BusinessRe: Ajaokuta, Delta Steel Company To Begin Production In 2015, Says Official by Arogba: 4:08pm On Jan 13, 2015
Start producing what? This is a cheap lie!
I was in Ajaokuta two weeks ago during the Xmas and New Year celebration and the whole place is overgrown with bushes and somebody is coming here to tell us lies.

Yes, Ajaokuta will start producing yams in 2015 because all the staff of the company are now farmers.

zendy:
Oh really? Attama,Okolo and Onochie are not Igbo names? What are they because I have relatives and friends who have those names and they are from Anambra
Those names are Igala and Idoma names! Go and read your history very well. There's a lot of Igala migrants and settlers who now claims to be Igbos. Go to Nnsukka, Enugu Ezike, Nzam , Anambra North...
CultureRe: Interesting Facts About The Igbo People by Arogba: 5:16pm On Jan 05, 2015
Chiwude:
Question: Is Southeast and Igboland the same thing?

Answer: Not at all. Southeast is only about 3/5th of Igboland. Igboland covers the whole of Southeast, parts of Rivers, Delta, Benue, and Akwa Ibom states.
Igboland Benue? Very wrong and misleading! Rather, its the other way round. All northern igbos are descendants of Igala and the Idomas!
Anambra is not a homogeneous Igbo state and so is Enugu state too. Attama, Onochie, Okolo etc are not Igbo names.

God punish your papa and mama for blaming the Incompetence of our leaders and the intolerance of some demented people with 7th century ideology on America. By the way, what does Russia really stands for in the world?

taharqa2: And the Rail line that wud serve this Steel project from the Mining Cop at Itakpe to the Steel Plants at Ajaokuta and Warri-Aladja ie the Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Agbor-Warri Rail line, the 1st Standard Modern Railway in West Africa, has also just been COMPLETED by GEJ. That Rail line was conceived since 1978, while actual constructn stated bw 1989-1991, with all previous Govts unable to complete it in more than 30 yrs. When sm of us insist that GEJ is steadily TRANSFORMING Nigeria brick by brick, we know what we are talking about.... God bless the President and his team; and may He continue to bless this Great nation, NIGERIA
Really? GEJ completed the rail line? some people just come here to talk rubbish!
That rail line has been operational since 1987.
I worked briefly at ASCO between 1991 and 1994 and can personally attest to this. There's also the Ajaokuta-Itobe rail bridge that was complete in 1985, I'm sure some of you will come here to tell us it was GEJ that built that.
PoliticsRe: FG Targets 12m Tonnes Of Liquid Steel By 2020 by Arogba: 6:38pm On Apr 19, 2013
Rossikk: What a dumb and stup.id comment. Is the establishment of a fully functional 700,000 tonne per year steel plant for the first time in the nation's history not the first achievement, which you've ignored to type this gibberish? You're too busy looking for what to criticize to notice the achievement staring you in the face right now. smh.
You're the dumbest! Functional steel plant, Where are they digging the iron ore from? Did you say for the first time in Nations history? Does the name Ajaokuta reminds u of anything? A rolling mill is not the same as asteel plant, Ajaokuta steel company has steel plant, a blast furnace, 5 auxilliary units, a power plant,
6 rolliing mills, the billet mill, light section mill, medium section mill, strip mill, angle and wire rod mills, flat sheet mill.
One of these mills is bigger than your funny 700000 tonne plant. There's a national iron ore mining company at Itapke with a direct rail link to Warri and Ajaokuta.
If u've ever been to Ajaokuta you will know what i'm talking about.
PoliticsRe: FG Targets 12m Tonnes Of Liquid Steel By 2020 by Arogba: 6:19pm On Apr 19, 2013
Bunch of liars! This is a propaganda... A rolling mill is not the same as Nigeria producing steel. Which Iron Ore is WEMCO exploiting?
What happens to Ajaokuta steel company ltd?

PoliticsRe: Dangote To Open $8bn Oil Refinery by Arogba: 2:20pm On Apr 13, 2013
clue: Greedy man?
Do you know how many people this man employs? Can you even begin to imagine the number of families that benefits from that? How many childeren, youths and the elderly who are dependent on his workers across the nation? Dealers, sub contractors, suppliers, farmers, NGO's, academic instituitions, hospitals, communities, SME's, banks and other financial institutions, brokers, even artisans get jobs from dangote staff (and that may be their breakthrough), some of his staff own businesses and employ others!
Greedy man?
Pls have a rethink? Always look at the bigger pic? Who knows, you may even "hammer" through dangote, one way or the other!
Thank you for this comment! If all the political thiefs can be half of Dangote, we'll all be better off in this country.
PoliticsRe: Why Don't We Have BBC Igbo Or Yoruba Service by Arogba: 12:35pm On Apr 12, 2013
jmoore: Because BBC is not owned by the Nigerian government.
Thank you my brother! You can now see why Nigeria is so backward and corrupt-tribalism.
I understand the resentment being spewed out here but Hausa is one of the richest African language(indigenous) with gender notations (linguistics) and its spoken in about 10 Countries. Hausas are very humble people however The situation in Nigeria is very different, the Nigerian Hausas are un-educated (not all of them though), poor, arrogant, and tries to be dominant and violent in behavior. I think poverty, ignorance and religion are majorly responsible for this violent nature.
Corruption and religion has destroyed what otherwise what would have been a great African tribe.

CHAIRMAN1: This useless proganda is coming late. From where do you dig your figures? Who told you mtn has the most infrastructure? Have you heard about the glo1 fibre optics line linking africa to europe?to hell with your mtn! If you can remember, there was a prophesy at the begining of the year which I read about here on nairaland that mtn would experience a lot of problems this year. This is one big one coming!!!!!!
Oga! What prophesy are talking about? How does glo1 connect u to somebody in Ekiti? Wake up from ur slumber, glo1 is for broadbantd connection and all the bla bla...
PhonesRe: NCC To Launch Mobile Number Portability On March 26 by Arogba: 2:28pm On Mar 09, 2013
hyelhira: That may not really affect MTN. Everyone has already ported. I mean, who doesn't have lines of all the 4 major network providers? The MNP changes little or nothing.
That's the point, Nigeria is a multi-siming environment so MNP does not really change anything. I personally have 5 sims, it will be a crazy idea to start porting on other networks.
PhonesRe: NCC To Launch Mobile Number Portability On March 26 by Arogba: 2:22pm On Mar 09, 2013
For most of u castigating MTN you'll migrate to other network and you'll be stuck for at least 90 days before u can come back. MTN is still the best network, the others simply does not have the capacity and. The infrastructure. Remember, MTN still carries traffic for Etisalat in most part of Nigeria.
SportsRe: Kobe Or Lebron -who's Going To Have The Better Legacy When It's All Said & Done? by Arogba: 12:29pm On Mar 03, 2013
MJ was the best and the best there ever will be period! He was the childhood role model for both Kobe and Lebron. Remember both Lebron and Kobe never went through College, they were drafted from high school and therefore no NCAA titles!
MJ won a couple of NCAA titles with North carolina Tarhills, so he was already a star before his NBA career even started. Remember the Georgetown Hoyas vs NC Tarhills series? MJ and Ewing was in the middle of it and MJ triumpthed!
I still pick Kobe over 'Bron!
SportsRe: Kobe Or Lebron -who's Going To Have The Better Legacy When It's All Said & Done? by Arogba: 8:39am On Mar 02, 2013
shy-mmex:
I'll choose Kobe over Lebron everyday of the week - Lebron is more like Magic Johnson... However, he's benefiting from an era of basketball with too many undersized guys... If Kobe were to play in the 80s-90s golden era of basketball - he'd still be as great as he's - probably only second to MJ... However, Lebron wouldn't be that great playing against the likes of: Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Chris Webber, young Kevin Garnett, Patrick Ewing, Shaq, Scottie Pippen, David Robinson etc..

Let the debate begin!!! grin
Kobe all day! 90s was truely the golden era of basketball, does anybody remember Dennis Rodman, king of boards? Thats one hell of a player Lebron wouldn't dare.
Lebron thinks he's already in the league of NBA greats But non of these guys (Kobe or 'Bron) will ever walk in MJ's shoes.

Try developing your skills in scripting rather than administration and you'll be surprised the opportunities that will come your way.
