Yeah...I was a bit surprised too @ the 3 years for both Bsc and masters. In fact, its not easy to finish masters in 2 years. The Fastest students usually finish in 2 years and some months. Many finish in 3. I heard Aalto gives a prize of 1k euros to anyone that finishes in 2 yrs.
Sometimes its because many people have to work while studying and some also look for masters thesis place for months. And the Finns who are not under any work pressure also take their time well.

Cheers boss!
My apologise for my error and misinterpretation of the true structure of the BScBA program. I sincerely appreciate your clarification and I didn't mean to mislead anyone here..

Thanks for the link....

the student first completes the Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration degree at the Mikkeli Campus and
after graduating from Mikkeli, the student has an automatic study right to continue their studies in one of the Master’s Programs at the Helsinki Campus.

@aril the bolded was copied from the link provided by jub009... The BSc program will take about 3 years to complete and upon completion there is an automatic study right to continue studies for MSc. which will take another 2 years to complete. I think it must have been an oversight on ur path when u stated that the Bsc and Msc programs could be completed in 3 years. All the best in your studies.

Kiitos!!!!
oh ok! Thank you for the clarification

Bros calm down no be fight o...... It is stated clearly above that it is a BSc program but you mentioned somewhere on this thread that the admission is for BSc and Msc..... I might have mistaken though... I only want to be sure.....
Perhaps you read too much meaning to my respond. I ain't angry one bit and I am seriously calm as well. I am just trying to help and you also need to know that while I am trying to tell you all I know about this program you need to put effort to researching as well such that it won't be to bothersome for me attending to repeated question.

Again this details below is from their site:

Studying in the BScBA Program

"The BScBA Program is designed for full-time, almost year-round study so that the program can be completed in less than three years. The academic year is comprised of 15 three-week modules. The intense modular format of the classes is designed to foster dynamic interaction among students and professors".

I will provide the link of aalto BScBA site shortly. I think enough info is there for everyone.

Have a splendid night..

ooh nice one!!

But from the information above the 3 years is for a BSc degree it does not state anything concerning Msc.

One more thing..... you sat for the entrance exam in Finland?

PS - I will be resuming at Tampere University of Technology MSc things by August.... grin ..... But I need this info for peeps i know that can save cash instead of sending their children to the US and Uk.
Olabode89..... did you read the summary about aalto I posted above. Scroll up a bit and read it the you will understand how they're running the BScBA program. And.... No I did not sit for exam in Finland., I am right here in Nigeria.. All I did was SAT and no entrance exam. I thin that's just the difference in aalto and other schools.

For your information:

Studying in the BScBA Program
The BScBA Program is designed for full-time, almost year-round study so that the program can be completed in less than three years. The academic year is comprised of 15 three-week modules. The intense modular format of the classes is designed to foster dynamic interaction among students and professors. For each module, classes are scheduled for three hours a day, five days a week, for a total of 45 contact hours including examinations which means that studying requires active participation. Each year, 50-60 professors are recruited from all over the world to teach at the Aalto University School of Business, Mikkeli Campus. These distinguished professors are top scholars in their field and come from some of the most prestigious universities in the world. There are normally three short breaks during the academic year.

One – usually the last – semester is studied abroad in one of our partner exchange universities where students will complete the minor subject studies as part of the BScBA degree. The BScBA Program has more than 50 partner universities in many regions of the world. Every year, 60-80 international exchange students also visit the Aalto University School of Business, Mikkeli Campus.

Nice points u have raised though.

Please help me send the materials. Have sent u a PM coz I don't wanna violate the standing order of the forum by putting my mail here.
Thanks
I actually have the hardcopy and I am willing to send to 5 people through Nipost on Friday. I will be sending my study place form tomorrow to Mekkeli campus so I will use that avenue to send the hardcopy to whoever that is interested.

Again, the hardcopy requires some section where you will be needing to listening to audios and some short conversation for you to summaries.
I will try my best to upload the audios through a link and I will provide the link here for those are interested. Remember that you will be needing the audio in some section of the hardcopy.

Pls drop your Address here so that I can send it to you on Friday through Nipost. Each material shouldn't exceed more than #300 or less so I can still afford #1500 to show my appreciation and to get more reward during this holiday month.

If you leave within lagos island, Adeniji Adele, Odunfa, Okepope, Obalende and Ikoyo to be precise then you can give me a call 07012981649, I will handover a copy to you and bring a flash along for the audio section.

God has been merciful to me all I can do to show my appreciation is to be kind to others. Don't misunderstood my kindness to taking advantage of what is not.

I am just being helpful to newbies.

Have a good evening...

Bachelor's or Master's degree completed in English (with the language of study clearly indicated in the degree certificate and transcript of records)
No language test is required from applicants fulfilling one or more of the above criteria. Such applicants may demonstrate their English language proficiency by submitting officially certified copies of the relevant degree certificate and transcript. It is recommended, however, for applicants who have also taken a language test to indicate their test scores when applying

Please friends, I got this information on a website of one the finish university. Does the information means nigerian are exempted from submitting Test of English language proficiency?
Basically, requirement for degree and masters program thought in English, applicant must demonstrate their language skill through.. TOFEL, IELTS or PEARSON test of English. All Finnish schools accept anyone of those listed English test. For me I think IELTS is simple but expensive.

By all means Nigerians are not excluded so I suggest you get so tutorials online or I can send you a copy if you re interested but it is in hard copy. .

cheers. ..

Hello pals is admission still in , and what are the process involve , how do I go about it , I am a graduate , and I will like to apply for masters or a post graduate course
I don't know if sharing this would help but I will share it anyway becoz pple on this thread have been fantastic.

For those who are intending to reside in finalnd after completing their studies. I will advice you go for degree courses even if you are through with your degree in Nigeria. Why? degree courses give you lengthy stay in Finland and you can automatically apply for masters program after completing your degree. This will give you more yrs to complete your studies and you can apply for citizenship.

They actually have ways by which they calculate your stay in Finland and you must have stay and contributed to their economy either directly or indirectly before such privileged could be given. Another important factor again is you must be good in speaking Finnish becoz those are the area they will look into. If you don't like their culture you won't go as far as putting your ear on ground to learn their language. They welcome you even more when you speak their language to them.

Other ways includes, paying tax, having a good record, never committed any offence or found wanting. Breaking laws like say yiu dey Nigeria. Like you need to put all your effort to get what you want. "Remember one bad egg smell will make you think twice before breaking or eating the second egg".

Oh there was a time one Nigerian guy use a fake wassce certificate and he was caught at Helsinki campus. Since then some school started paying special attention to Nigerian applicants. How much will it take to do wassce or GCE.

Some pple will be thinking applying is simple.. yes it was before but now you will need to lie about your address. I have about 12 friends there including my brothers. Back then they use their home address but after some while alot of nigeria were not give admissions without no reasons. But the idea is, you should not use your nigeria address if you want a better chance to be invited for extrance exam. So we take to using, Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, Gambia and Republic of Benin addresses. Remember nothing last forever.... And some Nigerians will ruin other pple ' opportunities to apply.

So for those who wanna apply..... Look into aalto school of business. You will have your degree and masters in 3 yrs which is fantastic. They don't ask for tofel but you will need to we do well in your SAT. If your SAT is score is good, leave the rest to them.

A close friend has been there since 2006/7 he is still living fine there with his family. ..

Thank you for reading and I apologies for my shotgun error above..

God bless nigeria, God bless us all... Amin

Bro, what u did is not bad. But to me u shld ve use ur GTB accct like dt. Since it is jst ola dt is d difference, embassy will wave it.
Secondly, u shldn't ve deposit the money in ur name @ d 1st instance. It shld be in ur sponsor name.
So my take on is dt. U use ur GTB acct.withdraw the money from 1st bank and deposit back in ur dad's name since he is d sponsor.
I appreciate your comment and I will heed to your advice. But I am still in doubt if that (Ola) won't create unnecessary problem for me when am tendering my statement of account at the embassy soon.

Thank you for your comment again.. I am still waiting to read from other bosses here before I decide by tomorrow.

Hello

I have a problem and I need a quick solution. My dad transfer 1.5m to my GTB account but I withdrew it in cash and deposited it in my first bank acct. I actually withdrew it from GTbank to first bank becoz I was having a tough time telling them to change my Olajide to Jide since Jide was what was on my passport and the details I filled when applying to aalto was also Jide and not Olajide. I know I will be having problems with my name that's why I transfer the fund to first bank.

What can I do now since the money wasn't transfer to my first bank from my dad's account but to GTbank? And the statement of account will show I am still the same person that deposited the funds into my first bank accounts instead of my dad.

I need advice on what to do. Can I withdraw the money from first bank and deposit it again in my first bank but this time will write my dad's name as the depositor. Will this method work? Btw Jide is my last name.

Help anyone. ..

thanks in advance.

Congrats boss!.....Nice one!!

I guess this is a new opportunity... cos currently all undergraduate programs in aalto are in Finnish. Did you write any entrance exam?
Bachelor’s Programme in International Business (BScBA) requires you to have a very good SAT score and the program is in English. No entrance examination is required. All they required is just a good SAT score.
