From the information I got, the DPO in charge of the area was called, and he simply told them to bring the thieves to the station. On hearing his response, one among the area boys said "even the DPO has given them permission to burn them".

Politics / Re: Had Nigeria Implemented The Aburi Agreement, It Would Have Been A Better Country by asfrank(m): 4:21am On Mar 16
AJSfan:
This isnt accurate. The Niger Delta has always cried about marginalization... some part of Niger Delta were part of western region and they fought for regional autonomy resulting in a fourth region BenDel being created.
Other parts of Niger Delta in the Eastern region like the Ijaws too had been crying about marginalization (Isaac Adaka Boro's secession attempt comes to mind). Gowon Attended the meeting at Aburi in good faith and agreed to what Ojuku said but on getting back to Nigeria some traditional leaders from the Niger Delta region met with him like the late Oba Erediawa of Benin who was still a prince then and Obong of calaba met Gowon and explained why it wasn't in their favor for Aburi accord to be followed... so Gowon immediately went ahead to create 12 states (the states were created before the war not after)... this provoked Ojuku who said Gowon refused to honor the Aburi accord
That's exactly what happened..

Crime / Re: The Perils Of Cryptocurrency: A Threat To Nigeria's Currency And Economy by asfrank(m): 5:12am On Mar 01
Walkthetalk:
Paint what false picture?
Is crypto currency all about fraud? You say it as though there's nothing positive about it. Blockchain technology is taking center stage, bit by bit. The US government holds at least 200,000 bitcoins, or billions of dollars. They would rather be at the forefront of any new technology than lag behind. Our Nigerians prefer coming from behind. Binance has violated US laws, and they were fined billions of dollars. Now ask yourself why the US government chose a fine instead of a ban?.

The market capitalization of cryptocurrency is around $2 trillion, and it's expected to go way higher ($8–14 trillion) based on the analysis of some experts. Nigeria ranks among the top 5 for users. Imagine how much of an impact it will have when a sizable portion of the total market capitalization is in the hands of Nigerians.

25% of votes in 2/3 of the states, and FCT. That means FCT should be counted as among the states. If the constitution said 2/3 of the states without mentioning FCT, it means FCT should not be included.
When the Constitution says the States" It refers to only the 36 states FCT is not included, but when it says "and the FCT, it means FCT should be counted as one amongst the states, there by making it 37.

Those who are saying ortom lost cos of G5, i waish to clear your minds.

Benue has a pattern of voting. Based on who they believe in. Ortom is the worst governor in nigeria and the worst in the history of the state!

There is no way that kind of person can win unless he rigs his way.

Presidential Labour ll win in benue.

Apc will win at least 2 out of the 3 senate seats and then Apc ll win governorship.

Thats it.

I am from here and i know the intentions of the people
Labour is not winning any presidential election. APC is going to win. You there Benue So?

Akume Zone B, Rv. Alia Zone A. Where is labour Party getting the votes from. Trying getting facts from those on ground. Zone A and B alone determine who wins elections in Benue state. APC has not performed badly in zone C as well. We don't vote base on hate..

Benue consist of 3 zones, these results are from Akume's zone which is an APC stronghold. The rest two zones will go to LP for presidential election and APC or very few PDP in other positions. Like my constituency we voted LP for president, APC for house of rep and PDP for senate.
Nothing of such is happening here. I am from Benue, Zone A is where the Rv. Fr comes from, and the voting power of that zone is more. APC won virtually everything. I told some folks back then that Labour Party will get majority of their votes in urban areas only. In the rural areas, it's a different ball game

Lol, you guys are funny on Nairaland

Do you think it will make any financial sense for the CBN to completely phase out the old notes without giving Nigerians enough time to exchange their old notes for the new ones? Even the 100 naira note that was designed since 2014 still has it's old ones in use till date.

Do you think the APC led federal government will ever bring out a policy just a few months before an election that will favour the opposition party over them?
I was waiting for someone to make this type of analysis. Most people on this platform reason upside down. ,

It's funny, these Tinubu boys una well so? Who knew Tambuwa was going to step down, it was at the convention ground that things changed. The president has settled for elective primaries since Tinubu is hell bent on it, that doesn't stop him from influencing the votes in favour of his preferred candidate. He is going to beat Tinubu in his own game. Watch out.

The CBN since banned cryptos. The Apex bank recently sanctioned some banks that violated this directive, but you know Nigeria, they will always talk from the two sides of their mouth.
Try using your bank account to directly deal in crypto on Binance or other platform, and see what happens.

Transactions involving Cryptos are illegal in Nigeria as the CBN has repeatedly warned banks and the public against dealing in such.

The customer understands this and I think he or she is trying to swindle you.

You really don't have a case since you dealt in an illegal transaction.

OPay is complying to regulation, they do not want to be fined.

Which law in Nigeria says dealing in crypto currency is illegal?

Investment / FITFI Next Big Thing# Heading To The MOON by asfrank(m): 11:26am On May 01, 2022
If you Have Missed out on StepN (GMT) which was lunched last month, and has seen 3,398.2%, then don't repeat the same mistake.

STEPN (GMT) was listed at the price of $0.100826 that's approximately N60. As of today it's trading around $3.51 (N2077) depending on the exchange value, With an all time high of $4.11.

An initial investment of N20,000 ($33) depending on exchange rate, would amount to N677,840 ($1,145). That's huge returns. Remember the more you invest the more returns.
Now Step App (FITFI) has come onboard and is looking bullish from the start.
Step App is the first app to be built on the Fitness Finance (FitFi) protocol and it was built by FitFi core team.

FitFi’s main aim is to create a physical experience (fitness) within the metaverse through the use of NFTs and geo-location technology. It uses augmented reality for better immersion, which is an added feature of Step’s FitFi metaverse.

Let me cut to the chase, with the louch of the App, which is expected early this month, you can earn crypto by just doing daily exercises, like running and juggling.

Since it was lunched last month, it has seen a 183% increase in price, (still early to move in on this project).

Disclaimer!!!
Potential investors should carry out their due diligence and invest what they are comfortable with. Due a little research

Where to buy Step App (FITFI)
I recommend you can buy it on Bitmart, the link for registration is below. Registration is easy.
Follow the link register, deposit your USDT and purchase FITFI. Thank you, and a blessed day.

Somebody watered the ground and paved the way for him, Aregbe and Amosun were just the purveyors.

Na today e start? It's a normal thing now in Nigeria. It was even modest, if at all it's true.

This one that runs around calling Ortom "Daddy". Defeat awaits him, even his own kinsman don't like him... Rev. Fr. Alia is the real deal. Anything associated with Ortom is a no go area, those in Benue know better.
Uva endorsed and the whole town was quiet, Rev Alia, commission campaign office and the whole town is on stand still. We are waiting...

"I am going to fight dirty" imagine a president making such a statement.

The writer forgot to consider the influence of possible vp to the contenders.
For instance, if Zulum is assured of becoming VP to Osinbajo, definitely the dynamics of the voting pattern of Bornu and other North Eastern states will change.

However, that Lagos is a sure bet for the Jagaban.
Are you sure Ambode will cast his vote for him? I doubt it... It can be 99.9

No need for primaries then, since you all have allocated 7,800 votes already to Tinubu...
I guess the other contenders are just running for fun?
Politics is a game of interest, and where one's interest is best suited, that is the direction they would take.
Wait till the time draws close... Even in Lagos, Tinubu is not assured of 100% votes, unless he is thumbprinting himself.
Been pragmatic is best.
