can somebody pls help wit d tp of ATN on w4

i tracked it wit 60cm dish in akure and i hit 83 percent on dat particular tp. So if u are in southwestern part of nigeria, i think 60cm will do. Remember when trackin, your dish will be facing upward into the sky. Happy huntin

Greetings 2 d gurus 1ce again. An rs323 cable is used 2 conect a receiver to a pc(i stand 2 b corected if am wrong) so my question(s) are
1. Why do u need 2 cut it and do some pin connections as implied in d faq of fta thread?
2. What is meant by a null modem and what is its use in fta?
3. What is meant by male or female hole(or ends or somethin like that)?
I use 4669x so u can use dat as example in ur explanation(if need be). Thanx

wow, after almost 3 hours of huntin in fta reserve forest, i finally shot down my 1st ever bird named sirius 4. Am now growin little by little in fta world. Thanks to d gurus here. I was able to hit 81% on 12605v wit a 60cm dish in akure. Am happy

4ft in metres is 1.2192 so i guess dats 120cm dish
6ft is 1.83 m(180cm dish)
7.5 is 2.3 m( Probably 2.4m dish)

pls @ all, these new channels on w4 cant it be viewed on a 65 cm dish. The tps is hitting red on my 65 cm dish. I am gettin all dstv and hitv stations. I use 4669x

is anybody gettin the new w4 channels on a 65cm dish? Am hittin 30-35% signal on the given tp on my 65cm dish. The maximum signal i have for other channels(paid) is 70%. I am in akure

am in akure and am usin 65cm strong dish wit 4669x. So my next question which we help me clarify dis matter is
::-is it possible to track d tp of a satellite say astra(as in my case) frm another satellite option(ew6)? coz when he was trackin d multi tv then, i was there with him though i never understood d stuff then and he never selected astra 2b,he just selected ew6 frm d options of satellites and he also selected another tp frm d list of preset tps under w6 and started trackin. Also when i go to dish installation setings on d 4669x decoder, i found out dat ew6 is powerd on and my installer placed it in port 4 of d diseqc switch while d 2nd dish(w4) is in port 2. Thanx 4 ur anticipated reply

pls may i suggest for the sake of we newbies that anybody announcing a match should pls state d station alongside d satellite like some pple have been doing but some do not and this leaves me kinda lost.

Frm what ve gathered i believe multi tv& infinity tv shuld be on astra 2b and also chekin lyngsat anybody conected 2 w6 shuld get 2m national, a moroccan station. This is my source of confusion coz d satelite i hired an installer 2 help me instal b4 i started researchin abt fta has a dish conected 2 w6, but ironically i am watchin multi tv, infinity tv, crtv,gtv,real tv and others all on dis 21.6 deg w6 but i am nt getting 2m national and other statns dat shuld b on w6 frm lyngsat. So i am watching what i shuld nt be watchin on w6 & nt getting what i shuld be gettin on w6 as stated in lyngsat. Could smbody pls shed some light on dis with explanations cos am curious to knw what could av happend
