Guys, I formated my HP Recovery D, because of the annoying constant reminder to back up since it was already filled. Though I am not having problems yet with my laptop, I now worry that I will be helpless in the event of a crash. Pls help. What should I do? |
Nigerians are cowards that is why the leaders treat them anyhow. Can't you see how people pour out to the street in real countries to demand for a change whenever their interest is compromised. So you either act or shut up and endure however you are treated. |
As for me I can never get tired of fresh fish in "Edikai ko" with akpu/garri transported with soft drink |
Lithium ion (Lion) Batteries which is the type used by almost all laptops and cell phones have internal circuits that cut-off the battery when fully charged(prevent overcharging) and shut the battery down when it reaches a critical low(Prevent damages that could permently damage the battery from over discharging). Hot enviroment though gradually shorten the life of batteries-your computer is such enviroment. Ideally, Refrigerator is a perfect place to store batteries. Remember to charge before storage as leaving your battery 4 a very long time when not charged can permenantly damage the battery, due to inevitable gradual discharge(the internal circuit cannot prevent discharging beyond critical low during storage). |
May her soul rest in peace! Mariam will be missed by many. She was the most glamourous & passionate first Lady Nigeria ever had. And her program touched more lives than "others" I am glad Babangida stood by her till death, unlike shameless current first lady who has abandoned her husband to rot in Arabia. |
That the north is more developed infrastructurally, is true. This can easily be explained by the kind of tribal politics at play in the country-The North has virtually been in power since independent. But what is unfortunate is that the North has failed to eploit this infrastructural development and translate it to economic development, hence the high poverty index. The main question though should be what is the way forwad? instead of engaging in endless bickering and comparism. The world is passing us by. |
@Topic, Men and women are not equal in a relationship and definitely wont be judge same, when it comes to cheating. Although I don't condone cheating by men in principle, But about 90% of the time a man cheats, it is because of the woman not living up to expectation. Women once married, tend to be careless. The forgot they can recreate man's natural quest for variety right there in the home. |
If he had had the courage to get treatment in a hospital in Nigeria-a country he is the president, I would have visited him. All the same I wish him quick recovery as a human being. |
@post How old is dis ur man? |
The move is at best a distraction and at worst an empty blabbling by the Nigerian Police force. Shouldn't NPF rather concentrate on improving its image home and abroad , and arresting many comfirmed political thieves at their doorstep, rather than issuing useless warants It knows will be dismissed with a wave of hand by either Interpol or any foreign government. |
It has been authoritatively learnt from doctors handling Yar’adua’s case that his return to Nigeria has been put off indefinitely, after it was discovered that his kidneys and pancreatic functions had diminished considerably. A source, who spoke to a family member, disclosed that the most recent prognosis pertaining to Yar’adua’s kidneys was described as “dreadful.” The source specifically stated that the functioning of Yar’adua’s kidneys has been the lowest since he was diagnosed with Churg Strauss disease in 2007 by a medical team in Germany. The source disclosed that the bed-ridden ruler now faces the certain prospect of prolonged – if not indefinite – hospitalization. The new grim turn in Yar’adua’s condition was also reflected in the somber tone of a statement issued in Abuja today by the federal executive council after its weekly meeting. “We’re in the dark about how Mr. President is doing,” a minister told Saharareporters this evening. “Everybody is engaged in a guessing game,” he added in response to a question by our reporter as to whether the ministers were aware of the latest decline in Yar’adua’s condition. In a sharp departure from the brash tone of last week when the council told Nigerians that the bed-ridden Yar’adua was still capable of running the country, today’s statement by the exco admitted for the first time that the cabinet has no clue when the sickly Nigerian leader would return to the seat of power. Nigeria’s Information Minister Dora Akunyili, who briefed the press after today’s federal executive council, said only Yar’adua doctors could determine for sure if and when he would be able to return to Abuja. Saudi local news sources monitored by The Nation newspaper in Kenya yesterday reported that Yar’adua might be moved to the US or Germany. But our source said the US was the most likely transfer location. Yar’adua’s son-in-law, Governor Isah Yuguda, and daughter are already in the US where his daughter will give birth. Even so, Yar’adua is currently in no shape to undergo a long flight to the US, according to the source. “May be if the experts assembled in Jeddah manage to stabilize him, then he would be flown to another country with better facilities and team of medical experts,” said the source. A source said Governor Yuguda traveled today to another city in the US, possibly in preparation for Yar’adua's transfer to the US. Mrs. Akunyili’s subdued submission today put paid to frequent propaganda by Yar’adua’s cohorts that he would be returning soon. Today’s statement by the federal executive council also squelched a promise by the office of “Vice President” Jonathan Goodluck that Yar’adua would speak by telecast at the opening session of the National Economic Summit later in the week. No mention was made of the planned telecast today. Meanwhile, several sources in Abuja told Saharareporters that the government was gradually grounding to a halt as Goodluck Jonathan continues to face stiff resistance by Yar’adua’s kitchen cabinet member and the ailing ruler’s ambitious wife. Both Turai and other fanatical loyalists of Yar’adua have so far blocked a lawful transfer of power to Jonathan. http://www.saharareporters.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4494:2009-12-10-00-03-54&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18 |
I think the Bank should have rather cut cost; reduce salary and so on, rather than sending innocent people packing with its attendant harsh consequence in already belligered nigerian economy. The current approach does nothing to restore confidence, instead it send a panicky signal. |
I beleive by faith the existence of God, that is the only way anybody can possibly beleive in the existence of God. The Genesis account is not convincing at all: That the universe, and life were created, within 7 days. Also biblical Chronolygy is out of place with the reality. If you trace backward from the time of Jesus Christ through the generations; Moses, Abraham etc uptill Adam, you discover we are talking about less than 10,000 years. In reality, The universe is more than a billion years old, life first emerge on earth about 540 million years ago, and human has been around since at least 200,000 years ago. (Note the intervals as well) |
Will be back |
@Aftertech Well I agree with you in so many points: Looking around, there a lot one can see that are marvelous, and will suggest the hand of a designer. But some questions still remain, for instance: "Who/what designed God" - since from the foregoing logic, 'every design has a designer' If God is the ultimate designer, himself being undesigned(It contradicts the logic), and if God is all loving why has evil persisted? -You may answer by explaining he is not responsible, that it is because of the "free will" he gave to man. But like someone, had asked earlier, Why couldn't he remove the "free will" The truth is that no one has offered a conclusive explanation, about this question of God's existence. We are often afraid to deny God's existence. We all we be happy to be convinced beyond reasonable doubt, that he really exist. |
From the foregoing, It is clear that man has a designer. "For every design, there is a designer" "For every move, the must be a mover" Now, who/what brought about the existence of God? Who/what designed God? As long as God, would not intervene, in real terms to address this, the debate must go on. The explaination by Genesis, is not very convincing-There is a discrepancy of how old human has been around compared to today's reasonable explanation. Also the fact dat many religion differs in explanation and beleive, has not help in convincing anyone. |
The sad thing about this issue is that women are very vulnerable to this con pastor, like Eve, the try to lure their husbands into the net of this disguised scammers. As you can see with their little or no contribution in this topic, the prefer to swallow hook and sinker whatever the man of God has to say.Again the "men of God" knows this and exploits it to the maximum by using them as gateways. Now my question: Why are women so vulnerable to con pastors |
Another great man from a poor country |
Weep not if u r affected, losing a bank job may turn out to a blessing in disguise, because bank job is more or less living in bondage. The releive gives you the much needed time to look for a more refreshing job, or better still, to exploit your entrepreneurial skills. |
we have been through this road before |
I think it is better to mary late "well informed" than to marry as a juvenille who scarcely had full knowledge of what marriage is all about |
that is fantastic for Africa Long live Africa! |
Just when we thought we are rid of these Political gangsters, they are making a come back. Virtually all the newly PDP elected Governors have put forward their EX as nominees 4 ministerial position to the president, after he(President) asked them(New Governors) to nominate for the posts. Among them are- Makarfi (Kaduna), Donald Duke (Cross River), Samuel Egwu (Ebonyi), James Ibori (Delta), Adamu Muazu (Bauchi), Achike Udenwa (Imo) and Adamu Aliero (Kebbi), They were said to be forming a pressure group that would protect their interests in the new government. They have also put their weights behind one of their own and former Governor of Benue state, Senator–elect George Akume, for the President of the Senate. Let us watch to see how the President will respond. |
