Christian bigotry and the accusation of Muslim terrorism: do to others as you’d want them to do to you !
Bigotry is always a problem and Islamophobic bigotry is perhaps the worst in contemporary times, the usual tirade against Muslims is that they’re all terrorists, killers, bloodsuckers and frigging terrorist!(Coming to mind also is the illogical statement : not every Muslim is a terrorist but all terrorist s are Muslims).
However, the celebrations of the deaths of pilgrims in this year’s hajj probably showcases the extent of the hatred harbored by these individuals, I mean they celebrated the deaths of people simply because they were Muslims! Attempting to engage with these people especially on social media, as some Muslims have done, is ,in my view, not only wrong but misguided, individuals who gloat over peoples misfortune effectively put a question mark not only their upbringing but also on their humanity , animals, especially elephants, have been scientifically documented to show empathy when they pass by their dead.
It is would also be wrong for one to generalize, since we had a fair share of (not only) Christians (but atheists) who sympathized and commiserated with Muslims, right in front of me as I type this, is the letter of condolence issued by the office of the bishop of Bedford, the right reverend Richard Atkinson OBE, commiserating with Muslims, and that’s why this article is directed to Christian bigots.
The purpose of this article is not to respond to those who celebrated the hajj deaths, it is a short response to bigoted Christians who (irrespective of Muslim denunciation of the antics of ISIS, irrespective of the fact that all radicals or militants who carry out terrorist acts in the name of Islam don’t even represent 0.5 percent of Muslims) still believe all Muslims are terrorists.
The Pew research center estimates the number of Muslims around the world at 1.6 billion, official CIA figures estimate ISIS fighters at 31,500, that’s 0.001969% 0f world Muslims ,yet all Muslims are not only to apologize on their behalf (according to Rupert Murdoch) ,but they are responsible for their actions! According to bigots terrorism is what the Qur’an actually teaches (according to Ben Carson, William lane Craig etc.)

So what does the bible teach?
1) Kill all those who do not worship (the Christian) God.
They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. – 2 Chronicles 15:12-13 (NAB)
2) If a town is beginning to not worship God, kill them all! Oh – and burn it to the ground!
Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. 3) Kill you own relatives if they try to lead you away from worshipping God.

4) Not only is it okay to have slaves, you can beat them to near death as long as you don’t kill them.
When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. – Exodus 21:20-21 (NAB)
5) You can sell your daughter as a sex slave, just make sure everyone treats her a little better than other slaves.
When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do. 6) Spanking is probably good, but never rule out death.

Premarital sex is punishable by death! Well, for women.

9) It’s perfectly fine to rape an unmarried woman, but if you’re caught you must give her Dad 50 shekels and marry her.

These quotations are really a summary (taken from Mark Sandlin’s blog) of the horrors that one can find in the bible, a particular shocking story is the destruction of the Amalekites

Assuming the men are combatants what was the crime of the woman or the children or the ox, cattle, sheep, camels and donkeys?
When you confront the bigots with these verses usually the response is :
Well, you took the verses out of context!

While one can say that and more, the simple question to ask the bigot is did God sanction these killings? The answer: yes!
And according to Christian theology Jesus is God?

Or another response that Muslims are all terrorist because they demand the sharia, so what about the far right Christians (especially in the republican party) who advocate theonomy (from theos (god) and nomos (law), which is the idea that Mosaic law should be observed by modern societies) and imbibe dominion theology (which is the idea that Christians should work towards either a nation governed by Christians or one governed by a conservative Christian understandings of biblical law)
In fact the greatest atrocity of the 21st century, which can easily be laid on the feet of bigoted Christianity , is that George bush went to war (as reported by the Independent, the BBC and the Guardian newspapers) with Iraq because God told him to do so ,it is reported that every memo Donald Rumsfeld ( then secretary of defense) submitted to the president was headed by biblical verse , you would probably not believe that missiles and rifles used in Iraq had biblical verses etched on to them as George bush , who had become born again at 40, went to war with what he perceived as the land of ‘Gog and Magog’ (as instructed by the holy spirit).
A war that its casualties count has reached approximately 4 million.
Yet, every terrorists is a Muslim?
The ISIS has been roundly condemned by Muslims and they’ve (Muslims) denounced ISIS’s modus operandi as unislamic and not qur’anical, let me add to it:

No religion claims to be perfect but I sincerely hope you would pardon anyone who is affected by the ways ''few thousands of misguided humans'' have represented Islam through terrorism and acts of violence. It is crystal clear that no one loves the wanton destruction of lives and properties simply because one party disrespects the other party's god something that is synonymous with the ''few thousands of misguided humans practicing Islam''.
What I am simply saying is don't judge people who discriminate against Islam, it is simply because they do not understand the religion. Work on how to make them understand the religion and do that with the most gentle of diplomacy and courtesy as possible. In the long run, they will come to understand and appreciate you and your religion.
That is how Christianity gained follower-ship and worldwide appeal.
Ambassadors of Islam should learn to do same too by tolerance, good works, love, care, understanding, charity etc. Sooner than later, you will see Islam gaining ground and popularity but alas, what is obtained is people crying foul that other religions don't love Islam when it is so clear that ''few thousands of misguided humans practicing Islam'' are creating headlines everyday from bombing and destruction of lives and properties worldwide.
