CHELSEA FC⚽️: Tuchel has no desire to take time away from Football, the abrupt ending has left a bitter taste in his mouth as he is understood to indentify more closely with Chelsea than any of his other clubs. Tuchel’s initial wishlist included De Jong, De Ligt, Raphinha and Kimpembe, the owners delivered none. Boehly and Egbali leant on data analysts with experience in US sports while Tuchel stressed the need for him to talk to potential signings. Tuchel did not initiate a single conversation with one first team player at Chelsea for more than a year, offering him no guidance on how they could get back into his team whenever they fell out of the starting 11. (The Athletic UK) ℹ️@Chelsea_fc_worldwide Boehly described Tuchel as a nightmare to work with to a league executive. Tuchel was unhappy at being asked to report back to Egbhali about his team meetings and felt he was likely to be sacked during pre season. After Leeds, they stopped communicating. When Boehly met Cucurella in Mykonos:Over the course of his conversations with the player and his representatives,Boehly displayed detailed knowledge of Potter’s career—Boehly also contacted Potter to ask about Cucurella. Tuchel was unhappy at being asked to feed back to Eghbali about his team meetings and felt he was likely to be sacked during pre-season because of it, only for Boehly to smooth things over. After Chelsea had lost away to Leeds a few games into the season, Tuchel and the owners stopped talking. (The Athletic UK) ℹ️@Chelsea_fc_worldwide |
Capaldi:He deserves an explanation cos it seems this dude are already to spend money and their money must be justified, it doesn't matter whether they're big names or not, what matters is do they fit into the team tactics or not, that's was the data analysis is all about |
“Thomas Tuchel showed no emotional intelligence to adapt to the new structure and didn’t like speaking to so many people about transfers. "His role wasn’t as complicated as he made it out to be too. He just had to give his say in who he wanted” “Tuchel’s man management at the start was brilliant he got many players who were unhappy back in the team and built a brilliant squad harmony. "But then all of a sudden in the last six months that all evaporated and many players became frustrated with him. Especially the attacking ones. 5 out of the 7 attacking players wanted out." "Tuchel said no multiple times to Ronaldo as boehly and egbahli wanted a reason why he was saying no." "They wanted to sit down with him and look at it from a data aspect and see why didn’t fit the team and Tuchel simply didn’t like that." "The new ownership have been asking ppl about the hottest big prospect coaches around if they were gonna look to sack Tuchel back when they took charge of the club and Potter was a name which was coming back constantly and now hence why they moved for him." Matt Law - Telegraph @CFC_ChelseaFC This seems like the real he was sacked, conflict in ideas and vision between the gaffer and the owners |
Boehly learned that some senior players were unhappy with Tuchel’s tactics and is keen to make his own appointment. Chelsea used three formations in Zagreb, one of which included using Sterling in central midfield. Thomas Tuchel did not want Chelsea to sign Anthony Gordon. Todd Boehly's data analysts pushed for the signing after being impressed by some of his performance metrics. Thomas Tuchel was prepared to let Armando Broja leave Chelsea this summer due to believing he was not yet ready for his team. He was also ready to leave Hakim Ziyech depart. It was actually a 4-0 pre-season defeat to Arsenal that first made Chelsea's new American owners realize a change might be needed. Sources also tell CBS Sports that transfer deadline day was tumultuous. Tuchel became annoyed at the time it took to sign Aubameyang and felt Granovskaia would have got a deal for Ajax's Edson Alvarez over the line. [Ben Jacobs] #cfc ℹ️@Chelsea_fc_worldwide |
Back at the start of the summer, there were real hopes within the new ownership group that Thomas Tuchel would provide the much-needed stability and continuity as the club ventured into uncharted territory. Yet the ownership and management at Stamford Bridge did not know whether they could work together. These were characters flung together abruptly by circumstance. Chelsea’s new owners have quickly discovered what Abramovich had long since learned: as soon as the relationship between head coach and hierarchy is perceived to have broken down, there is no recovery. Five of Chelsea's seven attackers wanting to leave and being deeply unhappy during the transfer window was a reflection on Thomas Tuchel's management and something the owners were paying attention to. The Athletic @CFC_ChelseaFC |

Chelsea ideally want a new boss in place before the weekend and are acting with urgency as a result. Things moving very fast with Potter. Brighton fully cooperative. Potter himself keen on the move. Ben Jacobs - CBS Sports @CFC_ChelseaFC |
Graham Potter Not a big name coach. But just like Harry Potter the magician, the guy has performed admirably well in all his appointments. From his time in Sweden to currently with Brighton, its clear why he is Chelsea current best option. Pott is Not a big name coach but tactical Genius, down to earth guy who knows how to relate to players and bring the best out of average players. He prefers 3-4-2-1 but is very versatile and non rigid oftenly playing 3-4-3, 3-5-2 l. At osternds he prefered 4_4_2 double 6. that is very expansive and exciting to watch. His teams play proactive and never shy away from attacking irregardless of the opponents they are facing. This has brought him both joy and pain including the demolition of manchester united, Arsenal and leicester. Brighton unlike chelsea choose zones and traps to press. He sometimes sets his team up with zonal markings which end up catastrophically opening defence in wide areas. His midfield is also fluid and encouraged to move with balls to create space. During attack, his defenders push into midfield allowing the upfront players create a wide 5 attack. In a game you'd see his wingbacks coming in sometimes to create midfield overloads and cucurela was largely known for his vertical passes from wing positions and played as midfield pivot from Left Centreback position. But what would certainly make him a match for the new regime is his ability to develop young and average potential players. Tariq Lamptey has certainly flourished under him amongst others. Its worth pointing out also that most of the goals brighton have scored have mostly been moments of individual inspirations. Most long range efforts. Of the current crop of chelsea players only mount is known for this. It will be interesting to see how chelsea will find their way with this. It will be the period between 15/02/2022 - 16th March 2022 when he lost six consective epl games that should however cast confidence in his knowledge to ride predicaments. But at chelsea where only 3 cost Tuchel he will learn to adapt faster. It will certainly be a roller coaster of a ride. ️@ChelseaAnalysis |
Astrid4:They basically want someone who they will control day in day out ..Typical American behaviour Tuchel’s sacking and Potter's appointment has a deeper meaning ℹ️ @ChelseaAnalysis |
BREAKING: Graham Potter is likely to be confirmed as new Chelsea head coach TOMORROW. [Rob Dorsett] |
Graham Potter's will technically save the owners money during the transfer window as he loves to work a nd improve on what he has . Deep analysis needed here ℹ️ @ChelseaAnalysis |
Thomas Tuchel did not expect to get sacked by Chelsea, he was ready for training this morning and think about the match against Fulham. Todd Boehly feels he spent a lot of money to rebuild the Chelsea squad this summer and the results were not as expected Tuchel and Boehly tried to make it work in the summer, Tuchel was not so happy with some situations like not landing De Ligt who he wanted as top priority, Boehly wanted Ronaldo at Chelsea but Tuchel said no, many things were not perfect between Tuchel & Boehly. Boehly wants a manager who has ideas close to his plan, he wants to rebuild everything at Chelsea, the feeling around Boehly is this is just the beginning. Fabrizio Romano - Sky Italia @CFC_ChelseaFC @donjazet it's not a political decision, he simply needed change of personel, and a coach to implement his own idea and visions for the club |
donjazet:Sacking tuchel this soon Is actually a no-brainer |
Todd Boehly sacked Thomas Tuchel in a 10-minute phone call after calling him into a call conference with the Chelsea hierarchy. Tuchel pleaded for more time to turn things around, but was told time had run out. He was left shocked as the news sunk in. ➪ Sun Sport |
Boehly was looking at Erling Haaland at Man City and what Liverpool have been doing and felt Chelsea were slipping further behind, Potter will be given money in the January window and a long contract. Chelsea’s ownership didn’t feel Tuchel was animated enough over the new signings, the understanding was that not many of them were his signings and it was more broader approach, bringing players through that could be improved long term with good coaching. Sky Sports @CFC_ChelseaFC |

Chelsea’s new owners didn’t feel Tuchel was developing senior or younger players and players on the fringe felt disconnected, take Pulisic, Werner and Lukaku as examples.
