my tecno D5 suddenly now Shows temporary touch tracing on d touch screen. don't really know what to do. Techies kindly help. thanks. |
u can actually get the tecno n7 for 30k-31k in some shops in computer village. and u are right, the lack of 3g is the downside of the D5, otherwise, it has a larger screen than the N3. Don't know what to do about that now. |
don't know where u got your specs from o! I got d Tecno D5 2 days ago, and it has only GPRS and EDGE on both sims. the RAM is 512mb. though your other specs are correct. price was 13k at computer village ikeja. so where did u get your own specs? |
the outcome of this match was never in doubt except to d most 'die hardest' or d most hopeful (of a miracle) of blues fans. Benitez, Torres, Benayoun and anything 'former liverpool' is poison to d blues. I am just waiting for d season to end. Hope at this rate we go see UCL PLAY next season. Roman killed this season. RAFA OUT!! ** but that one na sure banker now sha** |
The commentator jst gave a damning statistic about Mikel. " Mikel has played 136 matches in the EPL without a goal! No other midfielder in premiership history has ever gone that long without scoring!" Make I add my own - "even no goalkeeper!?" :-) Dem swear for am? HABA! Meanwhile, its halftime. I think this match is in the bag for chelsea. But Torres.... Torres... That one, no contest, DEM SWEAR FOR AM! |
“2nd only to USA in fighting corruption”; and James Ibori was acquitted here and jailed in the UK. “2nd only to USA in fighting corruption”; and the Halliburton probe is dead in the water as at now, with no one convicted. “2nd only to USA in fighting corruption”; with the Elumelu power probe scandal swept under the carpet and never heard of hence. “2nd only to USA in fighting corruption”; with former Gov Peter Odili strutting the national landscape, with a ‘perpetual’ court injunction preventing anyone from prosecuting him for his past crimes. Aah, and lest I forget his wife is being made a Supreme court Judge and CFR recipient. “2nd only to USA in fighting corruption”; and the Subsidy probe fraud/scandal and Otedola/Lawan-gate issue is slowly being pushed into national forgetfulness. “2nd only to USA in fighting corruption”; and your good friends Alamiyiesiegha, Lucky Igbinedion and Joshua Dariye cannot dare set their feet on UK soil for fear of REAL prosecution “2nd only to USA in fighting corruption”; and former Govs Nnamani, Turaki, Senator Andy Uba et al (all with corruption charges against them) are still sitted in the hallowed chambers of the senate making laws for the rest of us. “2nd only to USA in fighting corruption”; Indeed! Happy independence to a pathetic Nation..... |
Jamji: im wondering with all these talent shows here and there is there any other show that can teach our young people about business/self employment, give jobs, empower millions etcSpoilsport! Carry your "over serious self" out of the TV/MOVIES section to education or business you hear? I am so tired of these people forming more piety than the pope. Can't we just enjoy entertainment for a while? And who says you shouldn't/can't start your own empowerment shows in your neighborhood. Mtscchhheeeewwww! I'll give my comments about crowd favorite Marvellous being upstaged by Ayo later..... |
I agree that Olusola Oke oratorially is faring better in this debate, but it still sounds like the usual PDP hogwash ![]() The PPA guy tries to come across as a technocrat, who has done his homework. But some of the methods he espouses are simply utopian. I wonder why d audience bust into laughter when the SDPC candidate said retirees are being paid regularly?? Guess the joke is on Mimiko:-)). |
Akeredolu and Mimiko throwing brikbats at each other and sometimes forgetting the essence of the debate. Akeredolu partiularly has been quite unimpressive in his responses. I had expeted better. The PDP guy is quite a speaker, but his party will be his albatross! Mimiko, as usual the orator. Stating what he has done which is always an advantage for the incumbent. But he should forget personal attacks and focus on the issues. The other 3 candidates are just jokers! Moderator, front page pls! |
With reality shows/competitions, there is always a degree of manipulation no matter how subtle . that is the gospel truth. I also agree with the comment about Musulyn, MTN will want to still preserve the so called west african tag on the show by making at least one non Nigerian make the final 5. So that should be the next manipulation one should watch out for Shocked about Ella though So, as some previous posts have predicted, Oyinkansade and christain (the guy is always up for eviction ) should be the next to go, then the battle for the winner will then start proper. I don't want to make any prediction here becos of what happened in season 3, when one of the best singers (Tolu went home empty handed, and an average singer called 'fine boy' Eyo was 2nd runner-up. same thing last season when Ochuko was robbed! All in all, PJ fame remains far far better than other talent hunt competitions like GLO naija sings. Where are all the past winners of naija sings sef ![]() |
@ toba, you are right about Marvellous being this year's most likely winner. Vocally, he is light years ahead most of the other contestants. I see Adetoun coming a likely 2nd. She has this unique 'jazzy' voice ![]() @Semidylyfe, I will not even comment on your myopic view. So Chidinma, Inyanya (current rave-of-the-moment) and Timi are failures eh ![]() Obviously your sense of judgement is intellectually challenged!! Dear moderators, why is this not on frontpage yet?? If na 'Actress A or Actor B eating corn' , una go don put am for front page sharp sharp ![]() Abeg do the right thing jor! FRONT PAGE PLS.... |
Azarenka LEADS 4 - 1 2nd set!! 2 break points I eat my words o! Nor be initial-gra-gra (IGG) again o! Except Serena bounces back, Victoria is taking this set. I am really enjoying this US open women final this year |
IGG!! Victoria breaks serve in the 2nd set! and goes on to win second game!! Now 2 - 0 in the 2nd set. Advantage Azarenka. E be like say Serena dey rest small ![]() |
And Serena CRUSHES Azarenka in 34 minutes; 1st set 6 - 2 I don't see any way back into the game for Victoria. Serena is playing so well. Booming serves. Powerful returns. All Azarenka's points have been dependent on forced/unforced errors from Serena! 12 winners to only 2 winners for Victoria complete dominance! ![]() |
where is everybody? Serena is demolishing Azarenka!!! Already 3 - 0 in the first set Serena unleashing that her weapon of mass destruction (HER SERVE). Its been ace after ace ![]() |
Its nice to see what a kick Chelsea-haters get when the blues loose !I know some Arsenal and Man U fans that are more delirious with joy at a Chelsea loss, than when their teams win ![]() Quite pathetic. Anyway make una enjoy the moment. Chelsea will return to the EPL where they will continue to trounce their fellow English underachievers ![]() |
lynxpro: Poor write up. Is the writer of this article expecting the EFCC to tender the probe report in court to nail the indicted? The probe report was always going to be a framework. Law courts convict, and to get such convictions, the prosecuting bodies need solid facts to back up their claims hence the need to perform a thorough investigation. So I think the EFCC is doing its job as expected.EXACTLY!!! ![]() |
superior1: You are the one who should read the article thoroughly again. This time, try to engage your mind, read neutrally and dump your biases! The EFCC is using the report for THEIR OWN investigations. it was a fact finding committee, which came out at the end with recommendations. You expect the EFCC to just go to court with the committee report and directly prosecute ![]() I maintain that it was a misleading and mischievous headline! ![]() |
And against all the hue and cry, Madam patience still accepted the post of Perm sec in Bayelsa state. Now it will be YES SIR, to Jona and YES SIR to Gov Dick. Nigeria, the theater of the absurd! Got this from a site and, I just got to share it. The Dame Doesn’t Give A Damn! Her Excellency, Dr (Dame) Patience Jonathan is a woman in a class of her own. From her numerous “degrees”, to her world famous utterances, she never ceases to provide on one extreme , comic relief and on the other extreme, sober reflections about the sad state of Nigeria . Since coming on the national scene in 2007, she has proven time and over again that she enjoys power and the trappings and attention that come with power. Aspiring for power or enjoying the benefits thereof are in themselves not illegitimate ambitions but reason dictates that these must be done with moderation and ethical considerations. Does the Dame care about ethics or moderation? No, she does not give a damn! Mrs Jonathans banal statement at her swearing in ceremony earlier today have provided once again, an occasion for stock-taking: looking backward to see what lessons the country might learn from its relatively short democratic history, and how these lessons might influence future choices both in terms of who leads the country and if necessary, constitutional amendments. I also believe that her statement ought to be utilized as an opportunity to open up for discussion, broader issues on the demand for accountability in public office in Nigeria. Dame Patience today in her characteristic use of the English Language said “We the wives of political office holders, if our names are not in the constitution and our husbands retire with benefits, the Constitution amendment committee should also look into the issue of wives of political appointees”. She went further to say “We should be included in the Constitution so that we too can retire with benefits. With that we can enjoy our career”. Of all the serious issues Nigeria is battling with, does the Dame think saying “I do” to a political office holder qualifies her for consideration not to talk of inclusion in the Nigerian constitution. What does she think the Nigerian constitution is? A pamphlet? The dame does not give a damn! She wants benefits. Mrs Jonathans utterances today are an embodiment of who she is fundamentally and her very selfish and greedy view of her position. What example is she setting for other public officials when shortly after being sworn in as a Permanent Secretary, she was still making demands for the benefits that would accrue to her in her other position as the First Lady. Was she trying to say that if she is not included in the constitution, she would not “enjoy” her career? Which of her careers? As a teacher? As a Civil Servant? As a First Lady or as a Permanent Secretary? The career that was put on hold 13 years ago when her husband became the Deputy Governor? Nigeria is probably the only country in the world where an individual is made a Permanent Secretary for work not done, or in anticipation of work to be done. The Dame does not give a damn. All she wants to do is to “enjoy”. Enjoy here, enjoy there. Enjoy in Bayelsa, enjoy in Abuja! Her statement also brings to the fore questions such as the ethics of being a First lady and at the same time being a Permanent Secretary in a state. How does the Commissioner who is supposed to be her boss address her? How does the governor of the state address her? Her statements signal insensitivity, profligacy and absolute greed. Her actions remind of the words of Erich Fromm “Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction”. Does the Dame care about the average Nigerian or Erich Fromm? No she doesn’t? She does not give a damn. The average person on the streets of Nigeria is frustrated. People are in pain and are aggrieved about the state of the country .Citizens are suffering and smiling. All the average Nigerians wants is an opportunity to excel and give back. For how long are we going to endure? The Dame doesn’t give a damn about all these. She wants to be included in the constitution. But why does Dame Patience Jonathan not give a damn? Her husband, our president, our leader, the all mighty Dr Goodluck Jonathan does not give a damn, why should she? The Dame has by her actions once again missed an opportunity to redeem her already battered image and has chosen to continue to make avoidable blunders . She has done this firstly by accepting the appointment, secondly by rationalizing the appointment, and thirdly by making statements that do not convey any deep thought. Is the Dame a reflection of our attitude as Nigerians? Do we act like “we don’t give a damn” about wrongdoings in our workplaces, in schools, on the roads, in our places of worship? Wherein lies the future of our country? Why are we so unlucky? Until we begin to provide critical answers and act on those answers, Dame Jonathan and her ilk would continue to have a field day. After all we don’t give a damn! Why should she? Edward Ojo Eojo20@gmail.com |
Some times i think NL moderators and some posters need to have their heads examined! This is a completely misleading and infact, WRONG heading/title. The EFCC did not 'dump' the report, they are using it as a template for their own investigations, which was the recommendation of d commitee. they can't just begin to prosecute people without their own inv. And see how fellow NLers jst begin to insult without bothering to read thru the article first! Na wa for una o.... |
FINAL RESULT: ACN - 477478 ANPP - 3642 CPC - 2793 LP - 604 NCP - 540 PDP - 144235 SDMP - 807 And the WINNER is COMRADE ADAMS ALIYU OSHIOMOLE!! :-) Anenih may be having a massive coronary right now. If this doesn't finally retire this old cargo, i wonder what will. ACN - 77% of votes PDP - 17% of votes THE REST - the rest % of the votes. ;-) Edo people have spoken loud and clear. Guys are out on the streets in my area with brooms (the ACN symbol) sweeping the streets and singing 'sweep, sweep, sweep PDP away oooooo.....' hahaha! |
so from my observation in this election, particularly in edo central where i am based, d eletion is not being compromised in d usual way of ballot box snatching or stuffing, it is via BUYING of votes, both secretly and openly. I felt so ashamed that d youths are d major culprits in this case. Some of them openly looking for where to sell their votes. Also surprisingly this open compromise of voters was done in d full glare of both INEC officials and police! They simply acted blind!! |
i voted in irrua, esan central LGA. peaceful process of accredidation, no thuggery. But blatant, open, buying of peoples votes by both parties, but here mainly by PDP. Culprits are mainly youths and some women. some with children on their backs! No open distribution of cash though, they vote, raise the ballot paper up to show d PDP oga, then after voting they go to where d guy is sitting and write their names down!!! Some of these youths and women even give their cards to d party goon! |
"30%-40% of Nigerians are Diabetic"! !What kind of Lawmakers do we have? U mean someone reeled out d above falsehood in d house of reps and no one told him that stat was balderdash?? SMH and feeling sorry for the kind of NA we have. |
Nikkygal, I have checked all those links u posted, but they have not rrally helped me as I wish. please I welcome more advice/suggestions, particularly from persons with personal experiences here in Naija. Thanks. |
Dear Nairalanders, Over the last 3months, I became worried that my son who clocked 2 years last december, is unable to speak even one word, e.g. 'dada' or 'mama'. On further observation i have also noticed that he avoids eye contact as much as possible, and also likes to play on his computer by himself a lot. Avoids playing with children of similar age also. Consulted a speech Therapist, and she said she notices some autistic features. he is the 2nd of my only 2 children. I am deeply worried indeed, and would be happy if Nairalanders, particularly those with experience with autistic children (here in Nigeria) share with me how to cope with such an unusual condition. Thanks. |
I really don't know why a lot of the time a topic for reasonable discourse suddenly degenerates into a forum for trading insults on the pages of nairaland. Quite disheartening I must say. We as a people should try to tolerate other peoples opinions even when they differ radically from ours. That said, I have to say my piece about this issue as one who schooled, lived and works in benin for most of my life. No one can really say that Adams is not working, but the poster should really not have chosen the vexing issue of roads. Most of the posters praising Benin city roads rally don't reside in benin. Adams had started out with massive road rehabilitation/city beautification with so much gusto, but the fact is that even the roads that were formally repaired are now falling into disrepair. many inhabitants actually now use the bypass to cut off the bad inner city roads. the ONLY roads in benin with no present major issues would be Akpakpava rd and sapele road. The later which the poster put up pics. The street lights and traffic lights in some parts of town that initially used to work have stopped working. The well worn excuse that 'this is a federal road' has become a stale song. Bola Tinubu used that in Lagos, and Fashola came and repair those same roads without any noise. The major roads in Benin are federal roads, and Oshiomole needs to deal with it. Presently there seems to be more effort on beautification, than repairing the crater filled roads. We all await with bated breath for the dry season when they say some of these roads will be tackled. My exhaust nearly pull comot for Iyaro the other day Presently needing attention, Uwelu rd, Evbareke, textile mill rd, Urubi, 5 junction, tomline, Uwasota, Medical stores, Okhoro, ALL GRA ROADS, Aduwawa, AIRPORT RD Ugbowo-Lagos rd, upper mission, abeg my fingers don tire to type! But if Adams can just first of all tackle the irritating security problems (kidnapping, robbery etc) together with the above and a few other things he would become our own Fashola. For now he is really average looking good because those b4 him were so bad. Just my 2 cents. No insults o! As me I nor curse anybody ! |
heeelloooo, Any help regarding where i can get the toshiba Satellite L300 battery? At least I type and spell check properly. ![]() |
Still awaiting a response. ![]() |
