O lord bless my husband, for the past fifteen years he has been in search of a job, please answer my prayers and wipe my tears she said. I opened my eyes to peep my mom during the prayers, seeing tears dropping from her eyes and running down her cheeks , i quickly closed it as if opening my eyes will make her prayers not to be answered. After the long prayer session she said kachi, you can go break your fast. I walk quickly to the kitchen to get my food already served, walk back to the parlour and started eating without saying the lord's prayer as usual. Couldn't get the taste of the meal but all I was concerned about is to get my stomach full. so I rushed the meal like one who hasn't eaten for days and who could finish a whole cow. After the meal my stomach protruded out, looking very big like someone suffering from kwashiorkor, I couldn't carry up my body, so I lie down on our worn out cushion and slept off. Wake up, wake up is what I heard accompanying with a slap on my face, get the table clean and go wash the plates my mother said. Despite the campaign against the black soot disturbing the Niger delta community, of which residents in portharcourt metropolis stage out a protest to show their grievances against the silent killing monster affecting the life and activities of people. I'm really sad with the sorry state these politicians have drag our beloved country, Nigeria into. It seems to be a deliberate act, of these so called leaders to impoverish the masses, especially the youth who were recently referred to as being Lazy by President Muhammadu Buhari. Just recently I couldn't help but hide my face in shame , when I saw the same people declared by the Federal Government wanted, accompanying thesame politicians and chanting words of praise on them. These are the same boys, perpetrating evil around, carrying out nefarous activities that has been troubling the peace of the country especially in Rivers state where cults boys are allowed to move freely. After declaring them wanted, they were on the run, and all moves to apprehend them was abbortive. Today the same politicians have called them out of their hide out, using them again for their selfish reasons all to achieve their political goals. As 2019 draws nearer, the more these miscreants are seen gallivanting ,and the security agency seems to be doing nothing about it.
