She stared at her coffee. It had already gone
cold. She looked out the window of the café,
at cars cruising past. This café had been
their rendezvous point for their dates, for ten
years. But now, she was alone, separated
from her husband, Tay. Their love had gone
stale. She almost could not understand how
they had spiraled from lovers, to complete
strangers, in just under a year.

She looked at her coffee again. She usually
liked it black. It’s rich smell had always
brought to her, a sense of calm, but this time
it didn’t. Her mind wandered back and forth,
like a ping-pong game, on how she would tell
him. They has been separated for two
months now. She leaned back in the chair,
and went back in time.

Adaobi and Timi had been sweethearts since their
sophomore year in UNN. Timilehin was the
calm, laconic one. She, Adaobi, on the other
hand, was hip, and outspoken. She was slim,
with curves in the right places. She had
caramel complexion, and a cherubic face to
sum up her breathtaking beauty. She had
become used to rejecting advances from
male students, lecturers, high ranking
university staff, and even security workers!

They had first met at the NSLT building, after
CHM 201 lectures, on a studgy afternoon.
She tripped and fell, while coming down the
stairs. Timi, reflexively stretched and caught
her, mid air. He helped her to her feet. She
faced him, and suddenly became shy.

“Oh, Thank you.” A little fire had been ignited,
deep down.

“Oh, it’s nothing. You’re welcome ” He replied.

She just stood there, her lips twitching
erratically at the corners. He was taller than
her, and dark skinned. He was as tall as he
was thin, had small eyes, and sported a low
cut. His jaws, too, we’re clean shaven. He
had an aura of calmness around him – like
someone who took life easily.

“I’m Adaobi.” She blurted out.

“My name is Timi Adeoye.” He remained
calm. And for a split second, she resented
him for his calmness. She had expected him
to be overly enthusiastic – like the way other
men were, when talking to her, trying too hard
to impress her.

“Oh, I’ll just call you Tay, if you won’t mind.”
She replied, almost automatically, her cheeks
flushed. She felt awkward. She was used to
being hit on, not the other way around. But
here she was, transfixed to the spot, trying to
make little talk with a guy she’d just met.

“oh, I don’t. I actually like the way it sounds.
Tay.”

She was enchanted by his calmness, his
serene demeanour, by the shade of pink on
his lower lip, that glowed when he talked.

“well, I was just going to get an ice cream
and head to freedom square to chill out. Mind
joining me?” she felt strange. Did she just ask
a guy out? Wowzers!

“What are we going to be doing at freedom
Square?”

“Well, we’ll just have to find out, then eh?”
And find out, they did. They talked till night
fell, exchanged phone numbers, and called
each other at the slightest excuse. They both
felt like high school students. Both of them
graduated with Second Class Upper Honours.
She, in Microbiology, He, in Industrial
Chemistry. Both got employed right after they
graduated, and got married, after two years,
much to the expectation of everyone. They
had two beautiful kids together, A boy and a
girl. Their lives seemed like a Disney fairy
tale, for nine years, until…

Well, until things fell apart. Meaningless
arguments that snowballed into full blown
quarrels. They stopped doing things for each
other. Stopped flirting, stopped caring,
stopped talking, and eventually stopped living
together. Their friends were baffled, their
parents too, even both of them. The love they
had shared had been so pristine, so
unspoiled, so unique. Now, here she was,
thinking of how best to say “I want a divorce”
without incurring collateral damage — so to
speak. Of course she had to think about their
children; and she was already 32.

“Ma’am, you need anything else? “
The waiter jolted her out of her reverie.

” No”

She paid for her coffee and left.
She kept thinking about how Timi would react
to her request for divorce, as she got into her
car. Her mind was made up, she sighed
finally.
“I’m just going to do this and get it over with”
she said as she drove to Timi’s flat at
Hillview Street.

* * * * * * * * * *

Her fingers trembled as she tapped the
knocker on the front door.

“Tay, I need to talk to you.”

Her plan had been to tell him that she wanted
a divorce, as soon as she saw him. She
didn’t understand, however, why she had said
that instead.

“You called me Tay.” He responded, calm —
and surprised.

She opened her mouth, and closed it. She
just realized she had not called him Tay,
since their problems started, almost a year
ago. She did not know when she let “Tay”
slip. She blushed, visibly embarrassed.

She stared at him. He had become thinner,
his face looked drained as he stared back at
her, wistfully, like a child would, at a toy he
could not have.

She stood there for what seemed like eternity,
willing the words to come out: “I want a
divorce.” But they did not. It seemed as
though her throat had closed up.

They stared at each other, as seconds rolled
into minutes. They both remained there for
about half an hour, motionless, as memories
came rushing back: of the good old days, of
what they had shared, of what they had lost.

Resolve evanesced, strength ebbed from her.
She still loved him, and knew that he loved
her as much. She continued staring at him,
and for a second, felt he might not want back
in.

“I love you, Tay”, she found her voice. Those
heavenly words. Adaobi’s eyelashes fluttered,
her eyes stung with tears.

Timi stood there, unflinching. She was saying
the things he wanted to hear. He desperately
wanted her back. But he didn’t say anything.
He just stood there. Everything was calm,
except for Demi Lovato’s In Case, playing
softly on the home theatre system, from
inside the house.

The whole world stood still as he finally said
these words, with tears in his eyes.

“Till death do us part. “

It's my phone one month anniversary, something unfortunate happened today ooo, it's sad because my phone fell from my birthday brea. st pocket on a moving bike, I am so thankful to God that there was no oncoming vehicle or bike, I just told the bike man"oga ds phone na #25,000 if the screen break you go pay o" somehow I was not scared that anything would happen, jumped from the bike, rushed to where the phone was and picked it up, it fell with d screen facing down, turned it and high and behold the screen was in tact I only noticed a few bruises on the screen, indeed the gorilla screen thingy is for real, will order for a pouch soon, in the last one month, the phone performance has been OK camera is great aside the whitish stuff I have solved, temperature highest I have experienced is 45° with heavy browsing on h+, battery has improved with usage and the sleekness is just superb, so if you wanna buy please think about the pros and cons of the phone
A phone's screen is ten times less likely to crack or break if it falls face down. If it falls on its sides, cornersor edges, then that's when there should be cause for alarm.
It all boils down to pressure distribution.
It's simple physics.

ROSSIKE:
It's a nice stadium, but I think we're making a bit too much of it. It is afterall just a 30,000 capacity stadium. If it was say 50 or 60,000, THEN we could rate it as the best around these parts. It's lookalike, Soccercity Stadium in SA has a capacity of 84,000. THAT'S what we mean by a proper world class stadium. This Akwa Ibom stadium feels uncomfortably like they tried to build 'world class' on the cheap.
Like a Tecno phone.

aww tnx cheesy
.. OK lemme give a quick review and I'd leave you to make ur decision.... Dis review is based on my 2months experience with the fone... Design wise it's a sleek fone (I know uv heard that before) performance wise it's also nice wud rate it 92/100 wink I hardly experience any lag except when charging, gaming and chatting at d same time cheesy... Sound wise d loudspeaker is quite lots but d earpiece is craaapppp... OK down to business (d koko of the oro wink) d glass isn't wat many people expected 1week after purchase of this fone I noticed a scratch at d back of d phone...after that day av seen different scratches on d back of d fone and trust me wen I say am very careful with d phone n am sure I ddn't do anything to cause them to appear lol... So I'd advise you to get the pouch along with it if u decide to get one... I got d pouch few days back and it's a solid pouch so dnt tink ud av issues with broken screen and scratches wink now the touch screen shows alot of fingerprints I know dats to d glass used so get a screen protector too... Now let's go to (sim slot sim cards and sim swaping)... grin touchy subject for me cuz d first day I got this fone after months of research on dis fone and much prayers grin d sim slot got spoilt on first day angry meaning I got a factory defect phone angry d next day I was on to carlcare center and after much walking about from awolowo way to opebi Road (well I ddn't walk cheesy but it was stressful angry) and I cudnt even get d fone fixed cuz of d ruckus at carlcare dat day azin pipo wer throwing tantrums here and der... (my once in a life time carlcare experience) well long story short day two I was der by 9am and still met a crowd I tink pipo slept der a day before lol grin nyway I waited 4hrs before the sim was repaired sha... So der is a 99.9 probality dat u Might get a defective fone and av ur own carlcare experience... Just saying..... Lol after the repairs tho I av switched sim like water until d 6th time I swapped sim and gobe happened embarassed something shifted inside d slot I had to use compass to bend it before my slot started working again ?? Since den I never swapped again.... OK now to d battery... Well if u game a lot u may not like d battery cuz it gets hot on heavy usage also on H+ sometimes on edge mtn smh... And d battery drains quick too... Av gotten 7-8hrs on normal usage and 5hrs on heavy usage.... Get a powerbank like my beautiful lumsing 10400 pb gets me going and a working freezer to cool ur fone grin or cold pure water.... But on a cool day ud enjoy d fone ehn even get more hours but on a hot day chai not soo good but if u know hw to handle d fone ud get by.. Apart from all dis d phone is great... I for one I love d phone d pros n cons av grown on me cuz I know how to handle it so has not to cuz hassles wink and yes camera wise is great... Not as great as iPhone but great all d same and to enjoy d camera get the black variant... After all d first 2weeks of getting d phone av enjoyed it since den... Dis is my honest review.... I hope this helps smiley
Lol, I agree with you on the hot day hot phone stuff.
The day I was multitasking GTA san andreas and Facebook, BBM, and Whatsapp, on 3G, while charging the phone for six hours. My phone e reach 74°C. Mehn, I chook fone inside freezer.

5.so far??.. well so gud... evwifn else fo de fone ez on point... plus mine don survive up to three medium sized
ME DE CELEBRATE MY ZERO TWO MONTHS + ANNIVERSARY OH.
.
ALL THE COMPLAINTS BY OTHER NL users. My Zerobucci Don jump an pass.
.
Two months in review.
.
Camera is Above average. (really good, but could be better)

It's Gorilla screen but it's not Gorilla 3.(reason: Gorilla screens are resistant but eventually scratch. When they do, the Gorilla nature hides the scratches as much as possible. You only notice the scratches if you look really close. Google it if you're in doubt. That has been the case with my device) only Sapphire glass is damage resistant. It was used in Huawei Ascend p7.
.
The video and audio is awesome.
.
Screen = awesome, you can still read clearly from 80° tilt.
.
Processor = lags seldomly but overall performance is great.
Gpu : smooth. I play HD videos and games flawlessly. Hi rez Games load faster too.

Ram = mine is 1 gb ram version, so it's not that wonderful.

My phone Don fall for tiles (slippery bathroom tiles included) four times. No story to burn chest.

I'm always careful changing Sims (done that about four times) so there's no story.

The phone dey hot well well if you dey use 3G or HD video while charging.

Lastly, I agree with The quoted post. THE BATTERY DOES IMPROVE OVERTIME. i comfortably go through a day with moderate use with some juice to spare.

My only person with the phone is the music player that crashes after every song!! Any solution to that? I'll be really grateful.

My beef with the phone is that the music player freezes after every bleeping song!!
PhonesRe: Infinix zero discussion thread! by ArchFreelancer(m): 7:36pm On Nov 02, 2014
LordFME:
tbh before that my ba3 would just go down for no reason even when I'm only playing music like 10% would go in an instant. Now at least it's relatively better and most people would ignore the WiFi fact. Just putting it out there is all. Although the overheating is quite annoying. Can't charge the phone for too long for fear of burning something.
Lol, the battery performance is erratic. It depletes at the speed of light, from 100 - 80 and thereafter becomes relatively stable.
.
If the weather is hot, You'll not enjoy the phone. But, I've used 22% for roughly 2 hours on a cold day before.
.
Yah, the phone can boil water at times.
.
.
What annoys me most is the stock music player. It freezes after every two songs!! Sometimes, after every song!
.
Apart from that, the phone is sweet. The camera is its wow factor. It's not great but it's really good. I don't get that whitish effect. I think it's due to if the phone is white . Mine is black.
PhonesRe: Infinix zero discussion thread! by ArchFreelancer(m): 1:10pm On Nov 02, 2014
LordFME:
Please for the love of God if u have the phone pull down the notification bar, go to battery and click on that to see battery usage and you'll notice that although your WiFi is off 30% is still being drained by that. Click on the WiFi then it's settings. Press the options key, choose advanced and deselect scanning always available. Battery problem solved. Mostly at least. Please Share
This was the first thing I did when I got the phone. Yes it helps, but, the battery is still the phone's Achilles heel!
PhonesRe: Infinix zero discussion thread! by ArchFreelancer(m): 1:34am On Nov 02, 2014
I use a black infinix zero, I don't get any whitish whatchamacallit.
.
The flash works fine at night, no white effects. The only thing is that, that flash too bright, I wouldn't advice taking selfies in darkness, the flash is too bright (wonder if that can be fixed, it's hardware, so there's probably no hope, update-wise)
.
.
My Zero's battery Don dey rugged small small. I've used it from 100%-65% In three hours, which is fair compared to when I bought it new.
.
.
I've played HD video at 1080p and played HD games for four hours with Battery doctor, before the phone gassed out. I'm thinking of getting mayorall pb when I have money.
.
.
That flip case cost of. 2k much sha.
.
And yes, I've got 74°C before while playing GTA SanAndreas and charging simultaneously. Mehn, phone come dey hot so tey I no fit hold am again. I quickly Chook the phone inside freezer for 10 minutes. I been fear oh!
.
It's still surprising that the battery didn't blow up!
I mean, clean master showed me 74°C

. I'm not exaggerating, the hotness issue is alarming. I get an average of 52% on heavy usage.
.
.
.
About the Gorilla glass, mine scratches. Really day I bought it, I used a broken mirror - and the scar is till there, in the center of the screen. Knife didn't scratch it, keys didn't scratch it, but the edge of the broken mirror did ( I guess it's because it's also glass). However, ever since, the phone has picked up a few scratches here and there, but they're relatively inconspicuous - unless you look closer. (which is how a Gorilla glass is supposed to behave).
Yeah, you read correctly, Gorilla glass does scratch - eventually!
.
My phone has fallen several times, several times, my heart jumped into my anus ! But Thank God! E no break.

Recently it fell off toilet water closet(to press phone while dumping waste *winks* dey sweet oh) bounced on the sit and onto the tiled floor, I Don already visualize Carlcare office, but as I pick am, behold the phone remained pristine!
