GTCO is defending the indefensible.
People are talking steady decline in size and now profitability over the years and they are telling us about dividends.

Let GT compare the size and ratio of its Balance sheet, Assets, Profitability, even share capital with Tier one lenders in 2016 and 2025.

With this mindset, I see GT falling off Tier 1 within the next 2 years and I am a Yoruba man. Their Retail Strayegy Jig is up. The Moniepoints, Pays are a problem for them. They must evolve or die.

Advocate of taxes & hardship. What's difficult to see that corruption is the reason for borrowing. Resources are embezzled and we resort to borrowing, even the debt itself is stolen. Maybe recovered in the future by another rogue AGF and re- looted again.

The most recent governor of Ogun who tried a bit is Osoba. Daniel came in and messed up. Even Keke Ogungbe and D1 hyped him OGD - rearranged it as "god". Then Amosun came on board and put the whole Nigeria in mess to the extant that Nigerian properties abroad and aircraft were seized. This Abiodun had the chance to make himself a stand-out. But I dont understand it at all.....whether Ogun is cursed to have bad leadership. Now these two failures are struggling BTW themselves to become the next senator. Ordinarily, Abiodun suppose to respect Daniel, but as e be...they are both cursed.

I will keep praying for Nigeria.

You cannot be a resident of Ogun state with this statement.

Osoba- A decent man. No Debt, tried in rural electrification. Hinterland road network but Ogun state remained a civil servant- state that only came alive in the week of Federal Allocation payment. A narrow road entered the capital and the only activity on that route was predominantly traceable to indigenes inter- city travels and a few contractors.

Daniel- Then came a technocrat with a manifesto: Waking up the sleeping giant (something like that). Then a new industrial hub; Nigera' s largest was created in Sagamu, 4 Free Trade Zones with over hundred companies still functioning to date, massive road infrastructure development (directly by OGWAMA; a state owned construction company that was credited with about 540km of roads which was said to be the distant 1st across the country ahead of Yar'adua's 380+ in Kastina), Redevelopment and equipment of all hospitals, markets. Construction of stadia, Had highest Investment in Education. Conceived and initiated Deep Sea port, Dangote refinery that was initially established in Ogun, Agro Cargo airport city, etc, etc. Ogun state quickly rose in IGR and has since been rising to the point where the then "CIVIL SERVICE STATE" is now ranked #1 in Industrialization, about 2nd or 3rd in IGR.

Just go and check the difference between Ogun and Lagos Budgets and IGR in 2002 and compare with 2026.

Amosu- Then came an Accountant. Reversed most if not all Daniel's policies but at least gave a good account of himself in sustaining and improving IGR drive. Used Chinese companies mostly but developed best standard of infrastructure obtainable in Nigeria in the capital and one or 2 projects across other cities.

Dapo- Hasn't been too bad if you for instance compare him with his peers across Southwest. Decent road projects well spread across the state, airport execution, renewable energy and transport.

Ogun state is catching up with Oyo and Lagos. I agree it could have been faster. It would require Daniel's kind of vision and resourcefulness, Dapo's kind of Continuity plan.

Baba Osoba is so conservative that the state would have remained so small; only able to pay salaries and buy transformers for villages. No one can forget when Obasanjo, an Ogun indigene pronounced at a state visit that- Osoba is the only Governor who said Ogun state did not need anything from the President/ Federal.

A decent frugal administrator, the ambition was just not there.

Abiodun aka "Eleyi" ti o win ward e ri! (who's never won his ward)

He would call himself Consensus,
He will demolish all of Daniel's properties and those of his wife,
He will go and pose for pictures with Tinubu's form in Abuja,
He would suspend Daniel from APC,
He will pledge appointments of the next dispensation of Yayi,..

All to avoid a primary with a Daniel He cannot win.
Tinubu knew what he meant when he said- Could Eleyi (meaning this one) ever have dreamt of becoming a Governor.

Dapo is only looking for the kind of Tinubu/ Osinbajo abracadabra that subverted electoral process to put ahead of Akinkade and Ladi who were the main contenders of 2019 Governorship election handed to him on a platter.

Dapo has never won his ward or an electoral process. Even if Daniel steps down Ladi Adebutu or few of Daniel's boys will beat Dapo before 11am.

Everyone who has ever contested against Dapo has beaten him in his ward and local government, even Buruji from Ijebu Igbo.

Daniel will win Dapo before 11am even as an independent candidate.

The Truth is Dapo is so unpopular, that he cannot win a Rep, Local Government chairman man seat in his state.

Anytime he has had to rely on himself, he's always lost. Even as a sitting governor, he has always lost his ward, local government. It's only support from bases of other politicians that made him Governor.

What profit could he derive from that transaction that he couldn't forego for the sake of his reputation and what God has already done for him.

Probably an additional car to the rusty fleet he is even unable to maintain, or more houses to the many rooms he has not even slept in in years.

It takes a combination of psychological problem, greed and inordinate ambition to see prosperous people get this low.

You can call him any name you like, but he is simply doing his job as a lawyer, and a smart one at that. That is his area of specialisation. Just as lawyers defend individuals accused of election malpractice, it does not mean they are part of the wrongdoing.

Even hardened criminals have lawyers who represent them; that does not make the lawyer a criminal. In fact, if an accused person does not have legal representation, the state is obligated to provide one. That is in line with international best practice and the principles of fair trial.

I have said in several forums that if the EFCC truly understands its strategy gaps, it should consider bringing someone like Mike Ozekhome into its legal team. He appears to understand the loopholes in the EFCC’s processes and effectively leverages them to the advantage of his clients, which is why he has succeeded in winning several high-profile cases against the commission.

It's fine to be a lawyer of Criminals, just that you cannot wear same cap with that of an activist in the public.
