Biggyz: There are two main ways to make payment. If you have a dollar card, use it. If not, you will need a PayPal account. You can find people who can help you to checkout the order on Currency/E-currency Market Deals 2020 thread; however, beware of scammers over there. Always insist on escrow. An issue you may face is that the person might find it difficult to help you pay for the product since your account is new and without any transaction history. Hence dollar card is a better option here, but try the PayPal checkout option first, kinda cheaper. About N650/$ compared to the standard dollar rate of around N740/$. Note: If you fail to pay for the order, the eBay seller may report your account for none payment and that could result in a strike against your account.
For delivery, sign up on Heroshe.com, they charge $8/lb, and you will pay in Naira equivalent. The company will give you a US address to fill into eBay where the order will be delivered then they ship it to Nigeria for you. There is an alternative shipping company though, but better for orders above 50 lbs. please what is the alternative company |

Nairaland General › The Scammer, Oyenebe Otito Aka Otikpoko by Arry110(op): 4:23pm On Mar 26, 2023 |
On 9th October of February I made the payment of 120,000 to this man, the payments were made to a stanbic account with the name Otikpoko enterprise, He was referred to me by my elder brother a year ago (it was after this incident I found out that they never met in person),I never used his services then as i am usually very skeptical of of the payment-before-service methods of many Nigerian business due to the high rate of scam associated with online purchases, I just used to watch his status he placed people orders and he delivered, (judging fom his WhatsApp posts), I even searched him on Nairaland and all seemed well
So I made payments to this man for a power station, I got a remote job on February and I need constant power for my laptop as we all know nepa and it’s issues, I decided it was better to get it instead of a generator, After I made payments this man started hesitating to reply my messages, prior to making payments he told me that he’d get it immediately the payment dropped, after making payments I kept messaging him for updates to know if the item has been delivered to him, it was almost 2 and half weeks later on the 25th of February he messaged me that he received it, I shop on Amazon frequently and I just knew that he didn’t order it when he promised he would because items rarely take that long to be delivered, that was the last message I got from him,
All emails and messages I’ve sent to him never got a reply, my brother who is currently in the US too tried his Us number too, severally and he told me the number is no longer in service too, this was the same number he used to call me the day I placed the order, the only thing that made me use his services was the empathy he showed when I lost my mum last year, He offered his condolences when he called and I told him I just left US after the burial, I sent the money that instantly because he seemed really genuine- I can remember it was 12pm at night and his call woke me up, I guess that’s how he got into my head, I’ve pleaded with him to refund me and it’s been to no avail, he obviously thinks he’s invisible in US and one think he should know is that my money will never go like that, I’m an orphan and an undergraduate too, I know how it’s hard for me and how I manage myself, 120k is not small, there’s no way he’d go Scotfree with my money I swear, You guys should just be cautious, not everyone

ejihand: Thanks. How fast is items shipped from American to Nigeria they ship only on Thursdays, so if you pay for your items to be shipped before 12pm on a Thursday, you should expect it to be in Lagos in 7 days (usually) So basically I receive items every week, when there’s a hiccup in their services, I receive twice a week (the weeks shipment and the previous week’s shipment) |

drered: Hi Guys,
My first post here. This is my current set up and I’m thinking of upgrading the batteries. I have heard in the past that adding new batteries to a set up would mess the whole grid up and I don’t know how true this is. I am also looking at getting a lithium battery but I’m not sure if my kartel inverter would be compatible with it.
Please advise.
Setup - 5.0KVA 24V Kartel inverter, MPPT solar charge controller, Four 350W solar panels and two 220AH Luminous batteries. Good afternoon boss, please how much will something like this cost me? |
