It is either we are one or we are not, no two ways abt it. We cannot continue to pampa this northerners and wat we get in return is violence. In unity colleges, entrance exams are conducted, pupils frm down south will score up to 143 bt they will not take them but a student frm sokoto, yobe, jigawa will score 3, 6 and they will be taken because of qouter system. What type of injustice is that, who ask them not to sabi book. Shame on our past leaders!

Alawe:
To clarify on the geographical location of Bight of Biafra, also called Bight of Bonny, it is a bay of the Atlantic Ocean on the western coast of Africa, extending east, then south, 370 miles (600 km) from the Nun outlet of the Niger River (Nigeria) to Cape Lopez (Gabon). Within the Bight of Biafra
are several islands, the largest of which is Bioko, belonging to Equatorial Guinea. Major ports on the bay are Malabo (on Bioko), Port Harcourt and Calabar (Nigeria), Douala (Cameroon), Bata (Equatorial Guinea), Libreville and Port-Gentil (Gabon). Is there any Igbo tribes or natives indigenous to this bay?

Those who attack them seem not to understand how democracy works and hence lack the knowledge of opposition party in a democracy like ours. Ofcourse if they dont checkmate apc govt nobody will do, our media is highly compromised here, so they are really doing thier job as an opposition. Ofcourse wen apc was the opposition they did thesame thing, so they shld keep disturbing if not apc govt will go to sleep..though am not really surprise with comments here because 90% of those on nairaland are under 18 so is expected.

Personal life and education[edit]
Adichie, who was born in the city of Enugu, grew up the fifth of six children in an Igbo family in the university town of Nsukka in southeastern Nigeria, where the University of Nigeria is situated. While she was growing up, her father James Nwoye Adichie was a professor of statistics at the university, and her mother Grace Ifeoma was the university's first female registrar.[4] Her family's ancestral village is in Abba in Anambra State

I can see that the name Abba confused you for Abia.
Abba is a town in Anambra along Anambra-Enugu expressway.
sorry abt that bro! Ofcourse i knw abba, close to ukpo arthor eze's village.

Etteh is part of enugu-ezike in igboeze north local govt of enugu state, they are igbos with little igala in their mist. Why are they agitating to go to kogi state?? Mayb to be under their king the Attah of igala. They have been under enugu state for yrs, marrying frm igbo, giving their kids igbo name, speaking igbo even.. Mayb they shld jst allow their Attah rule over them while th traditional ruler of etteh which i know is an igwe rule over the igbos and the idomas. I know idomas are not trouble makers so they will accept to be ruled by an igwe

Lol, this by force Biafra na wa o. This tells how hellish Biafra will be. Will you even let these so called minorities vote or have rights if they join Biafra? You are going online countering their positionhuh. Telling them that who are they to say no? It sounds like Biafra is looking for slaves. This is crazy, no wonder they are all running from Biafra. Biafra people have shown their hands too early.
wicked yoruba dev.il, how is it ur business? All the south south is part of old eastern state that made up biafra and biafra has been since 1967 so if it comes there will referedum, if they dont want to go, nobody is forcing anybody but the biggest prblm is u evil tribe that doesnt hv any thing in common with bt keep carrying it on head.

We are no. More afriad of media propaganda or afriad of those elders who are only interested in their protection. They have all failed, old eastern region are one, not even the yoruba's can divide us. It is normal pple on the street that will vote on the referendum and not one elder. Itsekiri pple are part of biafra strugle, God bless major general philip effiong..bifra chief of general staff from 1967 to 1970 during the 3yrs of biafran existence

Am not surprised, the man is a bushman, an illiterate. Anybody has the right to make open his displessure against the nigerian state if the person is not confortable with the happenings in the country jst like those who believe in the unity of nigeria has right to proclaim it. Go to other countries like spain, they hv such radio..those who want to break away frm spain. The man claiming to be preaching peace dont even know what he is doing. Africans...shame on the illiterate man looking for favour frm the govt

Kippah:
A word to the Igbos.
I really believe that everyone has a right to self determination. Even though the IBO's deem it fit to form a republic, bt trying to force other parts into their republic is also an infringement of the right to self determination by such regions. majority of this people you claim are part of a future Biafra are some of ur worst enemies who denounced u the civil war and massacred ur soldiers wen invaded in a bid to annex them as conquered territories, infact States like akwaibom and cross rivers are still very discriminatory of the ibos. Talking of annexing the binis, the urobos, the isokos, also show utter madness cause this people easily trace back their roots to Oduduwa, so how they suddenly become Biafrans is still surprising.
Trying to force people into their republic only shows that Biafra wouldn't really entrench core Democratic values.
If a people openly tells u that they aren't Biafrians, trying to force them into it only shows that its been done cause of the oil and gas deposit in the Niger Delta region.
While I may be neutral to Biafra struggle, I will urge them not to try the impossible which they can never get. Its just like the Palestinians asking Israel to give up Jerusalem which would never happen.

Politics › Re: The Single Biggest Mistake Igbos Made Supporting Jonathan And PDP by athaboi(f): 9:53pm On Oct 27, 2015
dinachi:
Now that the duplicity of the Ijaws are becoming clearer especially after the zoning of PDP presidential ticket to the north after the political sacrifice Igbos made supporting the Ijaws, with cooler heads, we can still retrace our steps back as a people. Many of our people on nairaland and offline shouted ourselves hoarse trying to warn our people that the duplicity of the Ijaws does not deserve support but our people failed to listen.

It was former President Jonathan that fired the first salvo when he openly declared PDP an Ijaw party at a rally in Bayelsa without even remembering the sacrifices Igbos made for his elections both in 2011 and 2015. Before our people could recover from the shock the PDP acting chairman Uche Secondus, another Ijaw man, zoned the presidential ticket in 2019 to the north.

Before we can retrace our steps, we need to identify our major mistake. We need to avoid making this same mistake again if we are to reclaim our position in national politics. So what was our greatest mistake? We allied with a minority tribe to produce a president! Through out the history of Nigeria, two out of the three major tribes of Igbo hausa and Yoruba must back a candidate before he can win presidential elections.

But in 2015, we forgot that formula and wasted our precious time supporting an Ijaw president. Ijaws do not have the numbers to be of any serious political value to our people and I believe it is time we begin to think about leaving their party PDP for them and linking up with APC where we can interact with other major tribes of similar size, capacity and numbers!

Aprt from their backstabbing nature, Ijaws do not have the numbers to be useful to us in national politics. We dont need them, they need us.
fvck off u idi.ot...igbos never made any mistake, it was one of the best good choice made by the igbos in recent times. U want igbos to support buhari witout beeing convience? Go and sit down u small boy.. Stop saying we because u no be anything close to igbo
