So what are your takes on the Ethiopian Grand Renaissance Dam situation? I've spoke to Ethiopians irl and on the internet and many believe that Egypt & Sudan will just sit there and take it with no action. huh I've even spoke to some that believe that the Ethiopian Airforce can defend against any Egyptian attempt on the Dam. lipsrsealed.

One guy even told me that if Egypt successfully attacked the dam Ethiopia would blow up the Aswan Dam and occupy Cairo. shocked grin When I sked many why are they so confident in Ethiopia's ability to take on Egypt after their defeat in the Tigray region they typically say something like "Egypt has never won a war" or "Do you know our history we defeated Egypt many times in the PAST". grin

According to just about every Black Person on Youtube if Egypt attacks Ethiopia all Sub Saharan nations and blk people across the world will declare war on Egypt. shocked grin
Also do you think Turkey take tge opportunity to try something? grin

Nigeria is growing while South Africa is degrading. Nigeria will be eclipsing South Africa in the foreseeable future.

Stop the "Black"/African nonsense looting happens all over the world everyday by all ethnicities of people. It's a state of the community thing obviously poorer communities and places hit by disaster are more prone to do petty looting than the Rich that do there looting in a completely different way. smiley

Rwanda is not the richest country in Africa or the most powerful country in terms of military equipment.
But deploying 1000 troops to Mozambique to help fight Islamic insurgents, shows that African problems can be solved by Africans in the best interest of Africans.

When others research "in-depth" for themselves the text books evidence will be there for them to decide this, not you or me. Ultimately you or i did not go out on the field, researched for years, made discoveries and published our findings. We are shamefully relying on white people's work and as is evident in what you read and what I read, how they differ, they can twist information to fit thire political agenda or peddle contradictory evidence because they are unsure and still benefit from book sales. Besides of this, common sense should tell us migration flows from greatest numbers to lowest. Igbo number approximately 30/40 million in present day Nigeria. Where the are now in Nigeria is almost certainly their original homeland.
Nah it's almost entirely from Cameroon let it to. wink

Litmus:
The Migration start-point was centred in the east of Nigeria encompassing the part of Cameroon near Nigeria. I read this in numerous books taking their sources from competent researchers in the field. For some reason, the start point of this migration has been steadily shifted to Cameroon in contemporary literature. I personally believe that this shifting of the start point of the great migration from what is now Nigeria ending in South Africa to from Cameroon to South Africa owes more to political tinkering, perhaps some of these bogus Afrocentric Kemet, Nemet, Queen and Kings type works etc, than any new findings in the fields. The problem is that Nigerians don’t seem to take these things seriously because Nigerians are ignorant of how important they are to National grounding.
I've already proved you wrong with facts so I'm dropping this pseudo history debate. Keep telling yourself whatever makes you happy. Ignorance is bliss for you types I guess. smiley

Bantu are originally from Nigeria, actually. The start point of the migration to South Africa is located in Nigeria and some parts of the area of Cameroon near Nigeria. As a youngster I had tons of Anthropological literature that stated this. But I guess politically motivated books (and Black scholars doing bogus research) of recent are revising history.
That's not completely true that's strategic pseudo history. There are Bantus in Nigeria but there not aboriginal they where a small wave that moved and settled in the West from Cameroon before launching the Southern waves later .

Fight banditry, insurgency, not Kanu, Umar tells FG

A former military governor of Kaduna State, Col. Abubakar Umar (retd.), on Wednesday knocked the All Progressives Congress and Federal Government led by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) for giving undue attention to the arrest of leader of Kanu than the banditry, kidnapping ravaging the country.

Umar argued that it was disturbing that rather than concentrating on insecurity threatening to cripple the country, the Buhari regime was celebrating the arrest the IPOB leader.

The former governor stated this in a statement titled, ‘Nigeria: A nation challenged.’

Recall that Umar lost his commission in the Nigerian Army as a result of his principled stance on the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election acclaimed to be won by the late Chief MKO Abiola.

He said on Wednesday that the Federal Government must go beyond the arrest of the Kanu and pay more attention to more security challenges threatening to cripple Nigeria.

Umar argued that for the average northerners living in the North-West and North-East, who had been affected by the activities of banditry, kidnapping and insurgency, the arrest of Kanu had no consequence, “since it does nothing to ameliorate his harsh and brutal condition.”

He said, “The re-arrest of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, elicited congratulatory messages to the Federal Government which appears overwhelmed by the intractable security challenges and in dire need of any redeeming act.

This is clearly an exaggeration of the security threat Nnamdi Kanu and indeed IPOB pose to our nation’s security and unity. It is quite strange and disturbing that the Federal Government is paying undue attention to the threats of separatist movements in contrast to the more daunting ones posed by bandits, kidnappers and insurgents in the North West, some parts of North-Central and North-East.”

He lamented those activities of “those criminals have resulted in the evacuation of over 20 per cent the villages in the North-West and North-East. Hundreds are being murdered and maimed every week. Many more are kidnapped for ransom.”

He said, “Over 1,000 schoolchildren were abducted in the past eight months with over 300 still in the hands of the bandits and kidnappers who are demanding humongous ransom. Rape of women and young girls has become a daily occurrence. Most economic activities, particularly farming, the mainstay of the people in these areas, are now all but impossible.”

Umar counselled the government to deploy non-violent means in addressing the growing restiveness in the South-East of the country.

He, however, noted that “IPOB and its leader may well be responsible for some of the violence, including the murder of security personnel, arson and destruction of public and private properties for which they should be held to account.”

While touching on the unity of the country, the former governor argued that Nigeria was better as one and indivisible entity than disintegration.

The former governor carpeted the Buhari regime for not processing the skills in the management of the nation’s diversity.

Truth be told, the Buhari administration has so far exhibited poor skills in its management of our diversity. Yet it has the benefit of great examples by past administrations and statesmen which should guide it,” Umar said.

RiceProducers:
The Nigerian Airforce got $1b.
So it is essentially NAF budget.
I guess at least 6 MI 35M, possibly the rumored new M346FA, maybe six more JF17.
Lots of UAVs.
The NAF has never been comprehensively financed like this since Nigeria became an independent Republic.

Interestinhly, most aircraft manufacturers are now asking for 100% upfront payment so we are not going to be seeing procurements in 3s and 4s any longer.
We would be buying in squadrons.
kabe1:
Nigerian Air Force is getting $600 million not $1 billion.

Unsurprisingly as the are by far the most effective branch of the military.

I agree that the remaining 7 MI-35M helicopters would be gotten.

I think more JF-17s and at least 2 additional MI-17 helicopters would be purchased.

Nigeria would not buy M346FA with this money as we really don't have a pressing requirement for that aircraft at this stage.

Nigeria might continue to buy aircrafts in 3's and 4's as we consider infrastructural development to be more important than military spending.

There won't be a wholesale investment in the military at the expense of infrastructure.
kabe1:
I agree that NAF has a long term replacement plan for the Alpha Jets. However that replacement would not be done with this fund.

NAF would not buy additional UCAVs with this fund either, we already have 8 units which have been paid for, also existing UCAVs in service.

Remember we lost a couple of light transport aircrafts, some of which double as ISR aircrafts. They need to be replaced. I can count 3 units lost.

There is also a need for additional Skyhawks (MI-35m), including MI-17.

We need to order an additional batch of JF-17s.

So these are the areas NAF would most likely spend in my opinion.
Can anyone confirm if this is true. tongue

I'm a patriot too. I've read all those stats about our country alot of times, but what are good stats, if they don't reflect on the people.
People are more hungrier today than they were six years ago. We have a wide economy, still our people are not benefiting. Nobody is saying Nigeria is poor. No. We are saying Nigerians are poor. Today alone, I've met two people well dressed coming to me to ask for money for feeding. I just gave them the little i got. People are hungry. I don't know how 2023 is gonna be. There might be anarchy.
Our economy is growing slower than the population. Someone once posted how much we earn as a country in a year. Its low.
Right now, tens of millions of our population haven't eaten breakfast. Nobody is happy with this poor conditions. People are going to bed without dinner. The few middle income population who eat three square meals are considered lucky.
We have a poor population. What's a country without its population? Its failing
Sure bro keep telling yourself that whatever helps you sleep night but facts don't care about your feelings. You people can't play the victim card forever. By your own logic ALL developing countries from Africa to South America to Asia are "failing". Go be a corner crybaby by yourself misery doesn't need company. wink

Sir, Nigeria is a failed state because everyone including me and you decided to be docile! Six years ago we were not so much in this mess we find ourselves as a nation. We elected a nomadic president without no clear cut ideas and vision on how to rule a diverse nation.
Today, we have some marauding terrorist killing and kidnapping people everywhere they go. All the gains that was made economically and otherwise has been eroded by the nepotistic terrorist sitting in Aso Rock.
Nigeria is at a crossroad! We need men and women of goodwill and of great conscience who will put the project of Nigeria at the forefront before their personal gain. We don’t have sincere leaders rather what we have are dealers who are ready to profit on anything.
False; just becuase your a worthless failure doesn't make it the states fault. Blame the person in the mirror for the fact your a loser not other people, groups, or a nation.

In this day and age when there's serious talk about colonizing Mars and voyaging beyond the stars it's a d1ck measuring contest we want to do here. I'm seriously ashamed. I thought we had grown past that stage.

That said, anyone comparing Nigeria to Ghana should have his/her head examined. Nigeria is verging towards a failed state if it already isn't and the countries it should rightly be compared to include the likes of Afghanistan and other sh1tholes of creation. That's the truth, no matter how many here will allow their misguided patriotism to lead them into saying otherwise.
If Nigeria is a failed state then Ghana is a failed Village of a Dumpster Fire.

The Facts/Stats...

Nigeria trumps Ghana in most fields. Nigeria has a far superior economy, education, business, industry, industrialization, agriculture, technology, entertainment industry and cultural influence. Let's not forget the most Successful companies dominating in Ghana are either South African or Nigerian. Let's not forget Nigeria also donates Ghana energy and other material leaving the state indebted to Nigeria.

Ghana has 2 functioning airports, Nigeria has 31 with 4 International, Ghana 2 seaports, Nigeria 6 with another 5 new ones under constuction, Ghana 1 airline, Nigeria about 13 airlines, Ghana 10 universities, Nigeria 150 universities, Ghana use old train locomotives, Nigeria standard guage fast trains, Ghana imports from Nigeria, most of ghana food, products, gas, plane parts etc, Nigeria import from ghana cocoa, agriculture some products Nigeria No 1 rice producer in africa, No 1 cassava, No 1 seaseme seed, No 1 fisheries, No 2 maize, No 1 fruits, No 1 goats, No1 eggs etc, ghana no 2 cocoa, miliitary Nigeria No 4 top military in africa, Ghana no military tanks, no military artillery etc, top 10 most beautiful cities in africa, 2 from Nigeria, non from ghana, top 10 best iniversities in africa 2 from Nigeria, 0 from ghana, top 10 best hospitals in afica 1 from Nigeria, 0 from ghana, top 10 best banks in africa 2 from Nigeria, 0 from ghana.

Ghana is a Village by comparison.
"Ghana be Village" - Shatta Wale

Nigeria has been gradually building all her wealth, infrastructure for awhile now. Even more like mega projects are being built like Eko(African Dubai), Centenary City, Imperial international Business City, Ayimba Economic City, Orange Island, and Greater Port Harcourt City. Other projects such as homes, buildings, hospitals, roads, dams, powerplants, and rails are being  completed every year.

Nigeria will be in the top 10 largest economies come 2050-60. Nigeria has one of the fastest growing middle classes in the developing world. NIGERIA home to the richest and most influential Black Man Aliko Dagote, and the most Independent, Wealthy, Progressive, Industrious, and cultured Black People in the world. Nigeria's Rich are 99% Black unlike the other African countries who's wealthy are primarily White Colonist and Asian immigrants. All Nigerian businesses are native owned and expansive all over Africa only rivaled by those of Afrikaner South Africa.

Nigerias's position has moved up on the global ranking from 41st to 35th wow 6 positions! shocked Almighty Egypt & South Africa has dropped a few while Algeria has risen. I'll admit I think Morocco should be 3rd. Also looks like Ethiopia's position has been plummeting I remember they used to be 4th. I personally believe Senegal should be 15th and Ivory Coast 16th.
