Aydwale,
Congrats and wish you luck in your new endeavour. My package was returned yesterday with the reason that they are not sure am a bonafide student despite the fact that they accepted that my papers are genuine and i do not have any problem with finances, which kain reason be that but i guess i cause it,i should have listen to Ezinwa when she said i should pay when the college was pressurising me.

Its quite painful though as i had made all arrangement with my company and now, trying to talk to them to defer my leave of absence till probably next Jan or Sept as the school says they will get back to me if they are going to take student for Jan. No sweat, life continues.

Igbogbo, wish you well too.Having foreign certificate on once CV does something to the emploer and don't blame them.Till next year, struggle continues

Niagara College Canada to do a postgraduate study in Environmental studies.I already paid the deposit 0f 250 canadian deposit requested and another deposit towards my homestay arrangement.I have money to pay the fee in my account but my uncle will fund the maintenance and my company approved my leave of absence with just basic salary payment.Like Adeywale, just worried that all my arrangement should not be in vain.

ha!this don tire me too.I was just contemplating make payment without waiting for the approval again as my school is harassing me as in i have gotten three letters from them saying they want my commitment as they need to take position on number of students coming and i kept pleading for time and even send their reminder to embassy but no reply.

Thank God,i have a good job and going to canada is not the end of the world, just that quality education gives you a lot of opportunities and in many organisation, you are place ahead of your contemporaries.Well, lets wait and see but Adeywale, its well.

This forum is really good and its helping a lot of students.Iam in the same shoe with Aydewale though i submitted mine 2nd of june withy the following documents:

-My bank statement with a balance of 1.6m
-Share certificates in my name
-My uncle statement showing about 6,ooo pounds and over 1m in Naira in his personal account thyough he doesnt have tax certificate as he is a retiree and has no dependent except his wife as all his kids are grown up and well settle
-Approval of Leave of Absence from my company saing my basic only will be paid while iam away and no contribution towards the educational pursuit and will refund all the payment if i fail to come back
-My Appointment letter and tgransfer to Abuja as the Manager
-Show my other source of income
-Statement of Objective

Iam confuse too as its taking long and the school will resume end of Aug and the school is threatening to withdraw my studentship if i dont pay up as they cant wait for embassy approval again but the Embassy already says you need not pay till ur study permit is approved and i dont know what to do again as i have finalise all arrangement from my end. ve forwarded the mail to the embassy with the hope that i can know my fate before paying.

Any suggestion on what to do please

I need advice from the veteran on school visa:

I just got admission from Niagara College Canada to do a postgraduate study in Environmental studies and presently working in Abuja as an Office Manager and my sponsor will be my father-in-law and we are about to pay the entirew school fees before presenting my application to the embassy. He will be my sponsor in his own personal capacity as my husband works with him in his company though what is left will be maintenance and the school has gotten homestay family arrangements for me.

What do you think i should be prepared for at the embassy and any useful information will be appreciated
