As far as i am concerned, i think Uber is still more profitable although may be not totally in terms of how much you earn from riders but their promos are awesome. infact, i just got a credit of 40K in my account for referring a car owner. i took my car from a driver who almost ruined my car since May and i am doing it at my leisure time which is mostly saturdays alone. i have earned free 20K in May with today's 40K and i have not lifted a single passenger for 3 weeks now

Uber doesn't pay the referral fee's for referring drivers, according to Uber, referral fees will be paid, if you refer a car owner/partner that drives for Uber and after 20 trips completed.

Sometimes I feel Uber cant be trusted with their promotional messages, more like they are out to deceive people.

Sure. The money will be paid upon completion of 20 trips. There is no doubt about this. I received 20k when someone referred my driver after he had completed 20 trips and I am expecting 40k today for referring a colleague of mine whose driver completed 20 trips last week. RIP to the dead...I know Tosin Adefolarin right from his very child hood...a very gentle and cool headed boy. He is always either with his bible, reading his books or going to a closeby church for weekly services. Tosin was my landlady's grandson and the news of his death on tuesday threw the entire street to shock. The last time he came home from school, he came around midnight that everyone in his flat had slept that he had to pass the night in our apartment and left for ilorin again the next day. I remember giving him the book 'road to victoria island' to read and make sure he comes out with a first class. Tosin...God knows best. I will forever remember you...RIP

Access bank give out cars to their ETs after training school...so they deduct this money monthly from their so called 237k pay monthly for close to 2 yrs...so at the end of the month they get close to 150k monthly....GTB pay 209k and union pay 198k

I remember passing the test in August and doing 2 interviews the following day. Never heard from them till date. Thank God i moved on even while i felt bad that i lost out on their working conditions (like being converted after 1 or 2 years and 80k wey belike big money for my eye). I never knew better offer was awaiting me the following month of which the training school pay equals what UBA pays as salary (nawa ooo). I now work as a full staff with very juicy pay. All thanks to God. I want you all to put your trust in God in everything you do. If UBA had called me for training school, i would not have been able to attend any other engagements that could bring me this far.

Its so pathetic and demoralizing that we leave in a country where certificate is the most sort after by our indigenous firms and even foreign firms. I sat down after going through NYSC and My parents are already looking at me in 3D as regards what's next.

I submitted my spiral bind C.V but the Secretary of that firm quickly glanced through my details but was disappointed to see 2:2 (3.32 CGPA) which stated in it and told me straight-up that I shouldn't be expecting a call!! I was pissed off, do u mean 3.32 CGPA is a poor result? I just went out and up till now after 3month no call from them.

The question is where are we going in this country? Two(2) factors all companies display while placing recruitment adverts; Your Age (24yrs nd below) and supposed good grade (1st class or 2:1). Now tell me are graduates with 2:2 really that lazy while in school? The Answer is simply 'NO' so many factors are really involved, I've seen a brilliant guy in school who felt sick on the day of his set last papers which sucked his GP heavily.

If you've got your 1st class or 2:1 and you are gainfully employed in a cool company with good pay lucky you and I wish you all the best, for those still looking out for a good job the lord shall answer "OUR" prayers but doing something with your saved Allawee is not a bad idea anyway!!

The issue is your conception sir/ma and its a misconception that had derailed many graduates especially those with 2.2. The fact is many first class and 2.1 holders are either jobless or doing a low income job.

Let me tell u a brief story.

Immediately I finished service I knew I was less privileged in terms of my 2.2 which would hardly get me a good job test invite but with my determination, strong will, hardwork and prayers, I got a 40k bank sales job just 2months after my POP. While managing that job I made sure I had decent exposure into the financial sector, I treked the whole VI, Ikoyi and Lagos island, nicely dressed distributing my CV, I made many friends here on NL and sometimes share info about gate-crashing one test or the other. I finished from a state university which is not even in top 20 schools in Nigeria and also with a 2.2 but I have a strength which is my knowledge of the financial sector which I use in dazing most interviewers. They often ask my why I finished with a 2.2.
Today by the grace of God, I am one of those earning the so-called 'arm robber' salary and a full staff of a top financial institution with my 2.2 and no professional course

I understand that the Senate today passed a "Vote of Confidence" on the Senate Present, Bukola Saraki and I can't help but wonder what is the relevance? How would that change any decision made by a law court or the CCT? And how many "Vote of Confidence" would he 'bagged' before his tenure expires? He has gotten two already. Why is it necessary if indeed the confidence is there? If you constantly have to remind your younger brother that you are older than him then something is wrong with your 'eldership'.
