Hello, good afternoon. Please someone had asked about how you can make the total landing cost of a 2003/2004 Highlander N1.6M, especially at the present naira to dollar exchange rate. I think you should not just ignore him. Try and answer, so that potential customers like me can also be re-assured. I would also want to know the total landing cost to Benin city for a 2005/2006 Toyota Highlander and a 2007 Toyota Corolla. Clean and neat history. Thanks. |
will 1.5M do it? Is custom etc included in the price? |
Looks good. However, will N2M do it? What is the % down payment? What is the duration between the time of order and delivery at doorstep in Nigeria? Where is it coming from? |
Yes! Mileage and fabric is okay with me. |
Fhemmmy, Happy New year!! ![]() It has been quite a while. I praise your resilience. anyway, what is the pre-order price for a 2006 Highlander? No sunroof. good mileage. Thanks |
Lomaxx, Please, kindly send to ehisuan@gmail.com thanks a lot |
I have taken time to patiently read all the comments on the above topic At the end of it all, I can broadly divide the various comments into broad groups:- 1. Those who address the issue squarely and are pro-doctors 2. Those who address the issue also, but are anti-doctors 3. Those who completely deviate off topic to comment on their experiences in the hands of Nigerian doctors or in a Nigerian hospital 4. Those who have come to the topic to vent some unfathomable hatred for the Nigerian doctor 5. Those who seek to politicize the topic. i.e. "all these strikes are anti-Jonathan's govt, etc..." 6. Those who just want to avert a strike by appealing to both parties. I may not have captured all, but i beleive the above form the major categories. I will not engage in brick bats or insults. I will only seek to correct some fallacies that have being expressed in previous comments. 1. A resident doctor has 3 primary responsibilities (among many other minor ones), these are: SERVICE DELIVERY: This is where he/she provides health care to the patients TRAINING: This is where he/she reads, accumulates knowledge (both practical and theoretical) and tackles various exams for a period ranging from 6 years to 9 years (depending on the specialty). This is after the usual 6 year medical school. Completing this additional training qualifies one to be a specialist in that field (Pediatrician, Obstetrician, Cardiac Surgeon etc) RESEARCH: During this 6-9 year period, the resident doctor engages in various research endeavors which serve to increase the body of knowledge. This culminates in a final dissertation which ALL residents in training must present and defend before they are awarded a FELLOWSHIP of a college of physicians or surgeons; and can therefore be referred to as a consultant. 2. All the above duties are carried out CONCURRENTLY. Residents don't work regular 8am-4pm work hours. You close from work when you are through with all the above duties. many a time it can be 6pm to 10pm. There is no public holiday, you can be called upon at any time if there is an emergency. Even if you are not on call. Including weekends. 3. Regular Calls can range from 24hours to 72 hours straight! Some times, it can even exceed that. Catching a wink of sleep when on call is a luxury. 4. There is no civilized country in the world were Resident doctors are not paid for the services they are rendering while in training. There are bad eggs in every profession, lawyers, engineers, accountants etc. However, that does not excuse us from falling into the fallacy of hasty generalization. I have seen doctors donate blood to save the lives of patients, I have seen doctors pay hospital bills several times for indigent poor patients; I have seen doctors go the extra mile and even take up other people's duties (e.g the social worker) for patients.... And here we have a topic saying that these crop of doctors have not been paid for 4-6 months and are SIMPLY demanding to be paid for what they have WORKED for; and some people can still come out and post that they should not go on strike. After working as I have described above without pay after a 21 day ultimatum was issued and ignored what do you want the resident doctors to do? Exist on water and air only. Would you love to be operated on by a Doctor who has not been paid for 6 months and doesn't know where his next meal is going to come from? If we the followers think this way, should we then be surprised at the crop of leaders that we have? Should we then be surprised that our country is in the state it is in? Should we be surprised at the state of our health sector? Should we wonder why India is the new medical MECCA for every and any ailment? The Nigerian doctor is one of the least paid in the world (check Google). And even a legitimate demand for that pittance to keep body and soul together is been considered to be WRONG ![]() I shudder for this country...... |
