PoliticsRe: Who Do You Think Is The Right Man That Can Change Nigeria For Good by Arosa(m): 10:19am On Mar 21, 2012
fork adict: In a democratic setting, I dont see how one person can sanitise naija. If his gra gra is getting too much, and he is preventing the national assembly from doing business as usual with tax payers' money, he will be impeached. particularly if he belongs to an opposition party. But i am conviced Buhari will make a little difference if not much. At least he will be far better than OBJ, Yaradua, GEJ all put together.

However, i can comment on HOW naija will be better. First let a military regime take over. The junta should try, jail or execute all corrupt government officials, strengthen the anti corruption agencies, instill discipline in nigerians (like the Buhari-Idiagbon days) and then hand over government to a democratically elected president by conducting a free and fair election. All these should happen in 4 years. Then naija will becone a sane country with sane citizens.
Your idea of the solution to Nigerian's problem is to keep on doing the same old thing, over and over again, even if it has been proven to be futile. Right? undecided

Both 'know' and 'knew' are suitable in this case. However, I admit that my use of the word 'from' resulted in the sentence being unclear - I should have perhaps substituted 'from' for 'since'.

That is contrary to what am alluding to. I haven't got a clue as to how he died. Sorry. embarassed

Christianity EtcRe: Is Christianity A Racist Religion? by Arosa(m): 6:40pm On Mar 17, 2012
noetic16: Exodus 20:21 spoke in the context of Moses approaching God's presence outside the camp where there was obviously no light.
But the question remains that how do u use pictures to describe this darkness or light to little kids?
You are very funny, the bible do not mix words when it describes the abode of God. Psalm 18;11 He made darkness His hiding place, his canopy around him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

We have to find a politically correct way to teach children what good and evil is through pictures.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Christianity A Racist Religion? by Arosa(m): 5:17pm On Mar 17, 2012
noetic16: 2. The bible calls/describes the presence of God (heaven) as LIGHT. Whilst describing hell or the non-dwelling presence of God as HELL or Darkness.
There are so many quotes in the bible that says that God lives in a dark cloud. an example is this.Exodus 20;21 The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was. just like today the peeps of old were also afraid of the presence of a thick darkness, knowing that God lives in it and not the devil.
Christianity EtcRe: If You Think God Dnt Exist, Read Dis by Arosa(m): 5:08pm On Mar 17, 2012
Ptolomeus: Unquestionably for you and for me, but do not be so arrogant and disrespectful to those who do not think alike.
Nothing is unquestionable, only the pride. You respect others the same way that you want to be respected.
I am not being arrogant or disrespectful, I am saying facts here. We humans have a limited capacity to knowledge, even Einstein struggled to comprehend the laws of the universe. A wise man knows he knows nothing. So it surprises me to hear someone say categorically that there is no God,when its safer to say that you don't know. To prove the existence or nonexistence of God will be the greatest findings of mankind.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Christianity A Racist Religion? by Arosa(m): 2:03pm On Mar 17, 2012
Jenwitemi: But black is the colour of satan, isn't it? Do you know what effect that has on one's consciousness? One of the big reasons why i walked out of the christian religion. Very racist religion. And yes, very sexist too.
I think the Europeans depicted Satan as black because they wanted to make him look unlike them. At that time Blacks were probably manly animist (not christens). But in todays world such depictions should be unacceptable.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Christianity A Racist Religion? by Arosa(m): 1:48pm On Mar 17, 2012
@Chrishenzo, I understand what you mean and I feel the same too. However I will like you to know that this issue is more of a sociological and cultural problem than a religious one. We need to create awareness on this issue. Black is just a colour and darkness is the absence of light, its not evil or bad. etc.
Christianity EtcRe: If You Think God Dnt Exist, Read Dis by Arosa(m): 10:47pm On Mar 16, 2012
@ptolomeus, The concept of God is lost in translation of any religion but the existence of God is unquestionable.
Christianity EtcRe: If You Think God Dnt Exist, Read Dis by Arosa(m): 8:30pm On Mar 16, 2012
Your ignorance or lack of knowledge is not a proof that God do not exist.
PoliticsRe: When Will Our Tomorrow Come? by Arosa(m): 6:53pm On Mar 16, 2012
The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A way!
