An apparently angry parent of one of the abducted
Chibok schoolgirls yesterday bemoaned how some
individuals have decided to use them as a money
making venture rather than help them to advance
the rescue mission of their daughters.
Mr Bulama Jonah said he was amazed that some
individuals, both at the state and in Abuja had
turned the abduction of their girls into a franchise
where they could easily buy into for personal
benefits.
“We never knew human beings could be so cold-
hearted until this unfortunate plight befell us.
Nothing could be compared to our daughters. But
unfortunately, when government in the state sent in
relief items for the victims of the abduction, we
witnessed how those food items and even money
were being cornered and diverted.
“When we went to Abuja, monies were given as
transport fare and the whole world was accusing
us of trading off our children for pecuniary
benefits, but little did those critics know that even
we that were invited did not benefit half of the said
amount; it all went into the pockets of some
certain individuals.
“We are not interested in anybody’s money but the
freedom of our daughters; that is all we want from
government under whose custody the girls were
taken. Nobody should be use us for personal
gains; there are lots of atrocities being committed
in the name of our abducted daughters which we
would begin to expose in due course.
“We have been abandoned by everybody, including
the government officials. The only people talking
and remembering us consistently are members of
the BringBackOurGirls group in Abuja whom we
see every day sitting out for the sake of our
daughters; may God reward them,” Bulama
lamented.

An angry woman has bitten off the ear of a
secondary school girl for having an affair with her
husband in Ajegunle area of Lagos State,
yesterday.
The woman, identified as Mama Ijeoma, had long
suspected the girl – an SSS3 student identified as
Ada – of having an affair with her husband, but
could do nothing about it.
However, the woman was said to have blown her
top when she saw the pair having a nice time in a
beer parlour along Ojo Road.
Mama Ijeoma was alleged to have slapped the girl
twice; an action which made her husband,
identified as Papa Ijeoma, to give her two
resounding slaps.
Having been slapped by her husband, the
aggrieved woman promised to “deal with” Ada and,
before anyone could intervene, she pounced on the
hapless girl, tearing her top to shreds.
All efforts to appease the woman by her husband
and other onlookers proved abortive, as the
woman, in a rage, revealed that the girl had been
dating her husband long before they got married
last year and that she had had enough, after
warning her to leave her husband alone, to no
avail.
In a shocking move, the woman overpowered her
restrainers and pounced on the girl a second time,
biting off her ear.
LEADERSHIP FRIDAY understands that, immediately
her ear was bitten, Papa Ijeoma rushed the girl to
a nearby private hospital for medical attention,
while his wife left the scene before the arrival of
the girl’s parents. When Ada’s parents arrived,
they headed to the hospital to see their daughter.

Chris Giwa, who claims to have been elected NFF
president, has been quizzed by Nigeria’s anti-
corruption agency EFCC.
The associate’s banking transactions between
January and June this year were put at 300,000
Naira, but between June and August, the
transactions had skyrocketed to 250 million
Naira.Giwa was whisked away from his Abuja
home Friday by EFCC operatives to answer to the
banking transactions of one of his associates.
EFCC has now ordered 19 other persons who
transferred cash through this account to appear
before them on Monday.
The list includes an ex-international, who was
inaugurated on a six-man panel by Giwa to run
the Nigeria premier league till the end of the
season.

Mgpaki: Looking back in retrospect to my childhood days, i decided to share to my fellow nairalanders my favourite game then; Kantas.
"Kantas" as we call it in our native Hausa Language is a game which follows the format of football.

The Players.

The players consist bottled soft drinks crowns (pepsi, 7up etc) and sometimes mentholatum and robb containers. The goal keeper is usually a radio cassette

The Stadium.

The stadium is a rectangular area of about 45m long and 25m wide (when playing inside the house, we use the floor tiles for measurement) . The goal poles are made from flexible metals and rag is used as the net.

Format.

The game following the football format e.g 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 5-4-1 based on the team you are using(usually select my own favourite football team, R.Madrid).

No need for a refree or a line man.


Best game ever.
