According to Beevor, estimates of rape victims from Berlin’s two main hospitals ranged from 95,000 to 130,000. One doctor calculated that out of approximately 100,000 women raped in Berlin, roughly 10,000 died as a result. Mostly from suicide. The death rate was thought to have been much higher among the 1.4 million estimated victims in East Prussia, Pomerania and Silesia. “Altogether at least two million German women are thought to have been raped,” Beevor concludes, “and a substantial minority, if not a majority, appear to have suffered multiple rape.” (See here) Note that we are talking about 2 million different women being raped, not about two million rapes. Given that women were often raped several times a day—sometimes 60-70 times according to one authority—the total number of rapes could well have numbered over 20 million. Since the Red Army included a substantial number of Jews in it, many in supervisory positions, there appears to have been an unwritten rule that Jewish women should be exempt from rape. After all, the Bolshevik regime whose forces were carrying out most of these rapes was known to be an essentially Jewish regime, with the cheka or secret police and other top government functionaries being predominantly Jewish. There is a curious account, however, of one German Jewess being raped by Soviet troops. When this was pointed out to the rapists as some kind of anomaly — “Hey, don’t rape her, she’s Jewish!” — the brutalized soldiers are reported to have sneered, “So what? A woman is a woman. Frau ist Frau.” Here are some relevant facts which the reader might wish to bear in mind when reading JA Sexton’s chilling review of Goodrich’s Hellstorm that follows in Part 2 of this article: These acts of sexual violence against German women, described by Beevor as “the greatest phenomenon of mass rape in history,” took place mostly in 1944-1945 as the Western Allies and the Red Army fought their way into the Third Reich. They began in October 1944 and reached their climax in 1945, continuing until the winter of 1947-1948. |

Part 1: The Devil’s Cauldron by Lasha Darkmoon One German woman came to her priest and broke down in tears. “Father, I can’t go on living! Thirty of them raped me last night.” (Goodrich, p.158).The German clergy were only too aware of the rape and mass murder of Catholic nuns, many of them bedridden geriatric women. One of these priests writes in his diary: “The girls, women and nuns were raped incessantly for hours on end, the soldiers standing in queues, the officers at the head of the queues, in front of their victims. The same dreadful scenes were enacted in the hospitals, homes for the aged, and other such institutions. Even nuns who were seventy and eighty years old and were ill and bedridden were raped and ill-treated by these barbarians. (Ibid. p.84) The Americans and the Brits knew all these atrocities were going on but did nothing to stop them. They stood by and saw it all happening, cruel accomplices to crime. Indeed, many of them joined in the bloodbath of sadistic sexuality: Americans, Brits, French, and French Moroccans in particular. “Staggered by what he had seen and heard, a German officer tried desperately to make sense of the disaster; to understand the minds of men ‘who find . . . pleasure in raping the same woman over and over, dozens of times, even while other women are standing near.’” (Ibid. p.93) Inflicting savage sex wounds on German women, including their children in the presence of their parents, was one the perks of war for these coldhearted killers. “Our fellows were so sex-starved,” a Soviet major told a British journalist at the time, “that they often raped old women of sixty, seventy or even eighty — much to these grandmothers’ surprise, if not downright delight.” This cynical throwaway comment is indicative of the surreal atmosphere of war fever that possessed so many otherwise sane and well-balanced people at that time: the bizarre idea that an 80-year-old German grandmother should actually be flattered and pleased to be raped. Several German women recorded how even Soviet servicewomen watched and laughed while they were being gang-raped. While the idea that the Russians were largely to blame for this orgy of mass rape cannot be denied, the overall picture is more nuanced. “There were Russian freebooters who drank and raped quite shamelessly,” British historian Anthony Beevor tells us, “but there were also idealistic, austere communists and members of the Russian intelligentsia who were appalled by such behaviour.” “Beria and Stalin, back in Moscow, knew perfectly well what was going on from a number of detailed reports….Marshal Rokossovsky issued order No 006 in an attempt to direct “the feelings of hatred at fighting the enemy on the battlefield.” It appears to have had little effect. The commander of one rifle division is said to have “personally shot a lieutenant who was lining up a group of his men before a German woman spreadeagled on the ground”. But either officers were involved themselves, or the lack of discipline made it too dangerous to restore order over drunken soldiers armed with submachine guns.” — Historian Anthony Beevor, acclaimed author of “Berlin: The Downfall 1945.” Drink of every variety, Beevor discloses, including dangerous chemicals seized from laboratories and workshops, was a major factor in the violence. “It seems as if Soviet soldiers needed alcoholic courage to attack a woman. But then, all too often, they drank too much and, unable to complete the act, used the bottle instead with appalling effect. A number of victims were mutilated obscenely.” |

FarahAideed:Buhari has no certificate. If he had submitted either the fake one issued by his purported principal or the fake attestation issued to him by WAEC, that would have exposed him as a fraud. This is why he refused to include it in INEC form and went with his same perjury in the form of an affidavit. If he had submitted any of those forgeries, Cambridge would have been forced to authenticate the certificate. The law says to be eligible to contest one must be educated up to secondary school level. To attain secondary school level you must possess a WAEC or its equivalent certification. Or can you claim to be a university graduate without gaining a bachelor's degree? Let me rephrase : Does merely enrolling in a university makes one a graduate of that university? You should know that to attain a secondary school level education one must at least be qualified to sit and write the secondary school leavers' certificate. Buhari never wrote WAEC. Nobody is denying he attended secondary school but that he never fulfilled the conditions to be certified as being educated up to secondary school level. The promissory note written to the Army board by his then principal is enough proof that buhari never presented at time of recruitment any WAEC certificate. We also do know that Buhari and a lot of northern Muslim officers in his class at the Army College were directly recruited by Ahmadu Bello to fill the northern quota.
