IGpro1: the day Ghana becomes a threat to France in ecowas, you would have an Insurgency that would take a bulk of your money...western togoland would be used to distabilize GH. Then Cote d'ivoire would mock you all day and night. I said it before I'll say it again if ISIS in Africa set there sites on Ghana today via the north of the country, Kumasi and Accra would be overrun come January and Nana would be getting beheaded live on Tv by the end of the month assuming he hadn't already fled the country.

IGpro1: please have a little bit of shame when showing your ignoRANT ..Egypt doesn't play politics with Africa, they belong in the Arab world, they have Zero say in AU... contributes 0 personnel to AU forces...study African history.damn!!! The only time Egypt pays considerable attention to Africa is when there's an immediate threat to them from the region like the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam or the border dispute with Sudan. Now all of a sudden they want to sing Pan Africana and suggest a United African Army Force.

Kazikazi: Yes DRC could easily become africas superpower. But as you said its all about leadership. Actually, DRC has more potential of being Africa's superpower than anybody else. That's the repeating problematic mindset I see time and time again from Africans everywhere. All many ever talk about is NATURAL RESOURCES but fail to understand if you lack the HUMAN RESOURCES to match aka BRAINS it's useless. Japan lacks any substantial amount of resources yet there in the top 5 economies, arguably the most advanced country with one of the highest living standards on Earth. Yea they work themselves to suicidal levels of depression and they got very favorable trade deals especially from the US but you get my point. If Japan with there current level of Human Resources had 25% the amount of Natural Resources Africa has and they decided to go Imperial again the rest of the world would be Fcked!

samdunzo: True, but you know most of these minerals are starting to be phased out. Also, Rwanda is a problem there as well, as they've been smuggling minerals. I think Nigeria should strengthen our ties with DRC, Ethiopia & Eritrea, Egypt, and South Africa. Cuz these are the countries that I think have the most potential in Africa Nigeria should start out with absorbing West Africa kicking out the French and revitalizing the region. Then strengthen ties with Central Africa(Cameroon, Chad, both Congos, Gabon, Angola etc). Ethiopia and Eritrea are liabilities they routinely flip flop between Pan Africanism and Anti-Africanisn. They also tend to give the middle finger to the rest of Africa and boot lick Westerners and Arabs when the moment suits them. There a potential future Trojan Horse. Relations with them can remain standard. I'd rather see Tanzania as the primary Eastern allie. Sure closer ties to Egypt can work but not to close same with Morocco and Algeria. South Africa can stay bilateral as it is.

Nigeria has an order for 2 x units of this vessel.
Delivery is looking likely to be 1st quarter 2021 Wake me up when there's a mass order of Frigates or Corvettes. |

pacino26: I think there is a lot the Russians don't want to share at this stage. Their withdrawal caused some setbacks in funding but with 76 SU-57 and 5 B-Hunters, Russia already have their airspace defended. Orders are coming in but I think it will be for other variants of the craft. Trust issues eh. I googled it and all I found where 10-12 confirmed SU-57 Fighters. |

pacino26: The final version will be a 6th Gen fighter jet as proposed by both Sukhoi and MIG. I have been following close updates on the development of this fighter jet and I must confess the Russians are taking their time with it.
The SU-57 is going to be the building platform for the 6th Gen fighters. Integration with their stealth Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik-B was seamless during test flights and what we are going to be seeing on the future is the SU-57 commanding a series of drones in combat.
It's a new era and the Russians are doing well in comparison with the US with a very deep military budget. Why did India drop out of the project complaining of its shortcomings in many of it's parameters then? |
