Remi Tinubu is not without blame in this matter for calling Dino Melaye a dog and a thug. She has consistently shown herself as a woman with a hot temper,however Dino Melaye showed himself to be an uncouth,loutish being with his retort that he would beat her up and impregnate her. His defence of his actions at his press conference was even worse as he continued to cast aspersions on her that he could not impregnate a woman that has attained menopause. I find this comment sexist and showing a total disrespect to all women that have attained menopause as if they are pieces of meat. Dino Melayes antecedents are not helping him either. A serial wife beater and on top of that allegedly impregnating the actress Bisi Ibidapo Obe and refusing to accept paternity nor recognising the child as his own.
Senator's Tinubu and Melaye are the kind of characters making laws for you and me In the senate,and I ask how many laws or bills have either of them proposed or passed that favour the common man? Food for thought my people but I guess we are getting the kind of leaders we deserve. Quite frankly I see nothing to cheer nor see any difference between the APC or the PDP.

If we say she insulted him first, we thereby agree that rape is okay as long as the victim insulted the offender. This issue is bigger than who insulted who. He's encouraging the rape culture that is already a problem in Nigeria and he should be made an example of.

Everyone is blaming and abusing dino melaye. No one ever bothered to ask what remi tinubu said to prompt Dino's response. Or did dino just turned on her and said he would rape her without remi tinubu saying anything to prompt Dino's outburst?

This is shameful.

And many of the news media reporting this issue have cleverly left out what tinubu said to prompt this.

There are two sides to a story. We do not want to bother asking what tinubu's wife said to warrant Dino's response, just because of hatred for him and desire to pull him down at all cost.

While I Dont support the unruly conduct of Dino, I still think remi tinubu must have said something equally unbecoming to make Dino give her that kind of response. Everyone is now silent on what tinubu could have said, but start broadcasting what dino said. We leave out the action that prompted the reaction and start hammering on the reaction alone.

Why would an altercation on the floor or at any level of the Senate by senators become a subject of firing salvos by people who have no business in the Senate? Statements or position of members in the cause of their official assignments in the Senate/house is covered by immunity to libel or defamation. If Remi or Dino feel shortchanged there are laid down house mechanisms in tackling that why would Tinubu go to the extreme of issuing out an official statement against Dino? This is unacceptable. There is no where in the world where legislators always agree without altercation and in some cases it translates into exchange of fist in the house. Mind you Remi Tinubu is in the Senate as a senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria and NOT the wife of Tinubu. If Tinubu is not comfortable with his wife being denigrated by her colleague then like the saying goes "if you can't take the heat get off the kitchen".
My worry here is both senators Dino and Remi are anything but not Distinguish or Honorable in the sight of right thinking public. Why would both senators condescend to the level of throwing caution to the dogs and deploying unacceptable arsenals to settle personal acrimony.
My question is this to you all " what will be your reaction if a female/male staff of same rank calls you a dog? can all the "gentlemen and ladies" here answer with sincerity?

Remi Tinubu is a disgrace to womanhood judging by her misconduct in that red chamber so far. A woman who disrespects men in the public is not deserving of men's respect.

Aside Ekweremadu, Dino & Obanikoro's issues, the Jezebel also disrespected the office of Senate president when she refused him an inaugural handshake last June. The idiot disrespects anyone who disagrees with her husband politically. If her past is carefully x-rayed, they will discover she's always been nagging and disrespectful to her husband anytime there was disagreement at home, just the same way Dino has always disrespected women.

Remi was unfortunate to meet an equally violent man in Dino, hence the fracas. Not every man can tolerate woman's disrespect in the public, Remi should note that. Dino would've actually beaten her up if she was closer. Remi should learn to tame her tongue, please.
