@ yield yes it's true he has two other baby mommas but ther are rumors he has more but they haven't been confirmed True it can be both ways but they way the article put it seemed weird to me but as you said as long as 2Face is there for the daughter that's what is important |
latest celebrity gossip NASTY PICTURES OF A NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS ![]() http://e247mag.com/e247magazine/?p=488#comment-40 |
@zomby actually Aliko is still number one, so I don't know why adenuga will be number one to you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_billionaires |
@ yield wow I never knew she was in 2Face video 'African Queen', but after watching the video there is no doubt it is her. You are right though her cute daughter looks like 2Face not her though but when I read the article it feels like she is in denial about 2Face. Yeah he is the father of her daughter which is understandable but accompanying your ex to a premiere as if they're a couple(which they are not) for example is silly. Their daughter should be their only connection after that they should move on with their lives, especially her. The man has many baby mommas already, they both seem foolish to me when it comes to their personal lives. |
at least she is not breaking up a marriage again |
@blackchief true, but the reason there is no list about the top ten wealthy Nollywood actors is because there hasn't been one done yet, why nobody has researched nollywood actors yet but researched nollywood actresses is weird to me. In my opinion if a list is ever done I suspect Jim iyke and Ramsey Noauh would be in it. I read some where a year ago from a forum site that both these actors were involved with endorsements some how but it maybe rumors, so I don't know |
@doublekay I agree, At first I was surprised their were many wealthy nollywood actresses but after that I was expecting them to have more money then that but at least they are starting some where(but most of their money is from endorsements now), but I must you are right that musicians in nigeria like D'banj, 2Face, P-Square are much more wealthier then nollywood actresses/actors because of concerts and endorsements. http://showbizxklusivs..com/2011/04/nollywood-stars-land-endorsement-deal.html |
off topic but please check out this thread about must have items Nigerian women should have in their closet: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-735166.0.html |
@ don Campos you are right Juliet Ibraheim is married and is pregnant(but she must have had her baby already or this month of August 2011 she will be having her baby) but her marriage was very low profile from what I heard so nobody knew about it, sources: http://www.ghananewsnow.com/2010/11/17/juliet-ibrahim-pregnant/ http://www.julietibrahim.com/?p=News&id=97 her and her husband https://www.ghananewsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/477870416_517969.jpg |
@basics007 thank you, I'm a female by the way |
@don Campos I agree with your assessment, it is weird that these ladies are still single, especially Lillian Bach, Genevive Nnaji, Nadia Buari, Rita dominic. At one point you make the assumption that it's either they don't want to settle down, men are intimidated to approach them, or they are having bad luck in finding the one for them, and etc. Plus in Nigerian culture & community, it makes it harder for women to find a man to get married as they get older, it's not like the western world like how Madonna, Demi Moore and etc are. |
What are your thoughts |
@ dlox147 You are right I did forget about Onyeka's one love & wait for me with sunny ade video and I'm a fan of the song and video, I'm going to add to the list, thanks for reminding me |
@ don_campos well I don't know the marital status of all Nollywood/Ghollywood actresses but I know the marital status of some though (especially from the list) and their are some single ones LOL: Single Nollywood/Ghollywood actresses Genevieve Nnaji (but she has a daughter though) Yvonne Okoro Lillian Bach Nadia Buari ?(some say she is married or dating famous Ghanian soccer player Micheal Essien and some say she broke up with him and is single) Tonto Dikeh Chelsea Ada Ezericha Yvonne Nelson Rita Dominic Martha Ankomah |
@ Basics007 thank you, as I said its only opinion and everybody is free to add what they think is the top 20 Nigerian Timeless music videos but from what I have seen Babe decided to attack my opinion instead of making her own list, that they whole thread went side ways |
@ Iamfab Yes, Sana Kanu is beautiful and acts soley in Nollywood movies but she is a newbie, not really known in Nollywood yet, she is not a top nollywood actress yet or in the status of the top ten beautiful Nollywood actresses list so I give her a few years and see where she is before she is dubbed that status but I know the only non-nigerian I see so far in a few years being in the top 10 most beautiful Nollywood actress list is Jackie Appiah; and if yvonne okoro and Sana kanu follow Jackie's steps they may end up in that list many years to come. |
@ rokiatu nice list and all those women are beautiful but not all of them are nollywood actresses or top nollywood actresses. Yvonne Okoro is a top ghollywood actress not a top Nollywood actress, she is not very known in Nollywood(or has really done any nollywood movies), so I wouldn't call her a nollywood actress & Yvonne Nelson is not one of the top actresses in Nollywood today even though she has been acting gradually in Nollywood movies, but she is more of a top Ghollywood actress then nollywood actress. The only two I can let slide is Nadia Buari and Jackie Appiah but Nadia hasn't been in many Nollywood movies lately; so that leaves Jackie Appiah who has been voted Nigeria's favorite Ghanian actress and she is the only one I can see potentially to be in the list in a few years, if she continues what she is doing in Nollywood. So Yvonne Okoro and Yvonne Nelson don't count in that list. |
When I saw the list I was surprised by some in the list but I am happy for them, here is the list: 1. Are you surprised to see monolisa and Mercy in the list? Are you surprised Omotola is at the number she is in the list? what is your thoughts about everybody in the list? http://allafrica.com/stories/201009270858.html |
@ Iyineda Good top 3 list |
@londonlov I'm not saying chike ike is ugly because she is not, however she isn't in the league of Genevieve, Lillian, and etc when it comes to beauty; but as a actress she doesn't stand out like other Nollywood actress out today as well, like Patience, genevieve, Funke Akindele, and etc. I must add though that if she is your top ten then that's ok, she's your top ten choice. its not a crime you picked her |
@babe when I say timeless, I mean a video that will still be remembered decades or more from now. Examples: P-sqaure- no one like you has reached more then 7 million views, that the video has its own image no body will forget and that song has been out how many years now and has beaten their recent music as well that is timeless Usuofia-I go chop your dollar video is a 419 theme song, it has been mentioned even by ABC news in a 419 documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0e-pPfITts. The video made the song actually into its full potential, and since 419 will for the time being will always be a problem in Nigeria for many decades to come, the song and video is timeless. Lagbaja- Skentele skontolo, konko below, sobolation and etc are timeless videos. as you said skentele is timeless and you know why but konko below video came out way before his skentele music video, D'banj and many singers were out, and is still talked about and popular, nobody can repeat some of the scenes and jokes he said about how the Oyibo were dancing. Never far away video was a authentic video because it had a storyline that was so simple but good, Sobolation will be remembered over D'banj's Mr. Endowed video(a video that has no class and seems to be no different from african american videos I have seen) many years later, and when it comes from Lagbaja well, nobody can beat him as a artist because his music and videos are always unique, authentic and just different(videos like that always stay timeless). these videos are still talked about, the video never far away was featured many years later in the nollywood movie high blood pressure(starring lillian bach) 2Face- That video is timeless because the song it's attached to is timeless, its been out forever(way before D'banj and P-sqaures hit song music videos), many people love the video because it shows authentic african queens to a timeless african queen song. Plus after all that no video or song from 2face after that ever matched the success of african queens song and video, that's timeless to me. Baba jowo from OGD allstars- the video is so simple but intimate and fun, and with that song it's wonderful but the video help liven the song actually. That video will still be watched many years from now without complaint, especially since people will remember the music video where the people who sang the song are from nollywood English and Yoruba actors/actresses collaborating together( I haven't seen any other collaboration between the Yoruba and English nollywood world like that before) Jesse king- MUmmy, I have heard this song sung in many Nigerian parties(specifically Yoruba) for many years in weddings and parties giving tribute to mothers, and the video help boast the song to its success, its a video that's timeless because the video's theme was well made and talks about a person that will always be timeless=MOTHERS Ayo- life is real, Ayo is a international star but morely in Europe though not America, nonetheless not only is that song beautiful her video was excellent but simple because it showed Authentic images of Lagos, that was beautiful done and will always be remembered. that video helped bring out what she was saying in her song and is still lasting and consider one of her number one songs and music videos. To tell you the truth, I remember the video more then the song because the video was so unique, so that's a timeless video. D'banj suddenly & wande Coal's you bad- these men are bringing out good songs currently but these video's are the most authentic from them, good quality, and video's people will still watch over some of their other songs. If you noticed I didn't put bumper to bumper video when the song is much more better then you bad but the you bad video was more authentic because it was nicely done in a beach house by the beach in Nigeria, it showed the beauty of Nigeria, that video helped the song in my opinion and will be the video that people remember from wande coal many years from now whether he still singing or not(unless he brings out something better); D'banj's suddenly is a video that will always be remembered with D'banj many years to come, the song was good but that video helped the song, and another thing that makes it good was for the fact that I have heard many say this about this video that the females all featured in the video were all Black women, they were Nigerian and beautiful. Many of the people who have made a point about this were not Nigerian but black diasporians because they are used to the reverse in the western world(now I know 99% of Nigerian videos out now, all the women shown are black african/Nigerian women but this video is one of the best that high-lighted it, especially hip-hop Nigerian video). Bracket- remember(yori yori remix)- the video was to a remix of a popular song yori yori, a song people won't forget but the problem is this video will be remembered over the video of the original song yori yori, many years to come. I can go on and on but you get what I am saying, now when it comes to the video's you mentioned well the songs are good but Eldee" one day" video wasn't as memorable but the message was strong(Ota mi, seems like the video so far people will remember many years from now), MI's-safe video was good but it seemed similar to some other video's that will it stand out from the crown but I do see sound of Sultants- "2010" video being timeless now as I said this is just my opinion, if you feel they aren't timeless then that's ok but based on the history of these music videos and what i hear they will be talked about many decades from now |
I haven't seen a list like this yet, and I was surprised at first that a list like this hasn't exist yet, especially since some Nigerian videos out today are not that good, its either quality, substance or whatever thats the problem; and what makes it sad is sometimes these videos have good songs but the video doesn't do these songs no justice. So I compiled the top 20 video's I have seen so far over the years that in my opinion was just GOOD when it comes to quality and etc(I must add I am not talking about the top music, I'm talking soley about the video but if you noticed all these videos are of good songs), here's the list: TOP 20 TIMELESS NIGERIAN VIDEOS, no particular order 1. @ oyibogab that list is not in any particular order, Genevieve just happen to be the first written in the list but if you want Omotola to be the first in the list like number one, why not? |
