Barely one month after Obafemi Awolowo Univeristy, Osun State was embroiled in a ‘sex for marks’ scandal, a female student of the University of Lagos has reached out to LIB to share her sad and depressing story of molestation in the hands of one of her lecturers who according to her is a proffesor in the English Department.

The student (name withheld) managed to get Nood photos of her molester in one of their ‘encounters’ and according to her;
I have been suffering this for months now.

Whenever students go to his office for anything he is always trying to touch you. I took pictures of him on one of the days I entered his office. He has made molestation a part of him. I’m even scared for my life in Unilag. That’s why I’m reaching out to you so he can be stopped.
She went on to add that;

He is a profesor in the English department, Faculty of Arts. I am not his first victim. He does this all the time to students. I have completely given up when it comes to academics he has failed me on tests before.

When I talked to him concerning it he told me I should know what to do I am an adult. I feel so dirty for even allowing such an old man touch me. But he doesn’t even care.

As long as you satisfy his wants. I’m tired of everything. He should be stopped before he ruins the lives of other innocent girls in that English department. When he touches me I am always in tears but it doesn’t stop him. Please this is why i am reaching out all I want is for him to be stopped. He is destroying the mental state of girls in Unilag.

I just want him stopped. I reached out because I don’t want him to continue molesting girls. The English department is like a cult. The lecturers have information amongst themselves. They talk about the girls they have slept with and the ones they plan to sleep with. It has been going on for years.

At 45 and 40 respectively , Mr . James Koledowo and his wife , Simi , have experienced the good, the bad and the ugly in their near four years of marriage .

Seen by many in their church and neighbourhood as a happily married couple , Simi admitted that truly they had had exciting moments , but that when it comes to resolving their differences , she could count on her five fingers how many times her husband had apologised to her, even when he was evidently the one at fault.

“Not that he had never offended me and not that he didn ’t know he was wrong at those times , but he just felt a man should not be the one apologising , thinking it was degrading for a man to do that ,” she said in a recent interaction.

From the unprintable things he says anytime they had quarrel to doing certain things a reasonable man should not do to his wife and causing her emotional distress, Simi said she still doesn’t understand why he finds it difficult to admit that he could be wrong and then “ do the needful ” – apologise "

Better if her older lover is not the jealous type, otherwise he has to be constantly available to meet her desire.

“When he’s a lot older than she, the danger is that they are not providing inputs at the same level. This creates an underlying tension. When conflict arises, they perceive it as enormously hostile. I know a college professor, 49 who waited until the woman he loved, now 28, finished her B.A. before marrying her. He wanted a real wife and marriage. It started out as a honeymoon, but now he says he’s stuck with a teeny-bopper. She feels she’s trapped with a has- been. This couple has big problems finding common interests. She loves pop music, he like classical. She is hooked on fast foods, he enjoys home made meals. At first differences in tastes seem trivial, but in a marriage they are very important. I see success for an older man/girl relationship only if both people can change and grow together.

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has spoken concerning the war of words between Kemi Olunloyo and Linda Ikeji over the latter’s pregnancy.

Kemi Olunloyo had on her Instagram accused Linda of wearing a prosthetic bump after she made a lengthy emotional post, chronicling her journey and her excitement when she found out she was pregnant.
She said Ikeji was neither engaged nor pregnant.

However, Linda in a post addressing Kemi Olunoyo’s claim, queried why someone who she helped while in prison could utter false claims about her pregnancy.

Speaking on the recent face off, Tonto urged Kemi Olunloyo to use her motherly instinct, focus on making her life better and leave Linda alone.

Don’t absolve your partner of accountability for the affair by thinking that you should love your partner unconditionally, or put their happiness before your own.
Resist diminishing the affair as a “little mistake.” Don’t chide yourself for overreacting. It’s true that the affair was probably a symptom of problems in your relationship. And it might be true that you contributed to the problems that led to the affair. But it’s also true that your partner had other options—other ways to express dissatisfaction or disappointments. Your partner chose to have an affair. You didn’t make that choice for your partner.
