Good morning all

Please I need a sample of the mail sent to the embassy for change of plans. I have searched for it but all I could see was just peoples comment about it. I didn't see the mail. I did not lie about my pregnancy during my interview, I had my visa several months before I got pregnant.

kykes: @ijaymama, @santa2 and anyone who used Dr. Le,
I just got off the phone with his office and was billed 2700. I hope I can renegotiate when I get there like some of u did but I have booked an appointment.
The issue is they say they don't give any email correspondence to back up dr cost or confirm appointment. I believe these docs are crucial at POE. What do I do? Does anyone have a cost breakdown that I can work with for POE? SOS!!!!!!!
@ Kykes: How much does the hospital Dr. Le use charge? Also is the 2700 for CS or vaginal delivery? And were you told of some of the other costs like pediatrician, extra days, circumcision etc?

lizcom25: Every pregnant woman have a choice to make for safety purpose. Why will you wait till 35/36 wks bfore flying? Whatever that will keep you till then is the choice you have made over safe journey and birthing
@ lizcom25: People have their personal reasons why they have to wait till 35weeks or even later before travelling. Whatever reason it is, nobody prays to have a baby in a plane or in one isolated Island or even having the plane make an emergency landing then the persons name will be all over the newspaper. NOOOOOOO!!!! Please lets be careful when making comments. comments like this instill fear in peoples. God will help us all.

Nita2013: Hi ashleybaker, I won't lie it was indeed a long flight from dubai-chicago about 14hrs 40mins (though we arrived Chicago earlier) but it was a comfortable flight because Emirates economy is d premium economy(a higher economy) of other airlines like BA. There was enough leg room so u could stretch ur legs very well. Also d crew members knew I was pregnant so they kept asking me if I was ok and kept filling my bottles with water (but toilet bcame my best friend-which was very good). U can ask for fruit as many times as u want (they will oblige u since u r pregnant). Pls do not drink anything (tea, cofee, sweet drink, fruit juice etc) apart from water. Also make sure u stand up and walk about a lot for better blood circulation (no one would stop u).
Also their movies were uncountable so u could occupy urself with some when u r not sleeping. I could not sleep though so I watched movies and walked around.
In all I enjoyed d flight as their service was exceptional.

Hi Nita2013, thanks for your detailed comment. My confident level to fly this long hours via Emirate has been boosted. I will just do as you have said. Then please you explain the dubai connect thing. Does it have to do with the hotel booking during the layover? Am lost here. help sis.

lanis: pls note that Oakbend prices ll b reviewed too, starting from Oct 1st. here r d quotes for ur perusal
old prices new prices
Normal d(2nights) 2150. 2300
c-section(3nights). 3200. 3500
twins,each additional 500
each additional day mom 350
each additional day baby. 350
tubal ligation(after delivery) 500
circumcision (after discharge). 150
observation. lesser of 50/hr or 600.
@Lanis, this price review issue na wa ooo. All these hospitals don do meeting for our head abiii? Dr. Fagbohun didn't mention this. Is that why the circumcision fee is now 300? How much was each additional day before?

Hello All,

Like @Damsell and Tvegas have rightly pointed out that the VOs are beginning to raise an eyebrow regarding Del Sol. I would suggest that we should try out other hospitals. There are so many hospitals in the US with good child delivery package. And to be sincere there are so many hospitals in the same range of Del Sol in different cities. Some of us just come here ask questions and questions without even reading previous posts and off we run to the embassy with Del sol correspondence letter. If some ladies here didn't do their research we wouldn't see the different options here. Lets not over do it and you know this people get annoyed so easily. Before you know it the frustration will start coming on new applicants and all they will get is a refusal for no reason. Mihs will soon be the next point of call for complain. Ladies lets try and do some research. Congrats to the all those that just had their babies and to the ladies travelling soon. I wish you all a safe trip and a sweet delivery experience. Love

Here are some estimated charges, that should be regarded as estimates based on previous charges for a delivery at JPS Health Network and not necessarily what charges would be after a delivery.

Non-Emergent Caesarian Delivery - $15,000 to $20,000 – does not include doctor, anesthesia, radiology, prenatal care or baby
Newborn Baby - $6,000 – does not include intensive care or care provided outside of newborn nursery

Thank you again for your question, please let me know if I can help any further.

SportsUganda - Olympic Champion Kiprotich Given Hero's Welcome by ashleybaker(op): 10:45am On Aug 16, 2012
Crowds in Uganda have given a hero's welcome to Stephen Kiprotich, the country's first Olympic gold medal winner in 40 years.
Kiprotich, a prison warden who won the men's marathon on Sunday, was then presented with a cheque for $80,000 (£51,000) by President Yoweri Museveni.
He was also promoted nine ranks to become an assistant superintendent in the prisons service.
Mr Museveni promised that more would be done to invest in athletes in future.
people lined the street as Kiprotich waved from an open-top car with the personalised number plate "UG GOLD".
At one stage the convoy was forced to stop by the crowds blocking the road on the way to State House, where Kiprotich had breakfast with the president, she says.
After Kiprotich was presented with the cheque, he asked the president if he would build a house for his parents in north-eastern Kapchorwa district.
Mr Museveni agreed that a three-bedroom house would be constructed.
The president also admitted that funding in sports had suffered as the country had concentrated on development projects such as building schools and roads.
But he promised that in future all athletes who won international medals would receive a 1m Ugandan shillings (about $400) monthly stipend to help them train.
A high-altitude training school would also be built, he promised.
Correspondents say the reaction in Uganda to Kiprotich's victory has been euphoric.
The state-owned Vision media group set up a fund to raise prize money for the runner after he won on Sunday - and in three hours raised more than $100,000 - it aims to make it to $500,000.
Uganda's last Olympic champion was 400m hurdler John Akii-Bua, who won gold at Munich in 1972.

FamilyRe: Spanking Your Child In Public by ashleybaker: 8:28am On Aug 16, 2012
I would never disrespect my child in the public by insulting or spanking for any reason. If you report my child to me that he/she did something bad. I would apologise to you but go home and ask my child and correct him/her at home explaining why he/she should not do it again.
