PoliticsRe: Should Nigeria Consider Granting Borno Caliphate by arewanationz: 9:49pm On Sep 07, 2014
mikeansy: [s]As part of our wish for true fedralism for those who want it and the need to end the Boko Haram crisis

Should Nigeria consider granting a Borno caliphate as a juice to break the ranks of Boko Haram. The new Borno Caliphate will be allowed to operate as the current existing Sokoto Caliphate while Boko Haram are expected to in return for this gesture disarm; disband and return their guns to the federal government.

So long as Borno Caliphate does not interfere with the democratically elected Government of Borno State!

If it is also geographically posible the Christain/minority areas from Bornu State should be made into a state during the next state creation and if possible merged with the minority areas in Adamawa. Just as Kebbi State was created from Sokoto! if posible a christain/minority state should be created from parts of Bornu and Adamawa.

In return to this gesture to the North and the South can aim to benefit from more devolved powers and people managing more resources within their own territory?

what are your thoughts on these guys? [/s]

vedd: Gullibility is the problem. Not daftness.

Lots of the TAN stooges are educated idle minders who know too well that GEJ is not an ideal leader. But they have been impoverished that they have to jettison their clamour for the ideal at the mere dangle of N10000 at their face.
Hmmm....It very unfortunate.sad
PoliticsRe: Why President Jonathan Will Win In 2015 by arewanationz: 8:57pm On Sep 07, 2014
I always say that most Nigerians are daft, and deserve a daft leader like GEJ.
No country in the world will tolerate a highly corrupt mediocre like GEJ except Nigeria.

GEJ till 2015....cheesy

mikeansy: I will rather defend a corrupt man than a muderous blood thirsty group of terrorist who rape women and slit pregnant women!
If Shekau were Ibo, Ohaneze will issue an ultimatum for the FG to award him a national honour.

Pathetic!
PoliticsRe: Breaking! Ohanaeze Gives Apc 48 Hours To Apologise To Ihejirika by arewanationz: 8:38pm On Sep 07, 2014
mikeansy: It's not about the allegation from terrorists it's about how my countrymen reacted to an allegation from a terrorist made about a former head of the army.

A respectable man as the former head of the army was not treated such. What we got is after all he is Igbo and they can do anything or oh he is Igbo let us get back at him!

We saw the same people who not too long ago accused this same general of brutality against Boko haram turn to yet again accuse him of treason because the very terrorists he fought against said so!

Reason it people. If Ihejirika was not Igbo this diametrically opposed accusations will not be possible in this country!
How can the problems of this country be solved when we have people with this mentality?

Smh huh
PoliticsRe: Breaking! Ohanaeze Gives Apc 48 Hours To Apologise To Ihejirika by arewanationz: 8:32pm On Sep 07, 2014
mikeansy: You dont understand it because you clearly don't know!

Modu Sherriff was an elected official, Ihejirika was a soldier!

If you don't know where to draw the line and why these 2 professions or their institutions must be treated differently in our political discourse then perhaps you are not knowledgeable enough to discuss politics!
You haven't answered my question.
PoliticsRe: Breaking! Ohanaeze Gives Apc 48 Hours To Apologise To Ihejirika by arewanationz: 8:30pm On Sep 07, 2014
arresa: This is the problem. It beats me why they play tribalism with this issue?

Every major issue in Nigeria gets tribalized as if one tribe is beyond reproach or above the law. Fashola sent folks from other states back to their states even Yoruba people, but heaven fell after same applied to folks from that region...

They shout, yell, scream and come up with tones of reetarded and silly ultimatums

It's really pathetic and nauseating...
.....Ohaneze is the only group that defends their corrupt kinsmen even with glaring evidence of how guilty the person is.

I wonder if they know what morality is.huh
PoliticsRe: Breaking! Ohanaeze Gives Apc 48 Hours To Apologise To Ihejirika by arewanationz:
mikeansy: Do you know the difference between calling for an investigation and concluding that the truth has finally come out and as such the head of the army should be handed to INternational Criminal Court?

The head of the party APC should choose his words carefully when discussing National security issues!

Oyegun should appogise and actually resign for concluding without facts or investigation that the army is involved in terrorism!

If the COAS is involved in terror then it's the whole Army because his decisions are compromised! This will in effect mean the activities of the whole army is compromised!
When has it become a crime to accuse the army of complicity? Is it wise for any sane government to flay the allegations because it involves the army? Should APC also apologise to SAS?
I really don't see sense in the points you are making.

Ohaneze should encourage their SON to go to ICC to prove his innocence and not appearing like a PDP branch.
PoliticsRe: Breaking! Ohanaeze Gives Apc 48 Hours To Apologise To Ihejirika by arewanationz: 7:51pm On Sep 07, 2014
mikeansy: You clearly don't understand the difference between PDP as a political party and the Army as an institution!

APC should not be dragging the name of the army into politics!
How did APC drag the army into politics? It only called for the investication and persecution of a fomer COAS and a former Northern governor following the revelations of a high profile negotiator.

It is no longer secret the BH have moles in the millitary and your ilks have always accused Northern millitary officers as informants for BH. Why should the tune now be different when an Ibo officer is involved?

Ihejirika is not the only person mentioned. Why are Ibos making this all about them? Why is Ndigbo always the whining group?
PoliticsRe: Breaking! Ohanaeze Gives Apc 48 Hours To Apologise To Ihejirika by arewanationz: 7:08pm On Sep 07, 2014
mikeansy: Ihejirika was accused of aiding terrorism while he was head of the army. It is not about Ihejirika. It is about the army itself!

APC as a responsible opposition should have checked the facts before accusing the army of terrorism!
Was PDP responsible when it kept accusing APC of terrorism?

Why the double standard?

Ngwakwe: [s]

You mean the Igbo woman declared the consensus Sharia Law across 12 Core Northern States that Bokoharam intends to implement?

You forgot that the year 2000 declaration of the new Calisphate received a thunderous reception amid bloodletting and wanton destruction of properties belonging to the infidels.

Bokoharam is not evil rather they are the Calisphate Military command demanding for full implementation of year 2000 accord signed by the regional block and the proper handover of power by Nigerian Government to the Calisphate.

I am raged by the absence of one handed corrupt politicians of "Bokoharam Calisphate" extraction since year 2000 till date.

You killed our kinsmen to herald Sharia Government and turn around to accuse us of supporting the Calisphate declaration that brought untold hardship to our people living among you.

Logic and reason are now scarce commodity in Nigeria.[/s]

Mutuwa: Guy..I appreciate your observation. The problem of Naija is the north itself.Quote me anywhere.am a typical northerner .i can educate u as well as all and sundry how the north used to be back then, coz i saw its last years of glee, peace and sweet togetherness up and till our people turned to Monsters.A typical northern person is nice, friendly and tolerant, but collectively there are differences even admist us.This include attitudes like dominance, aggressiveness, power loving etc.
Get this no tribe in naija is perfect,EVERY one has its ills..but it becomes meaningless when on the inside we dont cater for one another, psychologically enslave one another, oppress, harass and do so many degrading things to ourselves and REPEAT same on the outside for all to notice.
Well..I wish the troops luck,I know they will triumph in shaa Allahu, because the almighty is always on the side of the just ones.

oneeast: People down south do not know that Nigeria is presently at war. You need to go to the north to better appreciate that the events of 1966 is repeating itself again.

By the time our military are through, the north would have lost over 10 million in human resources and be set back another 100years economically.

The worst part of it, is that the north brought this on themselves. GEJ was quite slow to action thinking that the north will change their evil ways but they kept at it. Now that GEJ has declared a full war on them let nobody, not the Islamic APC and its supporters cry wolf!

It is really pathetic here in the north to say the least!
PROPAGANDA ALERT!
From your comments, I can guess what part of the country you come from.huh

Its is unfortunate that your clueless master is decaring total war on Boko haram after tens of thousands have been killed.

I appreciate threads to boost the morale of our troops and every Nigerian, but posting what seems to be a fake picture to prove to us that GEJ is ready for BH and at the same time chipping in a tribalistic comment clearly shows who you are; a deceitful cankerworm and a TAN ambassador who specialize in hoodwinking Nigeians with false information.

Bloody LIAR!

barcanista: you made a lot ot us remain on this thread. I foresee someone preparing to take the President to court too arguing that he's ineligible to contest.
Another brewing case is that of Gombe State Acting Governor Umar. He has been acting since 2012(if guess so) with the substanstive still sick.he's most likely clinching the ticket, the question is,
1. Will 2015 be his FIRST term? According to the law he is still a Dep. Governor
2. Some will argue that he has been performing the function since 2012.
3. Will the ruling on Haruna have effect? Some may argue that the joint ticket of Dambaba Suntai and Umar come into play. In this case Jonathan's tenure will be counted from Feb 2010 when he swore as acting rather than May 6, 2010 when he was made substanstive.
4. Can he perform in the same office for 13years?

Pls your opinion

My Oga Barcanista, you should give up on this argument.... You wan do like Jmain ba! grin lipsrsealed

Section 182, 1(b) states that one cannot contest for a gubernatorial election if he had contested and won two previous gubernatorial elections.

Is there any part of the constitution that says a candidate MUST complete a 4 year term?

C'mon guy, are you for real?

This isn't the time to be partisan or sentimental about issues, we all want an end to the BH issue....but applying selective justice by the nations security services is utterly irresponsible and will provide more twist to the BH debacle and take the nation further from finding a solution.

Even if Ihejirika is innocent, why not carry out further investigation to prove beyond doubt his innocence?

Why hasn't the SSS ever come out to clear the air that Buhari is NOT a Boko haram sponsor even when there are glaring evidence that he is not?
Nigerians must put sentiments aside and ensure things are done in appropriate ways....

BlackTechnology: Be sincere

Ask yourself this question

Why did your elders rejected 18% placed on solid minerals and opted for 5%
I told you, I didn't take the confab serious, and didn't follow it thus, I have very little information about that.

So far, what benefit does the country derive from solid minerals compared to the large deposits available?

The FG have long neglected other sectors and concentrated solely on Crude oil, which is partly responsible for the country's under development.

The sector should be developed first, before they can start talking of % bla bla.

FYI, I don't believe we have elders in this country.
