So he is an as§hole for saying what is, hypothetically, on every guys mind? it is true that men are visual creatures. can easily be activated by a little flagrant gesture, dressing, verbal and non verbal cues from the female folks. In my opinion, technology is the major catalyst for the "metrosexual" attitude of teenagers especially the females. These girls spend 100 hours in a week in the front of a tv, YouTube during the day and Mobile phones at night. their values will be affected in that way. It is also true that girls(preteens and teens) develop faster nowadays than some of their elder sisters. Must be the " global warming" or something. my younger sister who is just 16 is already "developed". Infact! she looks more matured than my twin sister who is in her early twenties.. My point is that, Parents should control the period their kids are exposed to mass media. it is better if they do not buy a PDA mobile device for these kids at all. very important... |
czarr:Yea! it has. I believe you read the whole thing and absorbed some of the points. if not, you must have briefly perused the bolded. I also believe that you have/ already imbibed some of these points already. Thanks for dropping by. have fun. |
[See what women have been hiding from you/b] So welcome! I ain't gonna bullshît you on anything. Since I am cork sure your are here for information. so here it goes: [b]1. First and foremost, a man needs to embrace himself as a man. I’m not big on the whole “celebrate yourself” theme that women buy into but in a sense, if you are a man, celebrate the fact that you are a man. Shît, women get to celebrate being fat, why not celebrate being a man. But seriously, a guy needs to accept the fact that he is a man and be proud of it. We are a part of a brotherhood that women will never understand and for as much as society will try to shit on men and blame us for the world’s evil, men have done awesome things that refuse to be silenced. We are the leaders on earth, not women. We need to embrace that role. 2. A man should seek wisdom and understanding. King Solomon wrote an entire collection of Hebrew poetry based upon wisdom and how it should be one of the chief aims of a man. Wisdom and understanding open the heart of a man to know things about life which remains shut to a man that scoffs at learning. I’m not suggesting that a guy ought to know everything but he ought to know how to live his life intelligently, and to be at peace. 3. Another very important quality that I could write so much on is a man’s ability to recognize and master his fear. By master I don’t mean to totally overcome it, because I don’t believe it is necessary to nor do I believe overcoming fear should be the goal. By mastering fear, I mean he recognizes the fears that he has and does business with those fears to minimize or deaden the impact those fears have upon him…especially with respect to making decisions. A man who recognizes his fears and takes action in spite of his fears, gains an incredible understanding of himself that other men will never know. 4. A quality that is very near and dear to me is humility. I have great respect for a man with humility. Humility isn’t “I’m a piece of shit” or “I’m not good enough.” Humility is a right counterbalance between confidence in yourself and your abilities, coupled with the recognition that as a human being you are flawed. Every man has limits and weaknesses. Every man has skills and strengths. When a man only ever focuses on his skills and strengths and minimizes his weaknesses and flaws, he becomes stunted in his growth as a person. I’m not saying that we need to be looking for our weaknesses or focus on what they are, because we don’t have to do that. Life has a way of bringing those issues to the surface for us, showing us what is lacking. It’s in those spots where we have a decision to make: ignore it or face it. And once a man comes to terms with those weaknesses, he doesn’t have to hide anymore from the fact that he has them. He can then live life with the knowledge that he isn’t perfect and grow to accept that. Guys that try too hard to prove themselves only prove that they are scared of who they are. 5. A man should look out for others. I know there are lots of people out there to be avoided but there are people out there who can benefit from your experience and wisdom. Giving to others does two things: it reinforces my experiences as being important and provides validation to me that my life is important. I’m not just here for myself but I am here to serve others. A good man shares what he knows with others and isn’t selfish. culled from an online self improvement community.. Let's take this gem to the surface[ front page] cc: ishi and other mods.. |
GodMode:Thanks bro..I appreciate your piece of advice |
OP..you have at most three years left if you are an agricultural science student but about two years as a science and social science student. Anyways, I will advise you to do the best that you can to enjoy the institution. it is a matter of time. I have even forgotten about Bowen university. it could be boring sometimes but it is left to you to have fun in any way you can. I really don't care about the opinions of those who are bad mouthing the institution saying it is "a nursery/primary school or "glorified secondary school". Who cares! As small as it is, the institution is known for high academic standard. Bowen Graduates are all over the world making exploits. Right now, I am about to finish my masters program, register for another and I am in my early twenties. I believe that the end surely justifies the means.. cheers bro! |
I couldn't stop the smile that appeared on my face when I read all you wrote up there because I can relate with some of them. They were what I had to deal with for four years..I graduated in 2011/viable set. is it the night paroles@ laosebikan hall or Nlt and the delicious fried rice at munches. The annoying long queue at Skye bank atm machine is even better compared to the one at the tap at boys hostel. And usually on Sunday, after church service, the small shopping complex at the back of the boys hostel (p.s I think there is a new one now close to the faculty of agriculture) is usually "overflooded" because they had and sold the best "moin moin" in school. Bowen University had notorious students who were infamous for many nefarious activities. A student, who had psychological problems, has burgled the vault of sterling Bank and carted away with a lot of money in a "Ghana must go" bag. Another punched a school staff in the face and beat him up. He was sent to OYO to cool his heels. There are so many of them which served as talking points and gossip for students. lest I forget, a girl was gangbänged by many guys during summer school. Somehow, the management got to know and stormed the guys hostel on a Sunday morning. I was told that all the guys in the hostel were asked to form a queue and the so called girl started picking the guys that were responsible. it was really crazy and quite unfortunate that the guys involved were final year students. Most of them were expelled.. You brought me memories and I savour the good experiences that I had there even though there are a lot of bad eggs there |
The baby boy is growing..I have seen the picture on the left some years back on nairaland by a poster who said the baby looks like a "tadpole"..I guess the poster will be surprised to find out that the young boy is now handsome and healthy..Kudos to his parents.. |
CharlesNneji1:Of course, you are Damn right.. I have nothing against you as a person. Whenever you use terminologies like SHIT TESTS, LMR, HB, AFC, ALPHA MALE and the likes, probably in subsequent posts, i will so much appreciate it if you acknowledge the originators of the words just like your biology teacher who made appropriate references where possible..and I wanna add that the website I added in an earlier post is not mine.. have a beautiful afternoon bro! |

It is pertinent and necessary to provide evidence as to claims of Buhari's suitability for 2015. From available evidence, though not comprehensive but convincing, Buhari was a former head of state. The major highlights of his regime were . The suspension of the 1979 Constitution in January 1984. . The deportation of illegal aliens on the 14th of April, 1984 and 9th of August, 1985 respectively. . The clamp down on economic saboteurs with the legal backing of the Miscellaneous Offences Decree No. 20 of 1984. . The freezing of accounts of political parties and corrupt ex-political office holders in the Second Republic in 1984. . And most especially the war against indiscipline policy which we all know among others. ....................................................................... I am not extolling his administration but I am looking at the popularity, goodwill, and support he has garnered especially with our old folks who believe that discipline and accountability is the backdrop of good governance and democracy. On the other hand, Nigerian youths are clamouring for efficiency, flexibility, job creation and opportunities, and sustainable development. They are looking up to those that are capable of doing these. More so, when the issue of resource control is staring eat us in the face. ideally, most Nigerian youths are clamouring for state independence or what is known as confederalism. My point is not the viability of the candidate presented by APC because as far as I am concerned, they are not a very strong opposition at the federal level. However, things might change in about a decade. I am in support of confederation and state control. This is what I believe can raise the standard of a common Nigerian. GOD BLESS US! WE WILL GET THERE!! |
![]() come to think of it! Guys! what is the purpose of this thread? Going by the reasons the thread maker listed, I am of the opinion that a man with pride glows from within to without, sharing and lighting up everywhere with his energy. A man with pride is the Alpha male, the chicks man! Goddamit! simply put! He doesn't want chicks but chicks need him. Yes! that is an ideal man with pride in this regards! |
A wise man summed it up like this: Use, do not abuse... neither abstinence nor excess ever renders man happy. Voltaire |
JUST AN OBSERVATION People will complain about how f**lish Andy is, but his erroneous f**lish thread has garnered more than 3000 views. This no of views are more than some supposedly reasonable threads. Worst still, Nlanders dont make reasonable contributions to the issues Andy brings to light but expletives and tongue lashings. So it got me thinking if Andy or the viewers are f**ls or that there is an ounce of wisdom in f**lishness too!!! |
The society can not judge them because the society is responsible for their outcome. Boyhood, manhood, and fatherhood are all fleeting phases of a man's physical, social and spiritual development. Africans tend to grapple with the web of deep seated customs and family traditions and culture which emphasize a complete and comprehensive training of the child-male or female. They are oblivious of the fact that a child NEVER acquires a perfect training. Come to think of it, everybody have different personalities, dispositions, temperament and identities which can never be molded into a desired state which is relativeband quite subjective too within a period of 50 years by the parents. Therefore, any interaction or relationship between people is the sum of their habits, ambitions, regrets, prospects, failures among others. Relationships are said to be successful or meaningful when a common ground has been reached and sustained between parties. Men who impregnate women at will and never settle down have not discovered the supposed common ground, Men who seem to be irresponsible are entangled in bigger battles which is quite more occupying than their families. The best virtues of Fatherhood are not those taught by the society alone but by hard knocks in experience department. A man knows how to love his kids when one of them dies through an illness or parental carelessness. Men that cannot father a child the natural way will have an unusual affection for other's kids. And because we do not always learn, we finally encounter a dilemma that what makes an irresponsible father responsible is what makes a responsible father irresponsible too! |
Let us consider the issue carefully! Firstly, the society has moved from matriachy to patriachy a very long time ago. matriachy reduced men's roles to only domestic duties. I mean, men swept the floor, cooked the food, manages the home in most of the old civilizations in South America and carribeans. Women, with hewn animal skin and intricate labels on their shoulders, go to war to defend or get more land and other resources while the men with hairy chests cheer them on. That was a period when Men were taught to grab their bulls by the horn. Consequently, the arrival of patriachy brought about a change in the roles played by both sexes in the society. I guess Men finally realized their desires and collective responsibilities, by grabbing their bulls at the f^vkn balls!! Hence, the society has experienced, without prejudice and exaggeration, positive developments, transformations and a modern civilization. Secondly, men r naturally egoistic and aggressive. We are hunters. The female folks are naturally soft, fragile and passive! they are the prey. We ought to hunt and dominate them. That is our mission. So if a girl ask a man out or something, it no longer becomes an ethical, gender equality, or critical aspersion questions on its right or wrong. It is a golden opportunity for the hunter to grab its prey after it had willingly submitted to the hunter's rigourous power. In conclusion, Men should follow the instructions carved on the walls of the Persian extant empire, kept in the secret domes and hallways of Renaisance chapels, spoken in the metaphors of the ancient Roman and contemporary scholars. The message is as old as ever and suitably meets the rapid changes experienced by men and women. The message is simple: GRAB YOUR BULLS(relationships, faith, achievements, success, setbacks)BY THE BALLS!!!! If she asked u out and u are interested, find a way to dominate her. Dont EVER give her the control stick. and do all these things in a respectable manner too so u wont hurt her feelings! |
*PREAMBLE* I dont know how to do this. I mean, welcoming everybody and blah blah blah just like other writers. I respect them, tho, that is not how I roll. What I cant say is that u will find meanings and similar experiences in my random musings, I am not inspired by anyone, a social movement or revolution, a popular domestic, political and economic event. Not even my f^vkn books and stuffs motivated me to start anything like this. I do not see myself as an artist but then I am sure I will craft a solid identity of meanings in your minds and then you will discover what true art and my quiet inspiration is. Anyone may barge in on this thread anytime and find peace or deeper understanding. It is my desire that this baby thread will transform into a haven of peace and sanctuary for eager readers. And of course, I appreciate substantive and critical appraisal from anyone and everyone. And finally! I want to thank God for creating me as a weird and often times controversial dude. My thanks also goes to the owner of Nairaland and his/her team. And also my samsung duos android device, samsung nerds and other ICT geeks around the world. You guys have made communicating very easy and abstract. With that said, I want you all to watch out for this space because I will be updating soon!.. |
