Gone are the days when petroleum importers held the country to ransom. By now their associations would have threatened strikes. The issue in the petroleum sector is beyond normal understanding. As soon as Dangote refinery came on board, the mission to sabotage it went into overdrive. Even Government agencies for o obvious reasons discredited the refinery products (DPR).

All these were done in an attempt to maintain the status quo. when there was no 15 percent tarrif, these guys still sold fuel for more than 1k. One thing I know for sure is that, without the refinery, we would be buying fuel at N1200 per liter.

They were making abnormal profits. If it weren't so, they should naturally prefer to buy next door from Dangote instead of importation.

It's high time Nigerians open their eyes and discover who the true enemy are. I'm in full support of the 15% tarrif. Nigeria First policy.

Without Dangote refinery, Nigerians would be buying fuel N1500 per liter by now. Recall it was once sold for N1200, and the narrative given was that landing cost has increased. Each time they wanted to increase fuel price, landing cost was the unanimous reason they all gave.
The question I keep asking is what has happened to the landing cost. we can now see those who were truly behind the misery Nigerians were facing.

Let's look at it this way, those importing are going to navigate the differential in currency, face shipping cost, custom's duty and all administrative charges, finally transportation cost to final consumers. If they pay all these and still sale the fuel at the a price not different from Dangote, then it means they were making abnormal profits selling above 1000.
And the worst was that they kept on defending the evil while Nigerians suffered, well they did so because an average Nigerian doesn't know who to hold accountable. The blame was on Tinubu, and I trust the man, he absolved the shuck, took the insults, now who is feeling the heat, not him any longer but the importers.

The federal government receive all their earning using the CBN official rate and they send the same using the same CBN official rate both In BUhari's regime and Tinubu's regime and that is what I used there to calculate it, are you trying to say the federal government official rate is not valid or was not used by the governments of Buhari and Tinubu for earnings, budgeting and spending?

Under Buhari, FG shared in a single month as much as 700 billion naira at its peak , when converted to dollars that translates to about 1.5 billion dollars at the time, now in Tinubu's administration, the highest he has shared in a single month is about 2 trillion and that translates to just about 1.3 billion dollars, the screenshots are all there(CBN official rates where used for both calculations)
