I wonder why you Ibos can't enjoy your chest beating threads without mentioning Yorubas. You reek of inferiority complex.

Yorubas go to which length? Or why do Ibo women of nowadays prefer marrying Yoruba men? And when they have kids, why do they prefer giving them Yoruba names (i.e Yemi Alade)?

Why do most of your musicians sing in Yoruba?

Why are your people now dressing in Yoruba attire, compare to 1 or two Yorubas dressing in Ibo attire? Why are y'all dressing as Yoruba, but calling it "Ashebi", when we know its Aso ebi?

Why do you prefer living amongst Yoruba people than living in Iboland?

Yoruba culture is the most attractive, no matter how you wail on social media to bring it down. It will keep soaring.

you mentioned yemi Alade, the singer's Dad is Yoruba and her mum igbo ,so that testify of Yoruba thirst to marry an igbo lady.many Yoruba men I have come across tell of their desire to marry igbo ladies but can't afford the huge bride price. many igbo men prefer igbo ladies against Yoruba. Igbos are 50times more in the southeast than anywhere.Igbos are business oriented so they spread out to place.for your information, the igbo population is so big that Igbos are present in any part of the world.Igbos are known to be well traveled hence their inherent abilities.

with all honesty igbo ladies prefer igbo men for obvious reasons. Igbos see marriage as a very important institution, so we take very good care of our wives unlike other tribes who marry all over the place and treat their wivies as trash. Because we spend more to get a wife we value her and culturally and religiously (we are Christians and were not defeated and conquered by jihadists) we know that our religion preaches taking care of our wivies.

TAYO AYENI CEO and Founder of SKYMIT MOTORS

In the comity of auto dealers in Nigeria and beyond, Tayo Ayeni, the chairman/chief executive officer of Skymit Limited stands out; not because of a towering physique or rich parentage, but because Ayeni and his automobile company have come a long way in an industry known for stillborns and short trajectories.
At an age when his peers were still undecided as to which course their life was going, Ayeni had already started his, establishing Skymit Limited, a high net-worth automobile company in 1986. He was in his early 20s. Over two decades after, the company has grown beyond the starry-eyed projections of the founder, spewing an offshoot like Affordable Cars Limited, a low and medium car sales and service outfit, while establishing Ayeni as one of those rare Nigerians who envision rose growing out of concrete and nurtured and watered the vision until it blooms for the world to see. Today, Skymit Limited turns over in excess of N2billion yearly and keeps hundreds of Nigerians comfortably out of the labour market.
A product of the famous Ilesha Grammar School in his native Ilesha, Osun State, Tayo Ayeni's educational odyssey propelled him to Fronsynly Polytechnic, Italy where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Since then, he has channeled all his talents and resources into making a name for himself in business. Apart from Skymit, Ayeni also calls the shots at Space Ventures Ltd which is into photographic materials; Space Properties, a real estate firm; Moontrends Holdings, a project financing and management firm, and Limoserve among others. A member of the Nigerian-Italian Alumni, Nigeria-South Africa Chambers of Commerce, Ikoyi Club, Lagos Country Club, the 47-year-old businessman is not one to traipse the whole place with bundles of cash, having his praises sung by musicians or living life on the fast lane. Instead, Tayo Ayeni has remained true to character, upholding the ideal that success is better defined by one's contributions to the development of humanity which explains his far-reaching philanthropic activities across the country.
Happily married to Adetutu, pioneer Managing Director of Skymiles Travels and Tours Limited, a member of the advisory Council of the prestigious Grange School and successful lawyer, the couple is blessed with five kids and a domestic felicity that Tayo Ayeni's business successes have found unassailable.

Incorporated in 1986, Skymit Motors Limited is one the leading automobile company. They became fully operational 1987 and over the years Skymit Limited has grown from leaps and bounds judging from its yearly average gross sales of approximately N2 Billion last year.
CORPORATE MISSION
Skymit Limited prides itself as one of the leading auto companies in Nigeria. The entry of the company into the automobile industry is to cater for the needs of a selected group of Nigeria's corporate organizations and high-net worth individuals who are in dire need of corporate, sleek but durable cars at affordable prices, packaged and tailored towards their financial status and personality.
Skymit mission is to bridge the gap whereby all ranges of the latest model of cars are displayed within few weeks that the cars are released into the market, all in one premises; unlike in the case of many other auto companies where only fewer and outdated models/brands are displayed, thereby limiting prospective buyers to fewer choices.
Skymit intends to be a leader in the auto-world in Nigeria by striving to improve upon its affiliated branch network and in the next few years open an Assembly Plant for a major car model.

Tony Ezenna

On a sunny day of April 21,1957 a male infant was born in Port Harcourt into the Ezenna family. The infant would later be baptised Anthony Ndubuisi by his parents, late Mr Ernest Ukwandu Ebilekwe Ezenna and Mrs Confort Ebiliekwe Ezenna of Owerri Akokwa in Ideato LGA of Imo state. As a child under the tutelage of his father, Ezenna demonstrated early in life that he was destined to be a shrewd entrepreneur and business administrator. His resourcefulness in handling his father’s business at a young age signposted the success that would later litter his path as a businessman. Thus, driven by hard-work, self-discipline and diligence, the young Anthony was to branch out of his father’s to establish Orange Drugs. The year was 1988. The modest take off of the young company was in Owerri, the Imo state capital. The birthing of Orange Drug was of course the beginning of Tony’s many other mile stones that would establish him as an industrialist and business mogul, on the same pedestal as Aliko Dangote, Jim Ovia, Tony Elumelu, Femi Otedola among other leading business czars in Nigeria. At 58, Anthony Ndubuisi Ezenna has his imprint scattered in sands of time.As a businessman, job creator and employer of labour,he has saved many young Nigerians from labouring in vain in the labour market. Many of these young Nigerians are currently on the employ of the Orange Group, Orange Drugs ltd, Orange Soap factory Onitsha Orange West Africa, Orange Kalbe among others. As a philanthropist, the Orange Drugs boss has put smile on the faces of many Nigerians through a plethora of his philanthropic gestures. As a result of his passion for philanthropy, for the downtrodden, the birthday “boy” has contributed immeasurably to the development of both his immediate community and communities. His generosity knows no bounds, his kindness is limitless and his love for the needy exceptional. By this, he has helped the helpless, brought hope to the despair and rekindled life in the famished. In 2006, to further drive home his passion for the poor, Ezenna set up the Tony Ezenna Foundation with the sole aim of providing scholarships and financial support to families that cannot afford to send their children to school. The Foundation also provides financial assistance to small scale businesses in communities round Akokwa. His immediate Owerri Akokwa community has enjoyed the grace of his electricity and pipe borne water. His contribution to the development of his community also includes the single- handed construction of over 45 kilometre of asphalt road. A committed and devout Catholic, Ezenna, aware that God is the unseen hand behind his success in life, puts God first in all his endavours. This explains why his commitment to assisting churches spread the everlasting gospel of love and tolerance has been outstanding.Ezenna’s religious philosopy is predicated on the believe that life without Christ amount to crisis, wealth without Godly love is vanity and that if one must live here on earth to live again hereafter, one must show love and know God. Ezenna has stressed this point poignantly through financial contributions. He built the portaceali Cistern Monastery of Orlu Diocease, completed the ultra mordern building for St,David’s Catholic Church Owerri Akokwa in addition to financially contributing to the growth and structural development of many church parishes in Orlu Diocese A sports lover,Ezenna sponsors the annual Procold Talde Tennis Championship in Nigeria. Its today the biggest Table Tennis tournament in Nigeria. His company also sponsors the annual Boska football championship in lagos, and the Akokwa Unity soccer cup. Ezenna is not one to play to the gallery via his many philathropic gestures. As an advocate of giving, he believes in the Biblical injunction that “to whom much is giving, much is expected”.Many of his admirers see him as a role model and his philothrophy, a wake up call to other rich Nigerians to sow seeds of love in the hearts and lives of the poor. As Ezenna turns 58, he stands tall among his peers, shines brightly in the eyes of his benefactors and majestic in the business and industrial sectors. In all ramifications, he is fulfilled-blessed with a wonderful spouse and adorable children and favoured by God with good health and financial riches. At 58, the business mongul has nothing but effusive praises to God for making him the apple of His eyes. A dutiful family man, Ezenna administers his household with the same fear of God and firmness with which he administers his businesses and employees.Today, Ezenna is a proud grandfather courtesy the above having given out two of his adorable daughters in marriage last year. Ezenna believes in his fatherland and has demonstrated patriotic fervor to Nigeria by electing to site all his companies in Nigeria, always insisting that “if you don’t love your country, then you can love nothing…my affection is for my own country, then, generally, for all mankind”.

EMPEROR BAYWOOD IBE: BAYWOOD CONTINENTAL LTD Out of South East region sprouts Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe, unarguably an eminent and successful entrepreneur of his time. Businessman, philanthropist, community activist, and humanist, Emperor Baywood Ibe, is the Founder and President of Baywood Continental Ltd (BCL), (a wholly-owned, Nigerian company actively engaged in African oil and gas fields since 1989), which has, over the years, parented a couple of companies holding their own in the country and elsewhere in Africa. He is also the founder of Baywood Foundation, a philanthropic arm of his thriving charity concern and the leader of Save Awgu Forum Enugu (SAFE), a group ceaselessly pressing for the inclusion of all in the scheme of things in Enugu State. His BCL, which plays a commanding role in the Nigerian oil and gas sector, is consistently scoring a string of “Firsts” in all its undertakings. It is, for instance, the first to successfully design and build large Crude Oil Tanks for various IOCs at three Export Terminals: CNL ESCRAVOS, SHELL BONNY and FORCADOS. It is the first indigenous company to design and construct Nigeria’s largest gas pipeline since the discovery of oil in the country. BCL is also the first Nigerian company to design, install and operate compressor plants for Shell Petroleum. It is equally the first indigenous concern to design and construct a double-bottom, concrete Crude Oil Tank for Chevron just as it remains the first Nigerian company to successfully pull through HDD (Horizontal Direct Drilling), a 42” diameter pipeline across the one- kilometre Sombreiro River. Under the astute leadership of Emperor Baywood Ibe, BCL employs over 1,000 staff. An ISO 9001- 2008 certified company, it is easily a reference name in Engineering, Procurement and Commissioning undertakings in the country’s oil and gas sector. Emperor Baywood Ibe attended Central Primary School Isu Awaa, Colliery Comprehensive Secondary School, Ngwo, Enugu, after which he pursued higher education in Quantity Surveying in Beograd, Yugoslavia. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Del Carnegie Institute in Canada, Member of the Institute of Directors, Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria and the Global Local Content Group. His contributions to community development remain legendary. Here is a man who single handedly undertook the construction and asphalting of an 8.5kilometre road linking Agbogugu-Isu Awaa-Agbudu-Ihe communities in Awgu LGA, Enugu State, a feat which is probably the first of its kind in the country. Over the years his medical outreach programmes in communities, like Isu Awaa, Ihe, Ugbo, Agbogugu, Ituku and Agbudu have saved many lives. The widow empowerment outreach he initiated and carries out yearly has touched the lives of over 700 beneficiaries till date even as his Baywood Football Championship is acclaimed to have positively engaged youths in Awgu LGA and indeed and Enugu State. Similarly, his Baywood Oil and Gas Skills Acquisition programme has trained many Enugu youths who are currently gainfully engaged not only in his BCL and its subsidiaries, but also in other active companies in the oil and gas fields. His passion for the youths compels him to step up vigorous commitment to improving the lots of Nigerian youths through education and scholarship awards. He believes that the youths as true leaders of tomorrow can be assisted through well-thought-out enlightenment programmes. His planned National Youth Rally comes up in Abuja soon. Even when he is neither a politician nor a future political office aspirant, he underlined his passion for the youths recently when he bought and distributed motorbikes, at least two each going to youths in over 20 communities in Agwu LGA of Enugu State. He tasked them to go forth and make a better living with the gesture and offer community service as well. Emperor Baywood Ibe’s spirit involuntarily yearns for justice, fairness and equity, in the same measure everything in him detests and resists oppression and injustice. This is the spirit behind his selfless drive to galvanise Awgu communities using SAFE, (a socio-cultural group, which he founded), to make them believe in themselves and to say “No” to all forms of political exclusion in Enugu State. SAFE is an organisation bitterly opposed to the political marginalisation and oppression of the people of Agwu. And he selflessly deploys his resources to see that this trend is not only halted but reversed. A likeable personality, Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe is a Knight of St Christopher, a recipient of so many awards, including the 2014 Industry Achievement Award by PETAN, the RATTAWU Distinguished Award for Human Empowerment and Father of Eminence of the Anglican Communion. Not too long ago, his legendary acts of philanthropy reverberated in far away Ethiopia. Consequently, he was invited and conferred with the title of “Emperor” by the Ancient Imperial court of Ethiopia.

Multi-Trex was registered in 1999 as a cocoa beans merchant. Leveraging on the twelve-year Cocoa commerce experience of its CEO, the company, at the outset, bought Cocoa beans from its select group of local suppliers, including cooperative union of farmers, processed and exported them to its customers that are mainly in Europe.

In 2003, the company expanded its business operation to include processing of cocoa beans into semi-finished industrial products i.e. Cocoa Butter and Cocoa Cake. Then, it exclusively hired the facility of the Nigeria’s premier cocoa processing plant, Cocoa Industries Limited (CIL), Ikeja, Lagos. The partnership arrangement with CIL afforded the company the opportunity to retrain the generality of its staff and generally prepare it for manufacturing business.

As a result of the success recorded in the trial manufacturing operation at CIL, the company, over the period 2004 and 2005, resolved to invest in the construction of its own factory and acquire a cocoa processing plant of 10,000mt of cocoa beans capacity. The manufacturers of the main equipment are DUYVIS, CAOTECH and G.W. BARTH

In funding the project, the company enjoyed the support of the Nigerian Export-Import Bank [NEXIM], Abuja, Nigeria and Eko International Bank plc, Lagos, Nigeria (which later became one of the constituent banks that together transformed to Skye Bank Plc).

Multi-Trex commenced cocoa processing at its strategically located factory on October 1, 2005 and the factory was commissioned on February 1, 2006 by the nation’s former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

Multi-Trex’s products enjoy good reputation in the international market for its superior quality and packaging. The activities of the company’s workforce are closely guided by detailed serialized operating manuals. Still on the integrity of processes, a number of valuable management reports are regularly prepared for sound decision making.

The company, since inception, has always enjoyed good relationships with all the manufacturers of its equipment.

The technology guru surprisingly does not have a technology background as he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Panjan University in India and a postgraduate degree in Risk Management from Nottingham University in England. Leo Ekeh began his journey in the technology business when he set up Task Systems Limited which was a pioneer in desktop publishing and computer graphics in Nigeria. The company was so successful that it is to his credit the computerization of a high percentage of print media in Nigeria. The astute businessman also founded other companies including ITEC Solutions Limited and Technology Distribution Limited. He then set up Zinox Technologies Limited in October 2001 to produce locally made computers. Always pioneering, his computers were the first Nigerian made computers certified internationally. Zinox was the first computer manufacturer in West Africa to attain the WHQL certification and the ISO 9001: 2000 certification. Recently in October 2013, Zinox Technologies unveiled their first tablet computer called Zipad produced locally at a media conference at the Company’s headquarters in Lagos. The company is the leading computer manufacturing company in Nigeria and is patronized heavily by the Nigerian government especially during elections. Chief Leo Stan Ekeh through his company Zinox Technologies has given back to the society in several ways. One of which is the Computerize Nigeria Project which was launched on the 5th of August 2000. The goal of the project was to sensitize and encourage development in the use of computers by Nigerians, another such project is the CANi scheme which was set up to provide quality desktop and laptop computers to the Nigerian populace at below normal market prices with the option of bank financing and a 24 month repayment period. The testimonial of Chief Leo Stan Ekeh’s business genius can be seen in the numerous awards won by both him and his company. They include but are not limited to: Zinox computers as ICT Company of the Year at the Thisday Awards for Excellence in 2007, Computer Brand of the Year in 2006 at the Nigerian Information Technology and Telecom Awards, 4 doctorate degrees from reputable universities etc. Chief Leo Stan Ekeh was conferred with the honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) of Nigeria by President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2004 and is also a board member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group.

The business side of things

As far as the local technology scene is concerned, Sheriff Shittu is a veteran of sorts, having started his first online venture as far back as 2005 – when he was barely 18, and at least 5 years before what is now widely regarded as the local tech ecosystem began to materialize. There were only about 500,000 Nigerians on the internet at the time.

Showroom.ng is totally bootstrapped and Shittu plans to keep it that way for a while. The idea is to grow the startup at a steady pace. The timeline between when the idea was conceived to when it was launched was a mere 30 days. For Shittu, despite the steady growth, Showroom.ng is still very much at the validation phase.

“What is important now is making sure our economics make sense”, says Shittu, “making steady revenue and keeping customers happy”. Shittu tells us revenue levels are currently in the 6 figure range.

Going forward

One of the things Showroom.ng looks to improve on is originality and expert input. “We want to make sure that we have more home decor experts in our network, so that more original content would be developed”, says Shittu.

The idea is not only to generate original designs but also enter full-on into home decor – bundling and delivery of interior design packages for customers. Backed by his invaluable experience in online business, Shittu believes strongly in the power of technology to efficiently deliver this vision.

“We are looking at building Showroom.ng to become Nigeria’s biggest online furniture platform, Shittu tell us. “We are hopeful that in the next 5 years we should be able to build a company worth nothing less than $50 million, in terms of value we have delivered to customers, the revenue we generate, the number of goods that we sell and the number of millionaires that we would have created from the network of furniture makers we have on board”.

About those millionaire furniture makers, Shittu reckons they can make “hundreds of thousands” of those by 2020. That would be no small feat.
