’s House of Representatives tickets, effectively attempting to own the entire Ogun East National Assembly delegation before a single primary vote is cast.

“He is calling Aso Rock’s bluff,” one senior party figure said. “He believes that if he creates facts on the ground fast enough, the President will have no choice but to accept whoever emerges — including himself.”

The Presidency has not commented publicly. But party insiders say the friction is real, and the consequences for Abiodun’s standing at the federal level could be severe.

Personal ambition, it turns out, is a powerful motivator for misconduct. Beyond the envelopes, Abiodun is running a parallel operation built on raw intimidation.

Party leaders across Ogun East’s local government areas — Ijebu Ode, Ijebu North, Ijebu North East, Ijebu East, Ogun Waterside, and Ikenne — have received what sources describe as barely veiled threats: endorse the governor’s senatorial bid and his chosen National Assembly candidates, or face the consequences. Those consequences range from loss of political appointments to outright state harassment.

“He is threatening people with arrests,” one party chieftain said, speaking on the condition of anonymity. “He has told our leaders that if they do not fall in line, they will find out what it means to be his enemy. This is not how you build consensus. This is how you break a party.”

State government appointees from the zone have been quietly summoned and told their continued relevance depends on publicly endorsing the governor’s agenda. Public resources are being weaponised in service of one man’s post-governorship ambition.

The Adeola Odutola Hall gathering was not convened organically. It was engineered.

Sources say a large proportion of the 400 invitees are state appointees, patronage contractors, and party officials whose loyalty is to the governor, not to Ogun East. Their attendance is designed to generate photographs and video of “Ogun East leaders” endorsing Abiodun’s senatorial bid and his handpicked National Assembly candidates — content for deployment across press releases and social media.

“He is converting government appointees into political stakeholders,” one source said. “These people are not representatives of Ogun East. They are representatives of Dapo Abiodun’s payroll.”

The envelopes carry varying sums, with larger denominations reserved for names whose endorsement carries reputational weight. The disbursement has been routed through intermediaries to protect the governor’s deniability.

Authentic stakeholders in the zone are pushing back on one inescapable argument: sacrificing a ranking Senator to satisfy a governor’s personal ambition is an act of self-harm Ogun East cannot afford.

In Nigeria’s legislative structure, senatorial seniority is not symbolic. It translates directly into committee chairmanships, budget influence, federal project attraction, and institutional leverage that no incoming first-term senator — regardless of how recently he governed a state — can replicate from scratch.

“Yayi’s endorsement and the performance that followed was a direct product of ranking,” one party source said. “Committee appointments, federal roads, federal institutions — they flow differently when you have ranking. Abiodun is asking us to trade that for his personal ambition. That is not acceptable.”

The argument bites harder, given that Abiodun’s political base has always been concentrated in Ogun Central. His attempt to capture Ogun East’s entire National Assembly representation — for himself and his loyalists — is not dominance. It is a takeover. And his governorship has built precious little goodwill in the zone to justify it.

The most politically damaging charge is the most direct: that Abiodun’s induced endorsement exercise contradicts President Tinubu’s own preferences for the zone.

“What Abiodun is doing violates the President’s plan for the senatorial district,” a party leader said. “The President understands what a ranking Senator means for a zone. Abiodun is going in the opposite direction for no reason except personal ambition and control.”

The protest from genuine Ogun East leaders is being framed in the corridors where it matters, as a formal notification to Abuja that the governor has stepped outside agreed boundaries. Whether Tinubu moves to discipline that overreach or whether Abiodun’s machine manufactures enough of an outcome to render the question moot is the defining question of the Ogun East political season.

Ranking is not a luxury. It is infrastructure. No envelope changes the arithmetic: a zone that trades a ranking Senator for a term-expired governor reinventing himself as a freshman legislator, surrounded by loyalists he personally installed, will feel that choice in federal allocations, infrastructure deficits, and legislative irrelevance for years.

Abiodun may stage his endorsement show. He may convert enough appointments into applause. But Ogun East stakeholders are clear: the real verdict on who enters the Red Chamber will not be delivered in an envelope at the Adeola Odutola Hall. It will be delivered at the ballot.

This investigation is ongoing. The office of Governor Dapo Abiodun had not responded to requests for comment as of press time.

PoliticsNigerian Customs’ First Female Pilot Earns U.S. Commercial Multi-engine Licence by AnonPoet(op): 2:05pm On Apr 20
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded another milestone as its first female pilot, Superintendent of Customs Nafisat Balogun, has successfully obtained a commercial multi-engine pilot licence in the United States.

The announcement was made in Abuja on Sunday by the Service’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Maiwada, who described the achievement as a significant moment for both Balogun and the organisation.

According to him, Balogun was recently celebrated at a ceremony organised by the Nigeria Customs Technical Hangar Service in recognition of her latest qualification, which further strengthens her pioneering role within the Service.

Balogun is already known as the first female pilot in the Nigeria Customs Service, a field traditionally dominated by men, making her latest certification another historic step in her career progression.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of the Customs Technical Hangar Service, Kuhi Mbaya, praised her journey from cabin crew member to licensed commercial pilot, describing it as a reflection of personal determination and institutional backing.

He noted that her achievement has set a new standard within the Service and encouraged more female officers to pursue specialised aviation and technical roles without hesitation.

Mbaya also commended the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, for supporting gender inclusion and professional development across the agency.

In her remarks, Balogun expressed appreciation to the Customs Service for its support, reaffirming her commitment to duty and pledging continued professionalism and dedication.

Balogun first made history in 2024 when she became the first female pilot in the Service, and her latest accomplishment has further cemented her status as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s customs aviation unit.

PoliticsI’ll Defeat Tinubu In Free, Fair Election — Dino Melaye by AnonPoet(op): 10:43pm On Apr 19

Former Kogi lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye, has said he would defeat President Bola Tinubu in a free and fair election, while clarifying that his focus remains on supporting any candidate that emerges from a coalition platform.

Melaye made the remarks during an interview on Mic On Podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, and uploaded on Sunday, where he criticised the current administration.

“My brother, anybody among those interested in presidency in ADC would do one million times better than Tinubu. They can never be a worse president than Tinubu,” he said.

He expressed confidence that the President could be defeated under a credible electoral process, noting that he could unseat him if he chose to run.

“Me, Dino Melaye. Let’s go on a free and fair election,” he stated.

Melaye went further to emphasise his confidence in his electoral strength, saying, “I will beat him flat… in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

He, however, clarified that his immediate priority is not necessarily his own ambition but the broader goal of unseating the current administration.

“My own for now is that we must send Tinubu away. Whoever emerges from consensus or from a primary, I will support,” he said.

He also alleged that the President may resist a transparent electoral process.

“Let him allow a free and fair contest. And if he doesn’t allow it, we will make him conduct our election. Because he doesn’t want election. He wants to be Kabiyesi. He wants to be Igwe,” he added.

On coalition dynamics, Melaye dismissed discussions around joint tickets, reiterating that the focus remains on national interest.

“I am not interested in any joint ticket or non-joint ticket… we are only interested in rescuing this country,” he said.

Melaye also raised concerns about governance, referencing alleged influence by non-elected individuals, particularly the President’s son, Seyi Tinubu.

“My son will not interfere with governance. My son will not summon DGs of parastatals and agencies of government and ministers,” he said.

He further criticised what he described as the growing visibility and influence of Seyi Tinubu in public affairs, citing activities linked to the City Boy Movement and remarks by Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka.

“Even our respected Wole Soyinka complained about him. You have seen the City Boy Movement and what they are doing,” he said, questioning the role of non-elected actors in governance.

Melaye maintained that opposition figures were already working strategically ahead of future elections, stressing unity as key to achieving their objective.

BusinessBOI, GIZ Seal Deal To Boost MSMEs And Sustainable Growth In Nigeria by AnonPoet(op): 3:55pm On Apr 16
Nigeria’s Bank of Industry (BOI) has entered into a strategic partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to promote sustainable business development and economic growth across the country.

The agreement, signed on April 15, 2026, is designed to support large enterprises as well as Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through targeted interventions. Key focus areas include improved access to finance, entrepreneurship development, capacity building, and expanded market opportunities. The collaboration also prioritises climate finance and renewable energy investments, aligning with global sustainability goals.

Under the framework, both organisations will strengthen the capabilities of BOI’s Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs), enabling them to offer more effective advisory services to businesses. The partnership will also enhance vocational training under the ICSS (Inspire, Create, Start and Scale) programme to boost productivity, workforce quality, and competitiveness among MSMEs.

A major highlight of the initiative is its emphasis on women’s economic empowerment, agribusiness development, and rural enterprise growth. It also seeks to expand investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

As part of the collaboration, BOI will work towards securing accreditation from the Green Climate Fund (GCF), with technical support from GIZ.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, BOI Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Olasupo Olusi, said the partnership aims to bridge the gap between business potential and real growth, particularly for MSMEs that struggle with limited funding and technical expertise. He noted that combining BOI’s financing strength with GIZ’s development experience would help drive job creation, innovation, and sustainable economic expansion.

GIZ Country Director for Nigeria and ECOWAS, Dr. Magnus Wagner, described the agreement as a commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s private sector. He added that the collaboration would focus on key areas such as sustainable finance, renewable energy, entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment, agribusiness, and digital trade, with the goal of delivering measurable impact for businesses and communities.

PoliticsNigeria Drifting Toward Crisis - Peter Obi Slams Tinubu Administration by AnonPoet(op): 12:25pm On Apr 15
Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has raised alarm over Nigeria’s worsening economic outlook, warning that the country may be heading toward a crisis due to the growing debt burden under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking at the national convention of the African Democratic Congress in Abuja, Obi criticised the current administration for increasing borrowing despite removing the petrol subsidy — a move he said was meant to ease fiscal pressure and fund development.

Obi noted that the subsidy removal was justified as a strategy to curb borrowing and redirect resources toward infrastructure and economic growth. However, he expressed concern that borrowing has instead escalated.

“When this government assumed office, it removed fuel subsidy to reduce reliance on debt and channel funds into development,” he said. “But today, borrowing has continued unchecked.”

He claimed that Nigeria’s debt has surged significantly, rising from about ₦87 trillion under the previous administration to nearly ₦200 trillion, representing an increase of over 130 percent. According to him, this has occurred alongside unpaid contractors and limited execution of projects captured in the 2025 budget.

“We now have massive debt, yet little to show in terms of development. This trajectory is unsustainable and points to a looming crisis,” Obi added.

The former Anambra State governor said his remarks were meant to highlight what he described as a troubling economic drift, urging Nigerians to take collective responsibility in addressing the situation.

He also raised concerns about national unity, warning that divisions across the country are deepening and could worsen if not urgently addressed.

“We must come together as one nation. The level of division we see today is dangerous. If this trend continues, it will have serious consequences for both present and future generations,” he said.

On security, Obi claimed that Nigeria’s position in global terrorism rankings has deteriorated since the current administration took office. He warned that the situation could worsen further if decisive action is not taken.

He also pointed to rising poverty levels, stating that the percentage of Nigerians living in poverty has increased sharply, with millions more affected in recent times.

Obi concluded by urging citizens and leaders alike to make sacrifices and work collectively to steer the country away from what he described as a dangerous path.

InvestmentAfristakes Introduces Platform Connecting African SMEs With Diverse Investors by AnonPoet(op): 11:47am On Apr 15
AfriStakes, a capital platform designed to improve the allocation of capital across African businesses, has officially launched in Nigeria. This marks a significant step toward addressing one of the continent’s most persistent challenges; bridging the gap between available capital, investment-ready businesses, and investable opportunities.

The launch comes at a time when thousands of African businesses are actively operating, yet many remain underfunded. While it often appears that limited funding exists, the reality is that structural barriers prevent businesses from accessing the capital that is available. AfriStakes seeks to solve this problem by enabling both businesses and investors, including individuals, angel investors, diaspora investors, entrepreneurs, and institutional players, to prepare, evaluate, and invest across different stages of growth.

Across Nigeria and the wider African market, capital exists in surplus but is largely concentrated in traditional financial instruments such as fixed deposits, public equities, and managed funds. This has left high-potential businesses excluded from meaningful funding. AfriStakes addresses both sides of this challenge by offering a practical, easy-to-use digital platform. Businesses can register online, create and update their profiles with key documents, and list their funding requests for investors to view. Investors, in turn, create profiles that highlight their investment interests and funding capacity, enabling businesses to identify suitable partners. The platform allows both sides to connect, interact, and transact directly, with AfriStakes on standby to provide support such as investment readiness documentation, due diligence, and deal structuring whenever required.

Henry Adebisi, Founder of AfriStakes, noted that in Africa, businesses suffer from low access to capital while investors suffer from low access to investable opportunities. “With AfriStakes, we ensure businesses are properly prepared and positioned for investment, while investors gain the clarity and confidence needed to deploy capital effectively.”

At the core of AfriStakes is a strong emphasis on investment readiness, a critical factor influencing access to capital. Many businesses struggle to raise funding not because they lack value, but because they are not structured in ways that investors can trust and evaluate. AfriStakes provides businesses with a clear framework for structured financial information, compelling investment narratives, realistic financial projections, and investor-facing materials. This ensures businesses are not just seeking capital but are prepared to receive and maximize it.

The platform also facilitates capital flow within Africa from global investors eager to participate in the continent’s growth. By opening participation to a wide investor base, individuals, angel investors, diaspora investors, entrepreneurs, and institutional players, AfriStakes ensures inclusivity and transparency in the investment process.

Henry Adebisi added: “Our vision is to build a system where capital flows more efficiently into real businesses that drive economic change. By positioning both businesses and investors for success, we enable stronger investment decisions and more impactful economic outcomes.”

As Africa’s business landscape continues to expand, the need for structured, transparent, and accessible investment platforms is undeniable. AfriStakes positions itself at the center of this need, creating a bridge between capital and opportunity, and setting a new standard for how investments can be approached across the continent.

About AfriStakes
AfriStakes is a structured capital platform that connects African businesses with investors by improving investment readiness and enabling direct participation in opportunities across different growth stages. The platform supports multiple pathways, including debt financing, equity investment, partnerships, and acquisitions, with a focus on improving how capital is allocated into and within Africa.

EducationJAMB Adjusts 2026 UTME Schedule by AnonPoet(op): 7:17am On Apr 14
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced a revision to the schedule for candidates sitting the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), affecting those assigned to the first session of each exam day.

In a statement released via its official 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, the examination body disclosed that candidates scheduled for the morning session are now expected to arrive at their Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres by 7:00 a.m., instead of the previously announced 6:30 a.m.

Despite the change in arrival time, JAMB confirmed that the examination will still commence at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 10:30 a.m. as earlier scheduled.

According to the board, the UTME will continue to run in four daily sessions from Monday to Friday across accredited CBT centres nationwide. It explained that the adjustment was introduced to improve operational efficiency and ensure a smoother conduct of the examination.

JAMB also noted that the revision was influenced by feedback from candidates and parents, particularly concerns about the difficulties associated with early morning travel, including safety and transportation challenges.

The board further clarified that candidates are not required to reprint their examination slips following the adjustment.

It added that the 2026 UTME is scheduled to take place between Thursday, April 16 and Saturday, April 25, 2026, urging candidates to strictly adhere to the updated timing and arrive promptly to avoid disruptions.

PoliticsUN Deputy Chief Commends Governor Dauda Lawal’s Reforms by AnonPoet(op): 6:28am On Apr 11
In a significant diplomatic endorsement, the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Hajiya Amina Mohammed, on Thursday visited Governor Dauda Lawal in Gusau, Zamfara State, where the governor formally presented his administration’s comprehensive development blueprint aimed at rebuilding the state after years of banditry, economic instability, and governance deficit.

The visit, which lasted several hours, included closed-door talks at the Government House, a brief tour of ongoing infrastructure projects, and a joint press appearance. It marks the highest-level UN visit to the North-Western state in nearly a decade.

Speaking to reporters afterward, the UN Deputy Secretary-General commended Governor Lawal for what she called tangible progress in opening up Zamfara, noting that he had made the state more accessible not just in terms of roads but by creating an enabling environment for investors and development partners. She highlighted ongoing administrative reforms, including the digitization of revenue collection and steps to strengthen the civil service, as encouraging signs that Zamfara is moving toward greater stability, economic growth, and sustainable development.

Her remarks were particularly notable given the state’s recent history, as large parts of Zamfara were until last year no-go zones for international agencies due to banditry, kidnappings, and poor road networks.

During the meeting, Governor Lawal presented a 97-page document titled the Zamfara State Development Plan 2024 to 2028, which his aides have called the “Zamfara Rising” blueprint. The plan is built on four pillars: security and rule of law; economic revival focusing on agriculture and mining reforms; human capital development including rebuilding schools and health centers; and infrastructure with an emphasis on rural roads and digital access.

Governor Lawal said the document is not just a policy paper but a covenant with the people of Zamfara and an open invitation to the world. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with international partners, including the United Nations, to promote development, improve livelihoods, and attract more investment opportunities, adding that the state has moved from survival mode to development mode. Governor Lawal, a former banker who took office in May 2023, inherited a state that the World Bank had ranked among Nigeria’s poorest and least resilient, with his predecessor’s tenure marked by accusations of mismanagement and failed amnesty deals with bandits.

While security remains the greatest challenge and critics note that rural communities still face sporadic attacks, the UN Deputy Secretary-General’s visit signals cautious optimism. She revealed that the UN system will deploy a technical team to Gusau within 30 days to align the state’s development plan with the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for Nigeria, and she hinted at a possible high-level donors’ conference for Zamfara later in 2026 that could attract funding from the World Bank, African Development Bank, and European Union.

Foreign AffairsIran’s Supreme Leader Vows Retaliation Over Father’s Death by AnonPoet(op): 6:11am On Apr 11
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has declared that the country remains resolute in seeking retaliation for the killing of his father, as well as justice for those who lost their lives during the conflict.
In a statement released following the announcement of a ceasefire, Khamenei emphasized that Iran would not back down from its position, insisting that the nation is committed to defending its rights and interests.

He also hinted at significant changes in Iran’s approach to the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that its management could enter a “new phase” amid evolving regional dynamics.

According to him, Iran does not seek further escalation but will continue to stand firm alongside its allies, describing the broader resistance movement as a unified front.

Khamenei further stressed that Iran intends to pursue compensation for damages suffered during the war, including reparations for victims and the wounded, underscoring the country’s determination to hold those responsible accountable.

PoliticsFalgore And Garo Lead Race For Kano Deputy Governor After Gwarzo’s Resignation by AnonPoet(op): 7:22am On Apr 10
The resignation of former Kano State Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has sparked a fresh scramble for the vacant position, with Jibril Isma’il Falgore and Murtala Sule Garo emerging as the leading contenders.

Other potential candidates include Kabiru Ado Lakwaya, former Commissioner for Youths under ex-Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; Hajiya Sa’adatu Salisu Yushau, Kano State Chairperson of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON); and former governorship aspirant Salihu Sagir Takai.

The political shuffle comes amid internal realignments within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano following Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s entry into the party. While party leaders aim to unite ahead of the 2027 governorship election against former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s candidate, competing interests remain a challenge.

Governor Yusuf is reportedly weighing the preferences of key party figures, including former APC National Chairman Ganduje and Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, alongside his own choice. Allegations of undue pressure to influence the selection have surfaced, with a group of concerned citizens writing to President Bola Tinubu warning against the imposition of a candidate facing corruption allegations.

Gwarzo’s resignation came amid impeachment threats over alleged misconduct during his tenure as commissioner. The Assembly dropped proceedings following his departure, but the exit has left a political vacuum and opened opportunities for realigned alliances.

Among the frontrunners, Garo, a former Commissioner for Local Government and 2023 deputy governorship candidate, enjoys strong grassroots support. However, his candidacy is shadowed by ongoing corruption allegations linked to local government funds.

Falgore, Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, is endorsed by pro-government groups and benefits from zoning considerations, as Kano South has not produced a deputy governor since 1999. His supporters argue his appointment would enhance executive-legislative cooperation.

Other potential candidates bring distinct strengths: Lakwaya is known for youth engagement and party mobilisation in Kano North; Sa’adatu Yushau Salisu is a respected grassroots organiser and could become the state’s first female deputy governor; and Takai, a seasoned politician, may serve as a compromise candidate despite past electoral defeats.

Political analysts note that Governor Yusuf faces a delicate balancing act involving regional representation, party interests, and governance considerations as he prepares to fill the critical post ahead of the 2027 elections.

PoliticsTinubu Skipped Lagos Project Commissioning For Security Briefings - Sunday Dare by AnonPoet(op): 12:00am On Apr 10
The Presidency has clarified why Bola Ahmed Tinubu did not personally attend the inauguration of key projects in Lagos, despite being in the state.

Speaking on Wednesday, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, said the President was preoccupied with urgent national assignments, particularly security-related matters.

During an interview on Channels Television, Dare confirmed that Tinubu remained in Lagos but had been heavily engaged with governance responsibilities.

“President Tinubu is in Lagos. Beyond public appearances, he has been deeply involved in state matters,” he said.

Dare explained that the President had been receiving continuous security briefings, especially following recent developments in Plateau State.

“In the last 10 days, particularly since the situation in Jos, the President has been focused on critical updates from the intelligence community. Security issues demand top priority,” he added.

According to him, Tinubu has been closely monitoring events nationwide while working with security agencies and reviewing intelligence reports.

Earlier, the Lagos State Government had announced traffic adjustments ahead of the planned inauguration of major infrastructure projects, which the President was initially scheduled to commission.

Among the projects were the Opebi-Mende Link Bridge and the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle.

Tinubu had arrived in Lagos on April 2 after visiting Plateau State, where he assessed the aftermath of killings in the Angwan Rukuba area of Jos North Local Government Area.

On April 4, he briefly travelled to Ogun State to inaugurate the Gateway Cargo Airport and a Nigeria Customs Service hub before returning to Lagos the same day.

Politics‘Ex-Obidient Movement Member’ Alleges Peter Obi Admitted Losing 2023 Election by AnonPoet(op): 7:05am On Apr 09
Lawrence Okoro, an X user who claims to be a former member of the Obidient Movement, has alleged that Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, once admitted he lost the election.

The presidential election, held on February 25, 2023, was contested by Obi, alongside other candidates, including President Bola Tinubu, who was then the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Obi came third with 6,101,533 votes, behind Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 6,984,520 votes, while Tinubu won the election with 8,794,726 votes.

However, during a press conference in Abuja on March 2, 2023, Obi insisted he won the election and would prove it legally.

However, during a press conference in Abuja on March 2, 2023, Obi insisted he won the election and would prove it legally.

This election will go down as one of the most controversial elections ever conducted in Nigeria,” the former governor of Anambra said.

“The good people of Nigeria have again been robbed. However, I appeal to Nigerians to remain peaceful and law-abiding.

“This is not the end but a beginning… We will explore all legal and peaceful options to reclaim our mandate. We won the election and we will prove it to Nigerians.”

‘OBI ADMITTED HE LOST THE ELECTION’

In a post shared on X on Tuesday, Okoro alleged that the former LP presidential candidate later “openly admitted” he “lost the election” due to the failure of party agents.

“Back when I was still part of the Obidient movement, I attended a closed-door meeting with Peter Obi,” he wrote.

“It was a small, selected group, shortly after the elections, as plans were being made around the ‘All Eyes On The Judiciary’ push.

“During that meeting, he openly admitted that he knew he lost the election, largely due to the absence of party agents across polling units to defend the mandate.”

Okoro said the claim surprised him, prompting him to question Obi further.

“I asked a simple question: ‘Sir, if we lost the election, why are we in court?’” he said.

“The room instantly turned on me. You could feel the outrage. Everyone was ready to shut me down, but he stayed quiet and never gave an answer.”

‘PROVIDE PROOFS TO BACK YOUR CLAIMS’

Reacting to the allegation in an interview with TheCable, Yunusa Tanko, national coordinator of the Obidient Movement, challenged Okoro to provide proof of his claims, insisting that no such meeting ever took place.

“Can he give us proof of that? Because there was never a time we had that particular discussion,” Tanko said.

“We have always maintained that we won the election and that it was manipulated, based on the fact that from the beginning, the results were not uploaded on INEC’s IReV as at when due. We all knew that.

“Instead of results being shown on the IReV in real time, we only saw pictures of human beings.”

PoliticsNigeria Achieves New Oil Export Milestone With Launch Of Cawthorne Crude by AnonPoet(op): 12:27pm On Apr 08
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has marked a major milestone in the country’s oil industry with the successful export of a new crude oil grade, Cawthorne, aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s production capacity and global market presence.

In a statement released by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Andy Odeh, NNPC said the development strengthens the nation’s portfolio of exportable crude grades and signals its commitment to boosting competitiveness in the international energy market.

The newly introduced Cawthorne crude, with an API gravity of 36.4, falls within the light, sweet category—comparable to the highly sought-after Bonny Light—making it particularly attractive for petrol and diesel production.

The maiden export shipment of 950,000 barrels was lifted on Sunday, April 5, 2026, aboard the MT Eburones vessel, bound for the Netherlands before reaching broader international markets. The cargo was dispatched via the Cawthorne Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel, positioned offshore Bonny, Rivers State, enhancing crude evacuation from OML 18 and boosting Nigeria’s operational efficiency and energy security.

According to NNPC, the launch of Cawthorne aligns with the company’s strategy to maximise value from its assets and support the Presidential goal of raising crude production to three million barrels per day and gas output to 12 billion cubic feet per day by 2030. The new blend builds on previous additions such as Nembe and Utapate, reflecting a structured approach to optimising production and expanding Nigeria’s crude offerings.

Commenting on the milestone, NNPC Group Chief Executive Officer Bashir Bayo Ojulari praised the reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, attributing the achievement to government policy, effective stakeholder collaboration, and innovative operational strategies.

“This milestone reflects our commitment to execution, partnership, and value creation. We are moving decisively from resource potential to resource monetisation, ensuring every asset delivers measurable commercial outcomes,” Ojulari stated.

HealthResident Doctors Call Off Strike After Reaching Interim Agreement With FG by AnonPoet(op): 7:19pm On Apr 07
The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its planned nationwide strike after reaching an understanding with the Federal Government of Nigeria on several key demands.
The decision was announced on Tuesday, April 7, following an emergency meeting of the association’s National Executive Council, where members reviewed assurances provided by government representatives.

According to NARD, the suspension comes in response to commitments made by the government to address critical issues affecting resident doctors, particularly the payment of outstanding salaries and allowances, as well as improvements in overall welfare.

The association noted that progress recorded during negotiations influenced its decision to give the dialogue process more time. Among the areas of focus are the settlement of salary arrears, payment of hazard allowances, and resolving concerns related to the Medical Residency Training Fund.

However, NARD clarified that while the strike has been suspended, the underlying issues have not been fully resolved. It added that the Federal Government has shown a renewed commitment to tackling the concerns that led to the planned industrial action.

The doctors emphasized that they will continue to monitor developments closely as discussions with the government progress.
