lhordspy: The truth is even if Tinubu went for a POPE as running mate, people like you will never vote for him.
The more reasons why you guys were clamouring for a weaker Yemi osinbajo, so it can be an easy walkover for your candidate. An osinbajo that is political un-influential, a political nobody before Tinubu picked him up, dust him, and threw him into the national political framework. Without, structure of a political party, Osinbajo can not win a local government election on his own. Even better still, with a very solid poliitical structure.
I dont get the wailing and crying, APC primary election was conducted, broadcasted on national TVs, streamed on different platform, witness by Nigerians, UN,AU,ECOWAS observers, EFCC, ICPC, CUPP, SERAP and many more. Delegations across all states voted, the majority votes won, Asiwaju won not Osinbajo, not Amaechi, not Ahmed lawal.
He was faced with a daunting task to pick a running mate, he went for competence, structure, strategy, above all political influence and popularity(which is a key factor in voters influence and vote driving) in the person of Shetimma. It is all about strategy bro, elections are not won by cheap emotional card you are playing here nor pity-party, majority votes dictate alot in winning. And he went for it.
Can you please list any Northern Christian he could have gone for?
Babachir lawal and yakubu dogara: This two are the most selfish, backstabbing, green-snake politician. They are not to be trusted. Just look at them going around instigating religious divison all around. Imagine having any of this two as vice-president of a country, it would be a disaster. The country would be divided along religious line if they had any issue with the president. They are both cry cry babies.
Lalong: He is relatively unknown in the deep Northern part. Infact outside his state. He doesnt have or hold any significant political influence.
Boss mustapha: same with osinbajo, he is just lucky babachir lawal was sacked as SGf on account of corruption. If not, we wont have known him. He might definitely just rot as the MD of waterBoard he is before he was appointed SGF.
This guys are not regular politicians, they are not hardcore like shetimma... It is nobody's fault Northern christians dont get themselves involve much in politics outside their states like their muslim counterpart.
It is nobody's fault brother.
Big lesson here: Dont try pleasing people who will never support you, while discarding a winning strategy. Just look at the drivel this one is spewing? I blame the f00lish Christians, especially from the South West supporting Thi.ef.nu.bu for this brazen insult meted to Christendom. ...but you have my word, it shall not stand. Only neophytes would be surprised at happenings in the APC. Smart people with foresight knew from the outset (since 2014) what the APC represents - an assemblage of Janj.aw.eed-esque radical Islamists using politics to entrench religious dominance. ...and fortunately for them, they have a substantial population of witless Christians aiding their sinister plot.
Good governance and improved welfare for the citizenry isn't an imperative for them, as long as they manage to install a Muslim president.

It’s also the South East’s turn in 2023 and fortunately Peter Obi ticks all boxes - young, intelligent, and with probity. It is NOT the turn of the south West just yet, given that OBJ had 8years and Osinbajo is on the verge of doing 8 years as Number 2 while the Igbos are yet to lead. Demonstrate your commitment to equity, fairness and Southern unity by eschewing your religious/ethnic sentiment and rallying around him for 2023. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. …but if your quest for Southern unity is for promotion of Thi.ef.nubu’s greed-driven ambition, then you’re wasting your time my friend. I’m all for Southern unity but those who betrayed and traded off the region all for their own selfish ambition must never be rewarded with leadership. Tgey should go and rest with their greed while we build the Nigeria of our dreams where petty religion/ethnic consideration for leadership will be jettisoned. |

muykem: It's between Peter Obi and Tinubu. Northerner has ruled for 45years and South 17years since independent. In 2015, Northerners came together irrespective of political parties affiliations and brought Buhari. Any southerner supporting Atiku will remain slave from one generation to another. Who is the bigger villain/traitor - a Southerner PLANNING TO support/vote a Northern Atiku or a Southerner WHO HAS ALREADY SUPPORTED/VOTED a Northern Buhari to DETHRONE a fellow Southerner in 2015? You care so much about the South yet waged such a bitter hate-driven war against Jonathan in 2015? Thi.ef.nubu and his lackeys take other Southerners for f00ls but you’ll be served a just dessert in 2023. If Nigeria were a place where justice and equity had a place, there’d be no one besides Igbo candidates on the ballot in 2023. My vote goes to Obi for sure but there’ll be no problem if Atiku clinches the seat instead. Anyone but that thieving, toad-eyed traitor who deems himself smarter than everyone. Blame neither the "CBN Insiders" nor the BDC Operators but the grossly incompetent Buhari and his APC government for their disastrous economic policy that created multiple Exchange Rates with such a huge disparity between the so-called CBN Official Rate and that of the Parallel Market. What do you expect? round-tripping and other sharp practices become inevitable because the government's ineptitude made them possible. You do not spread grains in the open and expect birds not to come pecking them. HAve you asked yourself why there were no such corrupt practices in previous governments? It's simply because the economy was well-managed to ensure that the margin between the CBN and Parallel Market rates were negligible, thereby making round-tripping unappealing and potentially unprofitable. Most Nigerians do not know the volume of misfortune the Buhari presidency has brought upon them. |

Comedians. Baba Pee-Poo Tinubu will come 3rd next year. The projection here is purely based on party structure and the internal wrangling within the PDP but with zero cognizance to ethnicity/religion which will play a HUGE rule in the 2023 election. olaboy33: May 11 2021, Okowa hosted Southern pdp governors in Delta, where it was agreed presidency should come to the South, and pdp ticket be given to a southerner.
The one who hosted that meeting was the first to betray that Accord for the VP slot.
How in equity and fainess will the North (Another Fulani man) rule for 16 consecutive years.
If the North get away with this and Atiku wins, forget about Southern presidency in a very long while. Equity and fairness were jettisoned when the leading parties failed to zone their tickets to the South East. Both the PDP and the APC should have featured Igbo presidential candidates, akin to the 1999 arrangement that ensured the emergence of a Yoruba man. ...but then it's not too late. Tell Tinubu to withdraw from the race, collapse his structure and back Peter Obi to ensure that a Southerner occupies Aso Rock in 2023. My vote goes to Peter Obi next year God willing, but if Atiku wins, it's still OK. Anyone but Tinubu. |

ScamHunter: It is now obvious to all and sundry that Tinubu has moved from being the overlord in 2015 to an underdog in 2022, just a year to the election. It's even possible that it'll not just rain but pour on Tinubu. Everything that could get wrong is getting wrong to the point that it'll be an upset for Mr Tinubu to come second in the election. In fact, he may likely drag number 3 with Kwakwanso. How did it get so bad for the Lagos landlord?
I think he hadn't reckoned with the emergence of Obi, but rather anticipated a contest between the north and the south. Tinubu was depending on Southern sentiment to arm twist the north with cries of it's the turn of the south. Unfortunately for him, Obi happened and Nigerians just love him.
It's obvious that Tinubu has invested heavily in northerners to buy their loyalty prior to this time. The man and his mafia had hoped that PDP would field a Southerner from SE/SS. They would have used tribalism, religion and ethnic hatred to arm twist the north to support Tinubu who would have been sold as 'a friend of the north' but unfortunately for Tinubu, Atiku happened and became his nemesis in the North. The north no longer need a friend but "one of their own".
And it gets worse...
With Atiku in the picture, Tinubu panicked ... Atiku is a Muslim and Tinubu has no hope of mass votes in the south. The SE and SS are no go areas for him. Now the north that he banked on for years is slipping off his fingers. What was he to do? Tinubu goofed and went to a Muslim running mate to counter Atiku. He effectively became the only candidate with an opponent in the north stopping his progress and an opponent in the south stopping his progress. That is the story of Tinubu. From overlord to an underdog. Incisive! |
