Backstabbing, the momentum for the elections is beginning to gather, Nigerian are watching |
Less than 24 hours to the primaries of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), an Enugu High Court has granted an interim order restraining the party’s national chairman, Okwesilieze Nwodo, from “parading himself as chairman of the party.” The order was granted by the presiding Judge, Reuben Onuorah, ruling that Mr. Nwodo should stop functioning as chairman and enjoying any benefits from the position, pending the determination of motion on notice for interlocutory injunction. The suit, No E/449/2010, was filed in December by Collins Amalu, a registered member of the party from Ngwo-Uno ward in Enugu State. In the suit, Mr. Amalu claimed that Mr. Nwodo was not a bonafide member of PDP. “At the time he left the PDP and sought to return to the party, he did not re-register as a member of the party and was not issued a membership card in line with PDP Constitution. This fact was publicly confirmed by Mr. Nwodo himself and enquiries made also confirmed that. Based on that, he is not entitled to hold the position, perform any function, or enjoy the benefits from the party,” the judgement said. The suit was further adjourned to January 31 for hearing. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the defence counsels, Ilochi Okafor(a Senior Advocate of Nigeria), and Mike Ajogwu, SAN, were absent at the court. Mr. Nwodo, a former national secretary of the PDP, was appointed as the party’s chairperson by the National Executive Committee of the party in June 2010, following the resignation of the then national president, Vincent Eze Ogbulafor. Mr. Nwodo left the party in 2003, but returned earlier in 2010 when the party welcomed back all its aggrieved members who had deserted the party for one thing or the other. The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the re-run governorship election in Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has been declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Mr. Uduaghan won in 14 of the state’s 25 local government areas, thus meeting the criteria of recoding victory in two-third of the local councils in the state. His closest opponent and governorship candidate of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), Great Ogboru, won 11 councils. But the margin of victory is more pronounced in the volume of votes, as Mr. Uduaghan almost won twice the number of votes won by Mr. Ogboru. However, Mr. Ogboru’s supporters protested the preliminary results released by INEC. The protesters, who besieged the INEC office in Asaba, alleged that the exercise was rigged by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and that the results being released were unacceptable to them. The DPP supporters could not gain access into the electoral commission’s premises due to the heavy presence of policemen and soldiers, and no official of the commissioner attended to them. At about 11.15am, shortly before the protesters arrived, Mr. Ogboru had walked into INEC’s office, conferred briefly with his agents, and hurried out. http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/News/National/5662231-146/story.csp |

So because Jesus greeted his diciples by saying peace be upon you, you think that makes him a muslim (chicken brain), tell me who came before who? muslims should rather be ashamed for copying Jesus Chrst. If you say your god is allah and allah is god, why not call him so, does he only understand Arabic. |

I was born in an African church, grew up in a Pentecostal and later in deeper life for about ten years. I left when I felt it was just boring, but after going to most of the popular churches in Lagos especially those around Ojota, I have good reasons to return to where I can hear the sound word of God and not just some motivational speeches. Somewhere where the destination of everyman, eternity is always taking the front burner, after all it is the end that matters. I like many things about the other churches I have visited, but believe me deeper life’s focus is on real essence of life. I respect those in other churches, and I will appreciate if you respect mine. I have seen it all, and I know what I am talking about. If you have any disagreement with deeper life, I can understand, those of us there, we too see some things, but tell me, is there any perfect system here on earth? Definitely not! So why not appreciate the good part and deemphasize the not too Ok part. Anywhere you worship, one thing is important, serve god with the whole of your heart spirit soul and body. I am a deeper lifer and I am proud to be one. |
i will try to be there, i hear deeperlife retreat are always full of ower and messages to draw you closer to God. This is what I really need for this festive season. |

Dear Senators and dishonorable members of this broken house, I am very sorry for saying that you expend over 25% of our national budget overhead cost. I am very sorry to state facts and figures, I know we don’t like to keep records in Nigeria and even when we do we don’t like to use it. I am sorry I made Nigerians to know how prodigal and reckless you have been with what should have been your own portion of the national cake; I know it is your right, sorry for taking your personal issues to the public. If you want me to prostrate, I will, insha Allah. I am indeed very sorry. I promise that henceforth, I will not say the truth again; I will tell Nigerians everything except the truth. So help me God Before I take my leave, is there any other question? |
the joke is older than your village and yet you want comments. go to hell!!! |
Why I took 65-year old wife, by Kumuyi Font size: OLUKOREDE YISHAU 28/10/2010 01:45:00 Pastor Kumuyi and his wife Esther, at the wedding General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi took a new wife last week in London. When the news broke, it sparked mixed reactions. While some felt it was in order, not a few wondered why the 71-year old cleric needed a new wife. The church has opened up on the turn of event, reports Assistant Editor (News) OLUKOREDE YISHAU Dressed in a modest suit, Pastor William Kumuyi and Esther Blaize , clad in a pink and purple skirt suit, exchanged the marriage vow last Wednesday. Guests were later ushered into the Crowne Plaza Hotel, London for a reception ceremony. And just like that, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry got married for the second time. Two days ago, key leaders of the church across the country, who were not privileged to attend the modest ceremony, were made to watch the video of the proceedings. Pastor Kumuyi lost his first wife, Biodun on April 11 last year. He took the news with calm. He even went on to handle the convention and shocked many by preaching at the funeral of his late wife. At the time of her death, Kumuyi was 70 years old. When asked last year if he was going to take a new wife, he said it was too early to think of that. With his age, not a few also thought he might just stay unmarried for the rest of his life. A statement by the church yesterday said Kumuyi’s decision to remarry was not entirely his. The statement endorsed on his behalf by the church’s Secretary, Pastor L Nnadozie said his marriage to Esther sparked joy and spontaneous happiness among members of the church. The statement reads: “Pastor Kumuyi had lost his wife, Biodun in April last year. The death of the woman affectionately called ‘mummy’ or ‘mama’ by members of the church, became a cause for concern for leaders in the church as she was almost inseparable from her husband. The church leaders were so concerned that the pastor must not remain lonely, that they led a delegation to encourage him to begin praying to God to give him another wife. The leaders also began praying for their pastor to get another partner. Although initially reluctant, Pastor Kumuyi later prayed and testified to the leaders that God had answered their prayers. This is what culminated in the marriage ceremony in London.” The statement revealed that the new wife, whose other names are Folashade Aduke, is the National and International Woman Co-odinator of the church. She is 65. And wait for this: she was never married, because, according to Nnadozie, she committed her life to the Lord. http://thenationonlineng.net/web3/news/17253.html |

I hate all these people who say Nigeria cannot achieve such feat. If you don’t believe that Nigeria can do it, try and get trapped you and your family in a well, Nigerian government will get you all out before 24 days. |
Last night I had a dreamt that 33 Nigerians Miners were trapped underground and the government sent a capsule down to rescue them one after the other, but the rescue had to be called off as the miners could not agree amongst themselves who goes first, Zoning was suggested but they could not agree on which zone will go first. Eventually in a struggle to all board at the same time, the capsule was damaged leading to the call off. Oh dear, sorry it was only a nightmare. In fact, the real problem was that the federal Executive Council awarded the contract to Ibori and we are still awaiting delivery 3 months after. There is a probe going on to unravel this and retrieve the award sum before we get to the issue of what formula to adopt for the rescue and which miner comes out first. Meanwhile traditional rulers from the miners’ towns are paying solidarity visit to the President to thank him for his efforts to rescue the miners. The first lady had just invited the wives of the Nigerian miners to Abuja for a dinner at the Hilton and Towers. The first ladies from the 36 states will also be in attendance. All including the wives of the miners will wear the Goodluck for President Ankara. CNN reported early this morning that after 10 months underground all the 33 Nigerians miners have died and the government has declared 7 days of mourning during which the Nigerian flag will be flown at half mast. A national prayer will hold on Friday at the National mosque and on Sunday at the National Christian Worship Centre Abuja. Please be there wearing the national colors!!! |
