Some based on your reasoning right now, I painted northern politicians as saints? Do you even know me or read my comments on this forum? Who told you I believe in the government of Buhari? A man I've always criticized and pointed out on several ocassions, his corruption cases in the past and how he let his corrupt friends on the loose while Southern politicians were hunted down. Think before you type bro and don't you go about attacking your fellow PDP guys just because they reasoned differently from you.

If you had read this thread well, you'd have known that my intention was that of having the ones who might want to be involved in one looting activity or the other (down south) to become up and doing while the ones who the administration decides not to probe will further cause mayhem on some certain regions (definitely not south).
My comment speaks for itself. Take it as you may........

Some OPs in the forum come from a different planet. You opened a thread to carry out the usual blackmail of the average SS or SE politicians as you attempt to paint your masters as saints. The reality on ground in Nigeria across the zones makes your thread laughable. Nevertheless we are used to the pretentiousness. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy Oya keep singing that song all SS/SE politicians are corrupt but rest of your almajiris and slaves are saints.

PS if you don't know Tompolo is a major provider of Jobs to many families in his Burutu/Gbaramatu axis, then seek some knowledge before you carry out your kick and run thread.

Oil prices have fallen no doubt and we don't export as much as we used to quite sure. GEJ may not have completed diversification but he started the process. Agriculture was given due attention under him. Local content bill was signed as he encouraged local manufacturing, he supported initiatives eg Innoson. I have not put any blame on bihari even thou boko bombing has Increased exponentially, lopsided appointments...*lip sealed*

On your last sentence, its N243-$1 today, it could be N300 by the time buhari leaves, hope you won't come back to fault GEJ? lol
N300 to $1 before December 2015.

At which point I refer to the examples of South Korea and Japan and even China and Singapore.

Raise education standards, invest heavily in industry, spend less on vanity projects....and stop importing things you can make.

I could summarize it as Living as if you have no resources.

APC better pass the books, and forget about oil. Because...the era of high oil price is over. America is now nearly a net producer of oil.

Dutch diseased nations don't do well.
I asked a simple question, what resources.

Truth!

Look...Nigerians....we have no option.

All these years when we should have gotten off oil...we spent on over-importation of things we could manufacture.

The era of oil imports is over. Nigerians....please kindly tell your governors and PMB to develop our industries.

And by the way....if transformation worked....we would not have been here! grin
Develop industries with what?
PoliticsNaira Falls As S&P Predicts Devaluation By 15% by atlwireles(op): 5:45pm On Jul 16, 2015
Naira on Wednesday slide against the US dollar across segment of foreign exchange market as a result of strong dollar demand by end users and importers.

After trading on Wednesday, the local currency weakened by N2 or 0.84 percent at the Bureau De Change segment of the foreign exchange, closing at N240/$ compared with N238/$ the previous day, BusinessDay survey has revealed.

At the parallel market, naira lost N1 or 0.42 percent in value against the dollar as it closed at N241/$ as against N240 the previous day, while at the inter-bank the nation’s currency depreciated slightly by N0.09k/$ or 0.20 percent to N198.43k/$ from N198.04/$ the previous day, according to data obtained from Financial Markets Dealers Quotations (FMDQ).

Meanwhile, ratings agency Standard & Poor’s said on Wednesday that Nigeria will have to devalue its currency at some stage, possibly by more than 15 percent.

David Cowan, Africa Economist managing director, Citi Research, London, forecast 10 percent adjustment in naira from its current fix in 2020.

Investors have seen a devaluation of the naira as long overdue for Africa’s largest economy and biggest oil exporter, which has been battered by the recent tumble in crude prices.

Following devaluations in November and February, authorities have focused recently on curbing access to hard currency on the official interbank market for importers of some goods, introducing stringent restrictions three weeks ago, Reuters reports.

But those measures just delay the inevitable, said Ravi Bhatia, director of sovereign ratings at Standard & Poor’s.

“Another devaluation is inevitable… they will have no option but to devalue,” said Bhatia at a media briefing.

Many investors are positioning for a devaluation of around 15 percent. Bhatia said that sounded “reasonable,” though even more might be needed.

The pipeline vandals don't have any reason to operate anymore. The almost weekly bombing of gas pipelines, affecting mostly pipelines linking gas to the South western region is now under suspension. Who and whom are the beneficiaries of this sudden change, the answer will lead to the people responsible for the almost non stop carnage, just 2 months ago.
