The reason why people are still waiting is becos they have to first of all decorate those training first b4 the nxt batch can start and its as simple as that, those that applied 6 months ago will have 2018 written on thier badge when training starts in 2018. #copied

I like your spirit. You're a realist, and that positive attitude will take you far even if you don't land the DPR job.

I still have access to my profile (i've never had problems accessing it) and I received the sms and email yesterday.

Methinks the update is in DPR's realization that some applicants details might have changed since their initial application last year. For instance, I was still in the UK after finishing my masters when I applied and didn't have a Nigerian phone number so I used a family members number (through which I received the sms yesterday), but this update opportunity allowed me to update my phone contact as I've since returned and now have a Nigerian phone number.

We should all remain optimistic, but common sense dictates that if an applicants portal is closed and he/she did not receive the update alert from DPR, then chances are that they might not be proceeding further in the recruitment process. Having said that, I wish everyone the absolute best in their pursuits.

Nis should make it public if they don't want to continue d process of recruitment its almost 6 months now it's really not fair but that's what u get in a country like Nigeria..

I googled application portal closed online, it means application has been ended and it can't be possessed anymore.

To me, why would DPR close applicants portal before the interview? It means that their applications had been terminated. The findings I made was that DPR will invite 25 applicants from each state for interview.
However, those applicants whose profiles can be accessed are the real and authentic interviewees to be called.

It is glaring that once a Nigerian misses out in any opportunity, he/she concludes that either witches and wizards are behind it OR that those who succeeded had god fathers.

My point is that there is no evidence to prove that there is political influence. That is just a figment of your imagination. The chief whip recommendation letter is nothing but a propaganda carefully fabricated by those who were not shortlisted.

I could remember vividly how many candidates took a Post-graduate screening examination in ABU, Zaria for granted with the normal Nigerian mentality that it is just a formality. In the end the admission was 100% merit and the scores was published for the whole world to see.

You made reference to a 'reasonably fair' recruitment by NNPC in 2007 and I can say without mincing words that many candidates who were unsuccessful still believe that ONLY those who have god fathers got the job.

For your information, many people still got the FCSC job on merit or divine favour.

Go to www. and see how many candidates in the last recruitment celebrated their success.

I am not the HR manager of DPR but DPR have reinterated that the ongoing recruit ment is purely on merit. Even though many people would doubt this because of what might have happened in other federal agencies' recruitment but we cannot use that to judge this one.

I would rather believe DPR management team than you.

Finally, if you have any evidence of 'high political interest' in this recruitment, show it, if you have any evidence of any DPR recruitment in the past where MOST candidates were recruited based on connection, please show us or forever remain silence. Otherwise, I will be tempted to believe that you are simply imagining things.
