If you take time to understand the Fulani man you will know the Fulani man. Before the Fulani settles anywhere he will first have cattle graze the place in order to understand the landscape, this is why you will see Fulani sleeping in the bush with cattle, this is to gauge the land to see if anyone has a claim. If no one comes to ask them to leave they know that this land is open land as an owner would not allow cows and strangers to be sleeping there. Common sense.

Once it becomes apparent that no one has come to claim the land, a more permanent structure will be setup and others will know that they too can setup. Once the men have setup, women and children can then begin to show up, and a thriving community can emerge. So to say that they are taking people's land is simply not true.

The problem is that only one side is discussed online, many northerners are not in these spaces to educate Nigerians on all these things.

We need more understanding in this country. Please stop allowing propaganda from those who want to break our nation, we are brothers and we all can live in any part of this country.

Also, the Fulani man is a global man, anywhere he goes and it is good, will be home. The Fulani is detribalized and one of the most tolerant of other's cultures, to the point where Fulani will even leave their mother tongue and use the language of the host communities. Fulani believe in becoming "one" with the hosts.

So, many Fulani came into the country from Sahel not looking for housing but land to call their own. This is why some occupy the bush, because from there they will be left alone to develop and create a community far enough away from the indigenes in order to not cause trouble. Fulani are peace loving.

This is why the bush is important, it is free of population and fertile, so we can create new communities. However, recently these communities have come under attack and Fulani have been retaliating. All the Fulani want is to be left alone, and for peace to reign.

Lastly, those land were unoccupied, no one cared about them until Fulani began to settle them, then all of a sudden tribalism reared its ugly head. If they were Yoruba they wouldn't have been bothered. But simply due to the mere fact that they are Fulani, they are public enemy number one.

This is not right, and we cannot continue like this. The goat cannot be pushed to the wall. Let's seek peace and allow everyone to live, work and establish themselves in the way they see best.

You see where you pple are wrong? The worst part is that you pple don't want to learn or change ur way of thinking. You can't come into host communities, and impose ur own way of life on them.

Lemme tell you now, that all bushes have owners. The forests belong to pple in the community and is a land waiting to b developed when d owners deem fit. The only reason the ppl in the community would enter d said forest is if they want to hunt, cut timber or sell a portion of the land.

So imagine when the owner of an acre of land in the forest, come into his land one day to do any of the aforementioned, and meet a whole bunch of fulani people making permanent structures in his land jus because no one saw them there early enough to tell them to leave.

You made a reference that if it were yorubas doing what fulani are doing, they'd be left alone...but that is a big lie. Becos first, yorubas can never bring derself that low to live in a forest. Secondly no indigenous Nigerian, does such a thing. People rent houses, come out in the open, socialize. Nd when they come to a host community, they take permission from their hosts b4 doing anything.

You talking about understanding the fulani, but it is a two-way thing.

Fulani shouldn't bring their own way of life and force it on their hosts and expect them to understand, when they themselves do not care to understand the hosts.

Times are changing, The world is moving forward and every tribe who is peace loving should move along with it, and that means, making adjustments to ur way of life, when you come to host communities. Because they are ur hosts, and you ppl are the guests.

This is why we have to be careful because the Fulani are ready and willing to defend themselves from infringements on their freedoms to life and livelihood. We all just need peace.

Why should fulani be staying in the forest in this 21st century without permission or payment for it? Are d forests not people's lands? Why not come out nd buy or rent lands like normal people? You telling me that they attack based on reprisals but we see them trampling on people's farmlands and destroying their crops. When any farmer complains, they threaten or kill them. Who doesn't know the harm the fulani has done in Nigeria?

Just like ur ppl defend themselves, southerners will also defend themselves. Nobody has the monopoly of violence.
