I have been there with my Dad... We attended a weeding of one of my father's close friend who happens to be a Lagosian.

Lagos is a very nice state... Just that the state is congested.

But there's present of good governance in the state.

I still have the intention to one day visit badagry the land of no return.

Check the ranking done not only by Nigeria's organizations but also by non biased international organizations and you will see us there.
We might be majorly a civil service state today but even in that, we have a higher standard of living than any state you will bring forth in the north.
You can create a trade for that and compare standard of living in Akwa ibom and Kano or Kaduna

The time you use in calling the east backward,use it to talk to your governors to improve the standard of living in the north.
let me use my state Akwaibom for example, 12 years ago we were backward and with a very poor Standard of living but today we are in the recently released top 5 states with one of the highest standards of living in Nigeria.
Yes my Governors have not done enough but we are at the right track and are 80% satisfied with them and we need more.recently apart from Lagos, we have been having more FDI.
Over 5 industries are being Constructed are have been constructed in Akwa ibom state like the syringe factory, the coconut factory, the pencil factory etc. it means we are getting better and facing our own business.


Let me give you a bit of advice. instead of insulting the east, spend time in building the image of the north and you will see much more investments from the private sectors coming in.
If you check the net about anything even Akwa ibom, there are always nice things and it a good image for my state cause it has brought it many investments.
I just recognize what a good image does for a country and for a state recently but am very sorry the North lacks it because of the Insecurity in the region
