Evaowokotomo: Dear all,
Please my school is asking me to upload proof of account with 30, 000 dollars before they issue me i20. Can I upload a friends account now to obtain the i20 and when it is time for visa interview and then use my family account. I can’t use my family account now because the money in it is not yet complete. It will be complete in 2 months.
Please I need answers. No You will be complicating things for yourself cos you will still have to present that same statement when it's time for interview and defending a friend sponsoring you might not fly with the VO. So get the family member soa and use it so you don't waste your admission. |

Nozino: Hello sir, I read your diary and I felt very emotional. I would like to point out that your wife must be an Angel considering how supportive she is.
I also read Mechanical Engineering and I have a few Ph.D admit for fall 2022(Industrial Engineering). I’m still waiting on funding decisions.
I don’t know your whole story but if your wife can get into a Nursing school that will surely help. It’s just 3 years and most nursing schools haven’t released forms yet so she can prepare ( hopefully she has the right olvl combination).
Even if you succeed in jakpaing, she can join you as a nurse and you can imagine how much she will be able to pull in yearly.
Consider sending Madam to a nursing school while you pursue a Master’s in Engineering.
P.S: I’m not sure if you’re interested in Turkey, I posted a link to a fully funded scholarship in turkey on the Turkey visa thread. Check it out if you’re interested. I already applied to the M.sc Industrial Engineering program there. Thanks so so much my good man. I intentionally just abandoned the diary to focus on the journey... I intend to resume soon. You have made some valid point and I will consider it out. I am so very grateful sir |

Family › Re: I Am Tired Of My Marriage by Aremu01(m): 12:54pm On Apr 22, 2022 |
janejjjjj5000: Please, I don't want to be judged. My husband is a good man. We have been married for 14 years. I am 33 years old. He is 39 years old. We have 4 kids - 3 girls and 1 boy. He has never cheated on me. Right from day 1, he has been very open. He is not the type of husband that locks phone and all of that. But I am tired. He has the habit of flaring up around the children and I don't like it. I don't want my kids to be damaged. I know some will say no marriage is perfect but at this point, I don't even want marriage again. I just want to be free and single and look after my kids. I am tired.
Anytime we have an argument, he always talks about how he did this and that for me. In front of the children. I don't want this kind of life. He hardly gets angry, maybe twice or thrice in a year but when he does, he does not have the sense to know he should not be doing it in front of the kids. He apologizes to them and to me but I am done.
He has no other issue apart from this. He has never beaten me or anything but I am tired. Overall he is a good husband to be fair and honest but I can no longer deal with this. I prefer to be single and free than deal with this rubbish.
I feel like pouring out my heart. These are issues you cN easily thrash out without separation, unless there is something you are not telling us. It doesn't warrant a divorce. Don't let petty things make you end your marriage. |

jbryan54: Hello guys, I got admission for Fall 2022 and my university wants me to submit the I-20 application form before 1st May. On my I-20 form, I am required to list all dependents that will travel with me.
The thing is that my husband is staying back with me but my child will be traveling with me just that the child is not yet born. I am currently pregnant and will be due in May.
Can the I-20 form be submitted without listing any dependent and applying later when the child is born? Will listing a dependent on the DS-160 affect my chance of visa approval?
Please what should I do in this case? Why not defer the admission? Jus thinking out loud thou |

Oga mackynaija I hail o I got admitted to Msc engineering but I am considering changing to nursing since it gives me a better prospect of GC. Is changing feasible since engineering and nursing are two distant professions.
Thanks |

morgang: Congratulations. However, not sure why you have to hide name of the school. 2 years ago, I made a solo effort in searching and applying to schools for the same program you going for. All the schools I applied to didn’t offer any form of assistantship/scholarship. The closest I got was a waitlist (Kansas State University). The only school that offered me funding was the school (Texas Tech) a gentleman on this platform suggested. I eventually met him sometimes this year at Texas to personally thank him for the suggestions.
There is no big deal mentioning name of school hommie. America is very big and fit enough to accommodate all and sundry. You might eventually get to the so called department and make a detour in your major or possibly transfer. As I speak there are 3 Nigerians in my department and according to my prof. 3 more are expected to arrive this fall. MA/Phd Political science is “lucrative” and quite promising in the States. You might eventually like the drill that comes with the program or otherwise. Share information necessary for others to gain; transcripts are getting too cliche nowadays, the information like name of schools, funding etc is what that matters- not your conversation with the VO!!
Nonetheless, congratulations and wish you the best. My oga at the top. I greet you. By faith I hope to join you in TTU come fall. Mind if I send a pm for guidance and other assistance? Masters Engineering |
