This is not the best of times for the embattled Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose. Just as he is running from pillar to post trying to get the courts to defreeze his account frozen by the EFCC, he has suffered another monetary loss. A private guard he employed for his Abuja House which he rented out to Ekiti State Government at N50 million per annum for 8 years, bolted away with Fayose's N20million naira and many of his expensive clothes.

The guard, whose name is Faruk and hails from Kogi State has been declared wanted quietly. The Monitors learnt that the guard was owed about 6 months salary by Fayose and all appeals by the boy to Fayose to pay his salary fell on deaf ears as Fayose told him that the boy should know his account has been frozen by the EFCC.

Faruk stumbled on the money in one of the rooms he was cleaning in the house and vanished with the money and clothes.

The Monitors learnt Fayose always claims N2.5 million per day as night allowance and travel expenses anytime he sleeps in the house which has already rented out to Ekiti State Government at a ridiculously high amount for 8 years.
