U better come chop kolanut or drink herbicide grin grin
Someone died and you are laughing about it? And you have Psalms 23 in your signature which shows you are a Church goer ( you will say Christian ). I am ashamed of you. Mocking people who died or what? How funny would it have been if it was one of your own?

I expect your half baked defense.

This is not the time to play politics. The health minister keeps changing his figures every now and then. Doesn't fill me with confidence. If he does not know what he is doing, he should resign or be sacked. He is after all a direct reflection of his aides.

We pay them to be ineffective/inefficient. What a nice way of calling us iidiots.

DollyParton1: This reminds me of the first person that wished me a happy new year this year. The first prayer she said was ..." I pray you get married this year". I had to go mute on her. And she was expecting me to shout Amen!! Or something. She kept saying "say Amen". I simply told her that the prayer I need right now is getting into an internship programme. Then she remembered I was jobless, and was like that's true.
The society is not helping at all. Even if u don't care people around you will frustrate you.
Like 90% of my friends are married and I am very comfortable with them. We visit each other a lot, and we do occasional sleep overs when we can. They discuss their husbands and kids and even their husband's family members with me and really I don't find it offending.
Marriage is the last thing that will intimidate me.
Hmmmm. Me sha see you oo

Very nice woman. Always helpful. May her soul rest in perfect peace.

Sir Alex is a legend but he left United in shambles and they will struggle for years to come ( 3-4 years) because of this.

Sir Alex knew he was retiring him, he should have groomed his successor and put him into his plans. He milked dry his squad and left thereby making it difficult for whoever comes in ( Moyes failed even Guardiola would have failed too.
Sports › Re: Coach Steven Keshi Demands For 15million Per Month by arsetalks(m): 4:32pm On Aug 19, 2014
15m is definitely too much for him. I however believe a middle ground will be reached. However, aside re-hiring Keshi, he should be told to forget winning laurels for now and instead focus on building a very good team for the future.

The maximum expectation from him should be qualification for AFCON and the next world cup. Give him a 6 years mandate and the needed support.

Belgium is not bigger than us, not even as big as Lagos yet they did the same and reaping the dividend.

Unfortunately this deal could put paid to Arsenal's move for William Carvalho. However, it will be interesting to see what happens too Louis Van Gaal when United inevitably miss out on the champions league next season.

I honestly think it will take United could of years ( 3-4) to get back among the top 4. Stars will sadly continue to reject them until they are able to get back to the champions league spots again.

La liga in trouble with Suarez in there. Forget his biting the lad is very good and this is coming from a gunner.

Will be interesting to see where Messi plays though. I suspect he will be pushed back into midfield or they change formation or Suarez on the left wing with freedom to interchange with Messi.

El Classico will be interesting to watch.

Health › Re: Nano Silver Can Cure Ebola – Manufacturer by arsetalks(m): 9:50am On Aug 19, 2014
Onegai: Na wa. Ben Amosu is NOT the doctor who recommended Nano Silver, Ben Amosu has being doing research on a number of African diseases, he has submitted his work for review. That's why I would rather believe in him, he even submitted to WHO but was told they're not the testing body (that I am willing to believe is financial politics being played). He is NOT the quack advocating Nano Silver. The Nano Silver people are taking to social media rather than entering the FDA lab or even demanding a petition on www.change.org to push testing of Nano Silver up fast, like Tekmira (the other ebola drug which showed promise did). No-one is insulting Tekmira or Ben Amosu (legit people), everyone is suspicious of Nano Silver. Big difference

Nobody is stopping Nano silver from being tested, it has actually been tested before in a lab, but results were not promising. However, it was sold on the market as a dietary supplement (you can buy it off aliexpress sef, same with Bio Silver). Ask your relatives about drugs which have "these claims have not been researched by so-and-so" on it, they are not scientifically PROVEN to work, they MAY. So instead of asking concerned families of already infected individuals to put their loved ones lives in danger so you can prove a point, volunteer yourself for human testing, let's find out about ebola and Nano silver. Is that hard?

Spain got it for its priest because he gave informed consent. No-one is willing to send untested drugs to people who are screaming that the country manufacturing the drugs is the one who lab-engineered the disease and the outbreak. Which is what Liberia and Nigeria were saying (that's why Liberians are breaking into hospitals and releasing sick people, ask your 3 relatives on ground). I won't send any untested drug to even my village if they say that, lest it fails to treat them and they escalate it to "Africans are being used as labrats!" Which, be honest, you have heard Nigerians say.

And yes, they wanna make money off it. Wouldn't you want to get paid for your hardwork? If Africa wants to stop being bullied around, they have to start taking responsibility and stop whining "oh this country is sooo noooot faiiirrrr for not helping us". Are we simpletons, don't we go to school, don't our govts travel and experience better-developed countries?? Why can't we do the same or better, why are we always begging? Are you not ashamed? Shame has still not made you guys angry to demand better governance from yourself and your neighbours.
America owes you NOTHING.
Silly. Where have I said Ben Amosu is responsible for the med? And where have I said America owns us anything? The Spaniard got it because he gave informed constent? And you think those who are ill with EBOLA here in Nigeria did not give informed constent or their NOK did not do that? Honestly?

Why didn't America come out and tell us Nano Silver has gone through the necessary test and failed instead of simply tagging it a pesticide?
Health › Re: Nano Silver Can Cure Ebola – Manufacturer by arsetalks(m): 8:48am On Aug 19, 2014
Onegai: America didn't send Zmapp to Nigeria because:

1. THEY DON'T OWE YOU SHI.T! ARE YOU NOT THE GIANT OF AFRICA, IS AMERICA NOT "JEALOUS" OF YOU??
You cannot insult me and expect my help. My cousin was a doctor at GH Lagos Island, a man was brought in stabbed, the nurses checked blood bank and didn't have his blood type. Do you know those animal relatives of his physically attacked my cousin because of that? Is he the person in charge of the blood bank?? He was just the doctor on call that night! When one used plastic chair to hit him across the shoulder, my cousin decided to go to sleep and not treat the patient. All the doctors and nurses supported him. Everyone was now begging. THAT IS THE AVERAGE NAIJA MENTALITY FOR YOU. PFIZER DID POLIO VACCINATION IN THE NORTH AND WERE DEALT WITH, the truth is that we are seen as far too much trouble to be worth help.
My own foster mother gets attacked every day by patients at NHS and she is white and those patients are also whites. It is definitelly not a situation that is peculiar to Nigeria or Africa alone as you would want us to believe.

2. They had no more than a 1,000 doses of every available drug. Nigeria has 15 infected patients, Liberia has over 500. Which number is greater in your mind? Can you buy N20 credit or N500 credit (tell me which is more)? SO WHOM DO YOU THINK NEEDS THE DRUGS MORE, NIGERIA OR LIBERIA AND SIERRA LEONE??
Spain had only one recorded case and that one got treatment. If your maths, is 1 ( Un ) bigger than 12?

3. We knew about this outbreak since March, yet your government still didn't get anything on ground ready to contain it. As of now, WHO and Medecine Sans Frontieres are threatening to pull out of Nigeria, because your govt is playing politics and even refused to visit the isolation ward, and made the infected people's relatives PAY FOR THEIR OWN MEDICATION! Of course, donor nations are aware of what is happening in Nigeria. Nigeria has the capacity to contain this outbreak, we were the country WHO expected to be ready (they even sent videos of the situation on ground in Liberia to sensitize our doctors, it's just now the LASG is showing doctors). Instead, we are unprepared and running around looking for a "miracle".
Liberia is worst. I know cos I have 3 of my relatives with MSF and the reports they are sending back every day is nothing to write home about in fact I as a person have started to assume ( sadly ) that we are now minus 3. Things are bad here we know but not as bad as you and others will want us to believe and hell no, I was/am one of those who really criticised GEJ and his administration for not taking the right steps but the fact that GEJ didn't do the right thing does not mean America should "withhold" help.

4. Zmapp is the only drug so far that has conducted clinical trials on ebola and shown that their drug cured the disease in infected monkeys (no other drugs went that far). That's the only reason they are pushing it. Anybody who had a stockbroker in the US could buy Mapp Pharma shares, I'm pretty sure your govt officials made purchases (to make themselves rich) once the US announced Zmapp treated the US doctor and nurse effectively. While you were bathing with salt water grin
If you and your folks bathed hot water and salt doesn't mean everyone else does does it? Also, why was Zmapp not outright rejected without first putting it through the necessary trials. Do you know what Pesticide is? Thats what Nano Silver got called which is why there are so many conspiracy theories and rightly so.

5. The US didn't want to send Zmapp, they developed the drug and kept it for themselves (incase they had their own outbreak). But some misguided, overhelpful people started shouting that why didn't they send it to Africa since, why has no country saved "poor, suffering Africa" (as usual), so they were forced to send it to look ethical and good. If you knew Barack Obama and understood his administration's foreign policy, it is to NOT get involved too much in external foreign conflicts of any sort. The man inherited Iraq and Afghanistan. He doesn't want more.
Honestly? You honestly believe those who are clamouring for it wanted it for free? It is simple, America wants the situation to get worst before they produce more of the med at much more expensive rate. It is very simple because even if they had sold it to people ( and off course I am not foolish, I know no one will have demanded it for free ) they would have made alot of money and the fact that they are now selling it right now under the diguise that the med is out of stock is the because either 1. They are trying to put us in a tight corner so we can accede to their many dictates or 2. Trying to use the law of demand and supply to hike up price.

If I were you, I would agitate for Ben Amosu's drug to start clinical trials. We need a secure facility for it (we have none), so a team of Nigerian doctors and scientists should go to Uganda (they have a beautiful isolation hospital) or Kenya and START TESTING HIS DRUG. Or if they can get approval from infected patients, start clinical trials in Lagos. But this Nano Silver... undecided
Question is, why was the med termed a pesticide without first asking the man to come forward with his facts and figures and then have him go through a trial?
